Kokoriba Game Reserve - Camping in the bush!

We spent 3 nights at Kokoriba Game Reserve over the August long weekend in 2024, this was our trip #28 since we bought our first caravan. The resort is located about 100km from Johannesburg (Randburd) with easy access. We went via R511 for most of the time and despite some potholes here and there the road is in good condition overall.
On the resorted we had 3 sites: 5, 6 and 92, being 5 and 6 private ablution. The private ablution is really good, one of the best I have seen so far. For private ablution, the recommended ones are units 10 and 11 as they offer lots of shade and lots of space. For common ablution, the recommended site is 85 which is paved and right in front of the ablution block.
For big groups, look for sites 100, 93, 95, 97 and so on as they offer lots of space and privacy.
The resort offers a lot to entertain the children and they also have a restaurant and a shop onsite.
The ground was very hard at the time we camped so it was very difficult to hammer the pegs. Luckily we had some screens that could be used instead.
On the negative site, it is very dirty everywhere, so be prepared for that. The only piece of green grass you will ever see there will be around the pool area. Everywhere else is gravel which personally annoyed me as everything got dirty and had to be thoroughly cleaned when we got back home.
