just return it, don’t open the box and if u already did make sure u don’t rip it and it u did than put everything u got (cables and manuals etc) and go back to where u got it or send it back
Honestly it's so subtle. I can pretty much only tell a difference with headphones on. There is a slight difference in background noise picked up from the room and the blue yeti x has a more mid-focused sound to me. Otherwise the other 3 are almost the same.
I used beyerdynamic dt770pro studio headphones with a scarlett solo 2nd gen interface and usually I would carefully say I have pretty good ears but honestly I also dont really hear a significant difference. Yes the yeti is a little darker if you like and the seiren sounds a little bit broader but I dont think this is an advantage or disadvantage. I would say it comes down to personal preference in this case if at all
For anyone wondering, The actual mic itself has not changed. Only difference between original and the S model is the RGB lights for an extra $50. I have the old one, have had it for a year. Love the mic, but damn the rgb is pretty sick

I think the firmware changed too? There’s software you can use with HyperX ngnuity to manage the background noise. The comment on the other video I watched about this had comments from the users of the original quad cast that had it be incompatible with the new software and had no firmware updates. I’m just parroting what others have said, I have no mic yet, that’s why I’m watching product reviews like this.
I bought the red version a few weeks back. Just returned it and bought the S. The price I ended up with on the original was much higher than the current price of the S anyway, so it was worth the return. It's a good mic, and with a bit of EQ it sounds amazing, good and bassy.
I purchased my Quadcast a few months ago but that will not stop me from purchasing this one as well. Unfortunately I have no red in my build, it's all white / black. So being able to go with a white mic will be a massive plus. I'm glad someone got their hands on it and did an in depth review of it already.

This microphone is absolutely beautiful. I loved the sound of it, but I didn't like the overall red design, I knew they'd come with an RGB version, I looked for it by typing hyperx quadcast rgb, and found out it's now here ! I'm so happy ! I'll buy it soon. :D

Ngenuity is not available for mac , so if you bought it like I just did and realize you cant change the colors because the app dont work .......weak af
If they ever sell the red webbing with a shock mount as an extra I will definitely take it out and put it on my hyperx quadcast s if I get one I definitely prefer the red over the gray and the usb-c is definitely an advantage over the USB mini and I'll definitely just make it red because that's my favorite color so it's just a hyperx quadcast but with a usb-c connection then it will be my perfect new daily driver microphone in every way

Ordered and sent it back after 2h of trouble shooting USB Audio Device Errors (tested on 2 PCs) - Amazon confirmed it to be a known issue that customers had - I liked the look of it (way bigger in real life than it looks in videos) but honestly when I saw the software and NO DRIVER support from the website… I knew that I don‘t even want to spend time trying it with a replacement - Sent it back and replaced it with an MV7…. hope Hyper X can improve their USB driver issues…
The Quadcast is a good mic, but HyperX should make a software just like Blue did it! I have my Quadcast for almost a year, and if I have to pick a mic, probably won't be the Quadcast, I'll choose the Elgato Wave because of the software that is included in the package
Was able to get this mic yesterday on sale for black Friday for 115 the saleing point for me was the ability to use it for my ps4 as well tho I agree the best feature is its tab to mute
It has conflict with RGB Fusion which makes the HyperX Ngenuity program not recognize the microphone to enter to change the color and deal with the settings.

I have the red one and the RGB one. Ended up selling the RGB one because the RGB lumens felt so damn low. You might be thinking oh it must be brighter in person. Just a heads up. It’s not. I ended up falling for that. The worst part is that this mic really needed RGB. They knew it and added it. But the RGB felt more like novelty than other non-mic RGB products. It’s just way too dim.
while an older video it was open and neutral most reviewers just jump on the bad of something and just try to say its inferior when compared to a $300-$400 mic. the main differences i noticed with The Blue Yeti X and Razer Sieren Emote is that he treble tone comes through much sharper while the quadcasts didnt have much treble at all. The Quadcast S I just ordered and from the sounds of it adding Foam around the room doesnt seem viable at this point given how clear the audio sounds right there which is good considering my set up really cant utilize foam mats. The C type port is a nice touch allowing for easier plug and use, yeah its another USB port on my rig thats being used but i honestly dont care I got the USB ports to spare (12 {2 - 2.0, 10 - 3.0}) plus i have a C port on my mobo so direct connection is gonna sound clean

3:56 honedtly all about the same I think the Huper X sounds better but thays just the inbuilt popfilter because it seems more uniform in sounds dedpite what word is said but on the others the pops and sharper s sounds are a bit more prominent but slapping a pop screen or filter on/infront of the others would solve that issue
where I live the new one costs about 53 euro more than the original but the only real difference between the two I could find is that it now has RBG, white strings instead of red and USB type C (which doesn't really add any functionality because it's a product you will will leave plugged in anyway) So I'd say it's not worth it at all. The old one is still good.

I dont see why so many people are upset they got the original. I dont see why RGB and a Type C connecter would make or break this mic. And this is coming from a guy whos entire desk is powered by 2 Corsair commander nodes RGB. I love the red harness cord and light. Its perfect for that late night dark room gaming. especially with the pop filter I put on it dims it out. All I like it for is an indication that the mic is on or off. I guess I get if youre one of those EVERYTHING MUST BE MATCHING pc guys aight, well go ahead. IMO Theyll have to do better hardware upgrade wise for me to switch. And I can easily return mine on Amazon right now. Bottom line dont get caught up if you have the original guys. its not the end of the world.

Not just RGB, the S version can use software tweaks and upcoming firmware for the mic.

the only difference in sound are that the last 2 mics which are the Blue Yette x and the Razer Siren Enote. the both have a little bit more base.

Hey @9to5toys so im still thinking of 2 mics to buy and I like the HyperX Quadcast S and the Elgato Wave: 3 very much of what I’ve heard and seen so far, even tho hyperx got bad recommendations sometimes I think it absolutely not a bad shot. Can you help me out here a bit maybe wich one would be a better pick when it comes to talking and gaming ( in my case having background noise in the mic isn’t a problem for me )

So the HyperX Quadcast came out in later summer 2019.... the HyperX Quadcast S came out also in mid to late summer 2020... do you think there will be a next-generation during 2021 or not?
Serious question. Im picking a mic up later today. In your opinion is the hyper x quadcast s better then the Roccat torch? Is it really worth the extra $50

I noticed that high pitch sounds are very sharp on this mic... Don't know if you can change that through setting but yeah
You can use voicemeeter if you want to change that

Yes, you just have to save the settings to the mic in the app and you'll be good to go
im planning on getting the rgb version because my headset mic is alright but i dont likeplugging it in and unplugging it

imma say the Original Quadcast was *better* than the Quadcast S because im pissed, i bought the mic 2 months ago.
I’m about to buy this but I have just one question the cable you get in the box that’s 3 meters one end plugs into the mic and the other end which is the USB where would you plug that on the back of your pc or the top of your pc?
So its the same mic exept the rgb lighting and the usb c port?
