Can we use Gesso instead of POP Or Wall Putty on cardboard to make it strong.

Yes you can use gesso. But using gesso for your art projects can indeed be costly, especially with the need for thicker layers on both sides with edges for durability. Adding talcum powder might reduce the cost slightly, but it still won't make a significant difference.
If you are using MDF board then go ahead with gesso.

Mam ek help chahiye.... Maine ek badi 54/60 ki lippan art banaayi hai ... Pehli baar banaayi haai. Main 3.3 mm ka board use kiya hai.... Itni thickness sustainabale rahegi ya Kya kisi tarah mdf board ki thickness badhayi ja sakti haai??... Y

Koi problem nahi h aap ise aaram se hang kre.
Fir bhi Agar aapko koi bhi problem aaye to iske back side par same ek board fevicol se paste kr sakte h vo nahi lena chahte to pop/wall putty paste laga sakte h. Board strong ho jayega.

Yes, You can use wall putty to harden the base, make sure add the fevicol in it. I use POP because it dries quickly.
