Korean Overwatch players use word '송희롱(songhuirong)' which is compound word of 송(Song, first name of D.Va(Hana Song)) and 희롱(Huirong, taunt or ridicule or haress). This is also a play of word as this pronounced similar with 성희롱(seonghuirong), which mean sexual haress. As this word can be controversial, we also use word (송하나)키우기(Raising Hana Song) and 사인회(sainhoe, signing event)
I remember once in Fitzyhere’s game, a Brig was assigned to stagger baby D.Va on Numbani last point. Then she suddenly called mech and it booped the Brig off the map. They lost the point lmao
You forgot to mention a big reason that d.va is the most common hero to stagger. When she is de-meched she cant gain any ult charge by shooting the enemy, only gaining her re-mech charge.
Little funny moment. Our team was feeling so much good vibes in a comp match that when the diva was upset she was bullied by being staggered, we all went down the cliff with her just to make it less rage inducing
Some good stagger do's and don'ts: - In koth, DO stay on point and fight as long as you have control of the objective. Any time spent while your percentage goes up, is a win for your team regardless of the stagger time afterwards which will be n/a. Contrary, if the enemy team has control of the objective, you should focus on resetting as quickly as possible since their percentage goes up regardless of what you do. - If you can safely retreat after a lost fight, do that. But only if you aren't at risk of feeding the enemy extra ult charge. If you are a 600hp roadhog who can get away with help of self heal etc, you are better off committing suicide if possible, as all you really do is give the enemy a greater ult advantage for the next fight - even if you do manage to get away. This also applies to a situation where you know the fight is lost regardless of what you do. Don't spend any time on self heals etc, because it will only feed enemy ults even further. Just accept the inevitable death instead of spending your resources to give the enemy an advantage. - If you are mini dva and are staggered behind enemy team (like in the situation shown in the last clip), if you can't make it back to the objective and cant suicide, just stay alive behind enemy lines and wait for your team to push. Then focus on getting your mech back while the enemy is preoccupied with fighting the rest of your team. In most situations this is better than trying to get back on the objective just to be booped off again and again and eventually killed as a result after 15-20 seconds of staggering + the 10 second respawn. - On 2cp maps 2nd point, if you see allies die (either an important hero like a tank or healer), just stop the push and reset. You need a solid team push to even consider taking the 2nd point on any map, and people who stay committed to a fight - even for 5-10 seconds, will increase the risk of further staggering and wasting time exponentially. In many cases, teams end up sacrificing one of their pushes simply because they waste too much time with poor decision-making regarding whether to commit to a fight or not. So in other words, acting decisively is extremely important here. There is no room for confusion or sluggish evaluation of the situation. - Finally, in situations where you want to commit suicide off the map, make sure that the last event that happened before your death was your own action. This to the game indicates that you committed suicide. If you don't, then the last enemy player interaction will take credit for your death. An example could be that you jump off the map, but someone on the enemy team shoots you as you fall. Maybe just a few points of damage, but they still get credit for the elim and as a result your entire health pool goes towards building their ult - because the game sees their action to be the event that caused your death. Alternatively, if an enemy shoots you and you just walk off the map, then the last action taken was them shooting you, so they still get the elim. However, if you actively jump off the map after they shot you, then your jump indicates a new action that is not related to the enemy, thus they don't get any kill recognition.

I have actually wondered why I kept losing. This helped a ton. I’ll try to use this whenever I play any team game ever. It could probably be useful in games like league as well.
baby dva is the best for staggering because she can only charge her call mech ult, not her self destruct. which means you get support ults for free and they get nothing. not just 'cause she's ez to bully.
I love playing in the mid-ranks, where the players know enough to try stagerring you, but still suck enough to easily die to baby DVA. I have never been staggered as a DVA successfully. As a full-size tank (or while still in mech), I have been staggered quite easily through the use of easily-hit hooks, sleep darts and boops, but at my rank, typically no accuracy-based CC hits baby DVA, leaving Lucio boops as the only option, and as I said, I can easily kill Lucios at my rank with baby blaster

How far we have gone from the entire team suicide at the same time when spawn timer reaches 0 second in order to all spawn in at the same time in RTCW to torture tiny people for fun in OW.
Funny how I've been playing the game for a week now and the times my enemies tried to stagger me they gave me enough space to take cover and use that full auto pistol to get headshots on them and get my mech back behind cover and retreat.
You forgot to mention that baby D.Va is staggered a lot as well since she does not gain regular ult charge while in mech and thus keeping her alive denies enemy ult. As well she has no abilities and thus has no threat other then her blaster which is really easy to deny value from. She can't use her ult until she re-mechs if she even had it and so she is literally the least threatening thing in the game. Hell even if she re-mechs you can generally immediately de-mech her as your entire team will have her surrounded and re-mech keeps her in one spot with no abilities for 2 seconds. Basically baby D.Va just call to be brutally staggered.
I keep telling my team after the enemy caps point to stop running in one by one getting picked off. It is so annoying when this Happens in High Platinum Ranked.
Actually you could just leave the match and rejoin, depending on how good your WiFi and where your game is installed you can rejoin faster than getting staggered that bad.
I wish they'd rework D.Va's passive... As a D.Va main it's really the only part of her kit which I hate. Even without an organized comp purposely staggering her, the times when I've actually managed to be ignored long enough in a fight to re-mech is phenomenally low. It might as well just read "D.Va's respawn timer in increased by however long it takes for enemies to finish you off." .... Not to mention the multiple times I've actually died only to see a bright yellow light and the words "REVIVING!" fill my screen and I internally scream "NonononoNOOO!"... and then immediately die again and waste Mercy's cooldown because D.Va doesn't get her mech back when Mercy revives her... I dunno... Ether make re-meching more reliable, make her stronger in Baby-D.Va mode with a mobility skill, or maybe even make the de-mech optional with a suicide button Baby-D.Va can use. (Doesn't actually have to be a 'suicide' button... Thematically, maybe a personal Teleporter which warps her away and 10 seconds later takes her back to spawn with a mech...)
Unless you know she has her ult you should probably kill her. Mercy shooting people charges her ult faster than healing so you end up sorting of helping her in the long run. With baby dva even if she gets her mech back you can just farm it and demech her again. She gains literally no value from shooting the enemy team since in most cases she won't kill anyone by herself.
I remember way back in platinum, we almost won the game until someone said “lets stagger the roadhog”. We literally lost because of that quote
