  • Successful Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) developments often involve a complex capital stack, operating subsidies, annual services funding, an experienced development team, public/public private partnerships, planning successful long-term operations for special needs residents - and now, obstacles to construction because of pandemic.
The UCLA Ziman Center for Real estate invited Robert Wasserman (MBA/J.D. ’98) to moderate an in-depth discussion with experts Reagan Maechling of Enterprise Housing Credit Investments, Matt Mason of West Hollywood Community Housing Corp. and Ann Sewill of the City of Los Angeles Housing + Community Investment Department. The panel examined a case study affordable housing development currently under construction in Los Angeles and explored what it takes to put all the pieces together to make an affordable housing development deal work.
The UCLA Ziman Center for Real Estate’s UCLA Distinguished Speaker Series in Affordable Housing brings leading industry experts and scholars to engage UCLA Anderson students and community members in the critical issues related to urban housing markets and housing policy and sustainability, particularly the housing needs and outcomes of low-income and workforce households. Leading business practitioners and policymakers are invited to Fireside Chats to discuss the current trends in affordable housing development and preservation in Southern California.

If you can't afford a house then you don't deserve one. You aren't entitled to anything.

What is your point? Are you saying everyone can be a world class athlete/artist? There is many different paths to create wealth, and by your language I'm guessing you're not on any of them.
