As one of the Japanese fans, It is very honored to be picked up like that. Thank you for your respect!🇯🇵
Great work deserves recognition. Enjoy!
Kawamura is "NBA Chris Paul" of Japan. Congrats Japan.
You gotta commend Tom Hovasse. Led the women's team to the silver medal in the summer Olympics, then went on to resurrect their men's team.
Absolutely. I believe his work maximized their chances of clinching the Olympic ticket. Fantastic work. Team followed their identity, modern set plays & played hard. What more can you ask?
Really? That's amazing!
It's a great recipe for success. Although Hachimura is absent, this is the best squad that Japan has put together, with talented and confident players like Baba, Watanabe, Togashi, Hiejima, Hawkinson or Kawamura, and everyone is believing in their coach and system. I hope they will do well in the Olympics and upset strong teams 🏀
Everybody chipped in. A lot of players had their moments. Beautiful to watch@@deanfleischer6239
Can't wait to see more from Akatsuki Japan! Truly, one of the biggest surprises in the 2023 world cup.
I have to agree. Latvia and Brazil also in the conversation
@@AugustasSuliauskasI became Lativa fan through this worldcup.Go!Latvia!!
I’m American But will cheering for Japan
We miss this team basketball in the NBA. Not only 2 stars but a TEAM with attitude! 🔥🔥🔥
Hope they do good in Paris Olympics 2024 specially if they include Rui Hachimura i the line-up. Coach Tom Hovasse did amazing coaching to the Men Senior's Team as he did with the Women's Senior Team.
That’s a harder task but we will see. I thought Coach Hovasse did an amazing job. Players followed their team’s identity, played with passion & they had smart set plays. What more can you ask
@@AugustasSuliauskas Coach Hovasse also coach Japan Wowmen team that able to get silver on Olympics
The New King of Asian Basketball..😊
AKATSUKI JAPAN🇯🇵🗾
Imagine Rui Hachimura joining this team. Team Japan would be the surprise team at the Paris 2024.
Right. All this done without Hachimura, too. Makes it even more impressive
He has to join the Paris 2024.
They're now placed on 18th in FIBA.They'll make in 15th soonly.
If Japan with Hachimura win a bronze medal in the Olympics, it'll be something to make their country be proud of. Getting an Olympic medal in basketball.
Why was Hachimura not there?
biggest respect for Japan. Good luck in Paris!
great content by the way
Really love this team. Their dedication and hustle is stunning to watch.
Everybody had their moments as well. Every player that stepped on court gave something to the team
CONGRATS JAPAN!
What a Rukawa like story by Watanabe. A Mitsui like shooting by Tominaga.A Ryota like ball handling by Kawamura and Togashi. A Akagi like rebounding ability by Hawkinson. I wish Sakuragi(Rui Hachimura)play in Olympics they'll be deadly for sure😅
There's other basketball anime besides Slam Dunk. Like Ahiru no Sora and Kuroko's Basketball.
@@rbermea I know but Slamdunk is the OG of them all and Slamdunk is the most realistic of them all no gimics such as Zone in Kuroko
Inoue Takehiko, the author of slam dunk was very much present in Okinawa to support the team. Yudai baba even posted a photo with him after they successfully punched a ticket to the olympics. A pretty emotional time for their team for sure. And we love to see it!
@@98animeaddict Wow! Thats absolutely amazing. How I wish Inoue sensei continues Slamdunk 'cause it's 2nd in my most favorite sports anime next to Hajime no Ippo🤭
It's like Slum Dunk figures with the Japanese team, 3 points from 三井壽, control from 宮城良田! Great Japan team, you have made the dream come true!
*Imagine if size doesn't matter. Japan men's basketball team might be top 10 Global* ✅
日本确实是好样的,值得敬佩。
Hovasse tinkered with the starting lineups and found the right combination, with Kawamura and Hawkinson as the catalysts. Watanabe, Heijima and Tominaga all took their turns with huge games at the right times. This team is fun to watch.
日本はこの戦い方にメダルという勲章を得て、評価してもらう。それがバスケのこれからの目標
Really enjoy with the offense of japan
2:12、河村選手のスクリーンを使わないリジェクトも最高でした!
そのあとの1on1もまるでアイザイア・トーマス!
I would love to see an Asian team beat team USA at one point.
They did in Women's football world fiba cup in 2011 Japan beat the heavily favored U.S to win the World cup the first Asian nation to do so.
With Hashimura in the Olympics they can win at least once… good luck Japan 🎉🎉🎉
The B. League really helped develop their locals.
I heard only good things about Japan basketball lately.
Hope to see Yuki Kawamura playing in nba in the future
If Japan keep playing like this they could beat USA in the future.
Congrats Japan...I'm so happy for my man Yutah!
🍁go Canada! 🍁
The Rising Sun keeps Rising! :D
Very good analysis of how Japan played. They are unpredictable, fast and constany moving. This Japan team is perhaps the team that has most heart and spirit to win games in the FIBA 2023. 👏👏👏
Thank you!
They know their playstyle and stick to it well👌
And it’s hard not to love it!
タイトルめっちゃいい
Japan plays with style and dignity. The arena was spotless after the game as well.
ナイス
河村勇輝
👍
Love how japan adopted golden state warriors style bball. Struggle on paint shoot lights out.
Japan ❤
When I see what Japan, does in basketball, can´t stop think about Slam Dunk.
thank you for the great video
appreciate the comment
Wrong, its not heart that wins them a game, its their system and they execute it to perfectly..... all teams and players play their hearts out there..... it just a matter on who execute their system and style perfectly....
Thats astonishing!
I miss our Philippine team in 2014, where our guys are like this Japanese team- okay talent but full speed and all heart. Ironically, the country who has the battle cry "PUSO(heart)", lost some heart and mind through the years. Japan deserved to be the top team in Asia. They may not be the tallest, nor the most talented but they have the best discipline among Asian countries, which made them adapt with the fastest rate. Congratulations Japan!
Of course, Aways gotta bring Philippines in every basketball related video. GTFOH.
Alapag - Castro - Tenorio are the kawamura and togashi in that era… we don’t have those guards right now
As a filipino..Japan is better than Gilas(tiktokers)! Well deserved!
0:48 That looks EXHAUSTING, the game is just so taxing for short guys.
hachimura NEEDS to play in the olympics, with him the starting 5 is actually very formidable
Japan showed REAL PUSO. props for them to achieve a spot for Paris Olympics without Hachimura
Happy for Japan!!!
Speed coupled with the streak shooting of 3s is a loaded weapon.
Very soon, Japan vs. the Philippines (Head-to-Head 74% vs. 83%, since 2009). Exciting matchup!
Historically, the Philippines is winning better versus Japan. But, let us wait and see.
and it's so exciting too!
Japan squad got mad game!
Akashi Seijuro - Kawamura Yuki
Home court advantage was crucial.
Absolutely. Their energy was on 120%
no rui hachimura tho
That makes it even more impressive!
@@AugustasSuliauskas fr!!!
I bet Rui swinging at the air right now😂
It was sort of ignored that Tavares was Euroleague Final 4 MVP and all-Euroleague first team and then loses to Japan. If the NBA and Euroleague are close to equal that is the equivalent of Jokic playing. Funny how that hardly got any press or discussion
Kawanura NBA is in your future. ⭐🌟✨
The slamdunk movie boost them up just like blue lock on fifa world cup
Without Rui Hachimura
That makes it even more impressive!
1:05 Im already impressed AF, they hustle so much!!! But they have to, they're at disadvantage, like fist fighting a chimp or bear. What's interesting is that japan is REEEEALLY strong at volleyball and it's at the top for a long so their lack of influence on basketball might be more of a lack of culture (vball is much less physical, i know, but i feel the fact you cant bother your opponent when they block or spike make it worse than bball in a way, you can just watch and count on timing)
Gilas left the Group😢😢
Let's hope the next 4 years will have changes for the better.
Umusad na ang japan, yong gilas asan na SBP? Malakas yong mga players natin this world cup but yong coach lang talaga, sana ibalik na si coach Tab.
Current Japan team is the tail end of the Slam Dunk generation.
The Philippines used to have that kind of "heart", as they call us "puso!", which means heart. But now, Japan definitely had that heart!
i wish philippines learns something from japan.
They finally got rid of Reyes. That's a start.
i think japan B League was help for development Players to improve the Games"
Unlike the Philippines that banked on their status as hosts to enter the World Cup in the 1st place.
i can see MR. Alapag in him, from Phil team
Japanese are hardworking people ,in whatever they do! Banzai 🙌🎉🎉🎉💝
#30 release like Jeff Chan 👀
You said that two players helped their winning, but only mentioned Kimawura. Not complaining, just a writing mistake.

At the time, Ireland was ranked 2nd in the world.
Japan, the king of upsets
When it comes to Baseball, Japan is number one in the world rankings, has won every international tournament, and has won the WBC three times, so it's no surprise that they beat the USA to win the championship.
@@Hiryu23 Last time Japan won a WBC, Ichiro was still playing. They had not won in a decade. Japan were the underdogs, with only one MLB bat and two MLB pitchers, almost entirely an NPB team with most Major Leaguers not playing. Money would have been on a US team featuring Trout, Turner, Mookie, Goldschmidt et al. They did have arguably the best Baseball player of all time in Ohtani, but one player doesn't win Baseball games most of the time (Look at LAA).
@@TheTruth-xp2of Japan won the 2019 Premier12 and the Tokyo Olympics, and although they did not win the WBC in 2013 and 2017, they came in 3rd place. Only Japan holds all the WBC, Premier12 and Olympic titles.
Japan is the only country to have achieved 3rd place or higher in all WBC tournaments.
Amazing team work, dedication and heart and impressive three point shooting. Love Japan.❤
Japan is talented but it is their home court in Okinawa arena, Japan so refs are bias hahaha!
🌏🏀🗽
Heijima?
Japan’s basketball IQ is level 99
More like mind over matter. Like, cmon, it's obvious, they didnt win wishful thinking but by using their heads and doing everything possible. Impressive video, curiously foreign games always look slower and less athletic.
🇯🇵ほ❤
is Caucasian geezer Japanese
Gak ada apanya sama Bolden. Bi aje
youre saying #Puso?
It's striking how the narrative seemed to dictate that Japan must win against Cape Verde at any cost. Throughout the game, it became increasingly evident that the referees were consistently making calls against Cape Verde. The frequency and apparent bias of these decisions were even alarming. Fair play and sportsmanship should always be at the forefront in any competition, and it's essential for the integrity of the game that officials maintain impartiality. Fair and unbiased officiating is essential to ensure that the game is played on a level playing field, regardless of the teams involved. African teams deserve the same fair treatment as any other team in international competitions...#FairPlay #Sportsmanship
We need to talk about the refereeing.
agree throughout the entire game.
They made history because the referee help em
Where did you think the refs helped them?
The loser will probably feel that way, but let's praise both teams
love japan❤
king of asia ❤❤❤
what a icon 🤦♂️
True Japan is awesome and best country in Asia.❤ Also beautiful icon.
japan is inspired by SlamDunk. IYKYK
