30 Jan/2023 - in last few days this model "popped up on my model radar screen". As always keen to see what I could find out about it. YOUR Name & reference to a V/log review, by you, presented itself. S0, the model - [1] - sprues, wow, clean, with minimal extra plastic to cut off/tidy up, clean; [2] - extras unheard of/but nice, [3] - Plan - the best yet/ clear/concise. A lot of work went into planning & production of - this extra attention to detail leads to me to wonder if all other current model makers (Meng, Trumpeter, Hobby Boss plus) will step up. Sadly I do not see Tamiya being able to do this. It will be interesting to see what else Sabre Model "bring to the sales table".
I have built all the Sabre railcars. Excellent models, fun to build, great directions and great value for the price. They offer bonus packages with some of the rail cars as well.
Hi Andy that looks to be a great little kit, I hope to see you building sometime soon, all the very best wishes to you and your family for the upcoming holiday season and a safe and Happy New Year, best regards from Australia.
The JLTV was an interesting vehicle I had the opportunity of operating in 2010. While more mobile and versatile than an RG-33 or a Maxxpro, the Aluminum based armor did leave a little bit to be desired... Definitely looking forward to building one of these though!
@@muammargaddafi2740 so true, also the armor comes in two different packages A-Kit/B-kit that are fitted to the vehicle on an as needed basis in the field and it ain't aluminum armor. So i guess it was kinda hard for Timothy to operate one in 2010 even before the contract was awarded. My son in law was involved in the USARMY testing of the vehicles.
Hi. Great review. Do you also review conversion kits? I have a webshop opened in designed 3D printed parts. I am Dutch but somehow 40% of my costumers are Canadian. If you like, I like to show off my products and we can see how I can get some sets on the show. Would be nice! Thanks Sylvain (SyllysMiniModels)
Happy New Year Andy. I've been following you for a while and really like your channel. I suffer from the after-effects of some serious spinal injuries which means I have severe tremors in my left hand and minor tremors in my right. This means my model making is really hit and miss, and I will never get great results. Regardless I love this hobby. Thank you for helping make it accessible to guys like me.
it needs the back locker box in the back like I love kit done and RFM done very well with the canvas for all the electrics for the computer systems and turret its an external power source fitted to these JLTVs they don't have much space in the back for anything really let alone a pallet! I've got the kit it is nice but the rear box will need scratched up and a canvas! Hopefully RFM see all the others are lacking this feature and bring out a separate electrics box and canvas for them! Also wish they all came with the choice of turrets as the high top seems to be getting changed for the canvas low top type! I love kit has more on the interior you would need to buy 2 kits to get 1 good version with everything needed! All them extras are good to get but pointless if the kit itself isn't right!
I hope this style of kits becomes mainstream because in our day and age paying for shipping fees is painful and time wasting when shopping individually for all aftermarket parts for your project, with possibility to order from multiple websites in multiple countries. With this type of offerings you pay shipping only once for kit and parts, and get everything available to right away to start building!
@@Bilbirk62 Many advanced modelers won't start a project unless all necessary replacements are secured (like metal barrels or PE grills), this kit is a pioneer and a competition creator in that field! I understand not wanting to have all extra stuff as they have their downsides ..maybe with and without versions can be issued which solves the situation!.
They have done more armour than this they Used to be the company 16.02 who done the flak n loads other ww2 armour they changed their name to sabre models and released the ww2 German Hanomag tractor as the first kit under the new name! It's a lovely kit I used it to tow Takoms full interior V1 Doddle Bug
Andy's HHQ drinking game, whenever Andy says the word Slidemold take a shot. Im 4:19 mins into the video and im soopo djrjúnkkkk,,,...
Hilarious
Sweet kit!
@9:30 "beer" what a lofty thought 🤣
After the water bottles on the dash holder, I passed out. No, seriously it looks like a great kit for this long winter. My magnify glass runneth over.
Well something modern looking great.
My kit arrived this week!
Oh wow, that is a GREAT looking kit!!!!!! 😍👍
Já comprei o meu e estou ansioso à espera que chegue no Brasil. I already bought mine and I'm anxiously waiting for it to arrive in Brazil.
Nice looking kit Andy could we possibly see a buildup of it in the future?
A great idea including so many extras, good for this kit or adding to any project

2:20 - looks like the headlights on sprue A are also slide-moulded
This is the most holy cow kit ive seen in awhile! Sabre has entered the game! Will buy this one for sure!

Do you by chance mean the M-ATV, since the JLTV wasn't even ordered by the DOD until 2016?

Would be interested in seeing this compared to the Ryefield Models version.
Besides the Premium kit ($45.99) there is also a Deluxe kit ($58.99) with an extra 3D printed sagged wheel set .
Prices from Saber website.
Order placed!

Nice review, shame that the kit does not have radios! (?) & there are only 4 resin tyres not 5!?
Adding this to the stash list right away - thanks for shairng
Nice, robust looking kit. The detail really pops out. Would be fun to weather
Very nice kit!
Very useful presentation, as usual! 😁
Now I'm keen on the video you'll build it!
Greetz from Tenerife!
Wow that bonus pack is insane 😍
I have this kit it's a great deal. I believe none of the JLTV kits have engines yet though.
Is there any news as to when this kit is going to be delivered to your store?
Looks like a good kit Andy
That's the Humvee replacement, isn't it.. That'd go great with the M1A2 I'm about to start building!
Any idea when the new RFM Tiger I Late with zimmerit will be arriving?
Looks fantastic,, but it’s got no radio! 😕
Sabre is bringing the heat!

Right at $50 on Ebay right now. Shipped.
Any word on the Gecko 1/16 Pz II I saw on MBK recently?
Looks like a top notch kit, with plenty of upgrades!
I agree!
9 builds!?!?!?! Wow

The company I work for makes the real pallets that the Saber die cut pallet is based on.
New tool armor kits should be of very good quality...since a couple of them cost as much as a car payment. 😛
Do you have any Vulcan products? We’re looking for the Vickers Mk. VI either B or C. Thanks
Awesome mate! 👍🇳🇿
Any chance of shipping to the Philippines from your European warehouse? A retired ex-pat asking.

I hope it doesn't because I don't need all the extra stuff. If I want the extras then I should be able to order it.

If I’m buying a kit I want everything I need. Not a slimmed down version. That’s what Airfix and Monogram are for.

Finally! Something without awful tracks!!
Will there be a kit without the extra stuff? I don't need the stuff and it would only end up in the trash.
So far there is none. There are only 2 editions and that is the Premium and the Deluxe.
Just a comment for the algorithm
