@@Angler216 Sometimes there's something to be said about the craftsmanship of the old reels and using them to catch fish, don't need the latest graphite/carbon reels. I have older abu ambassador though not as old as yours and they still work great. Love the old Daiwas too
hey buddy I fish the kern river a lot and I have yet to find the acces points to reach the south fork usually fish around Johnsondale bridge and bellow any help would be much appreciated
You can access to south fork kern via sherman pass road at Johnsondale bridge, but best and fastest way is via 9 miles canyon road from hwy 395. To Kennedy Meadow this is easiest way to.

What part of Kennedy meadows? I’m headed there this weekend and looking to hit the spots you found in your video.

That’s a heavy set up for trout. Lighten it up a bit for more strikes and fun.
