So, as a Nets fan who has watched Thomas is whole career. The reason why Thomas got benched is because the Nets operate on Nepotism, Cam Thomas could be prime Michael Jordan, and he would still get benched because the Nets don't care about winning games, they care about making their "guys" happy. Joe Harris and Seth Curry were friendly with the coaching staff and that's why they got minutes over Thomas. Vaughn would use excuses like "Cam needs to play defense" yet Joe Harris & Seth Curry are the worst defenders in the NBA. Honestly, I expect Cam to get traded by next season and I fully expect him to blossom into an All-NBA level player on another team.
Load management, you're awesome and informative. I never knew this guy was summer league MVP, Alex is but honest for saying "suspect coach" wait, 40 of the bench? He beat Allen Iverson's record. DAMN, Cam is dope. Great great work Alex
Alexander is da man. Chicago Illinois rocks with Alexanders Load Management. His work is phenomenal, spot on and poignant. We need a voice like his in these changing times. God bless Alexander, (you 👇🏾) and all the subscribers too 🙏
People who love to hype up Cam Thomas over those 40 point games clearly haven't watched him for an extended period of time. He's a blackhole offensively and one of the worst defensively. He's the dude who watched highlights of Kobe Bryant doing dumb basketball stuff and went "Yep, this is it, this is what I will model my game after".
I agree there is improvements to be made, but it seems like people love Cam and thing he's amazing, or hate him/think he's useless, I stand somewhere in the middle
This dude got benched 3 times by two different coaching staff, and your conclusion was that 'Steve Nashington' was dumb? Did you even watch the games? Guy could not cover at all, he got hunted on the pick and roll by bench players.
@@LoadManagementMedia his problem is that he just has no clue on defending the pick and roll. It's not that he's physically unable (i.e., Curry and Harris, one of whom have also dropped off a cliff when it comes to getting played), but it's that he has a complete lack of understanding where he's supposed to be. Check out how often he gets caught ball watching or running into his own team mate on the pick and roll. He's out there trying to go through screens when it's very clear the coaches have set a 'switch-everything' scheme, and that's the type of thing that will get you instantly benched. He's a guy that can score, but he completely ruins the defensive scheme, especially against motion offenses and pick and roll/high post initiated offenses. If you watch the game he had against Sacramento, he actually had a very good offensive game, and that kept him in the game for a reasonable amount of time, but was an absolute disaster on the defensive end. He either has a complete unwillingness to listen to the coaches, or he has such low BBIQ he cannot understand simple defensive schemes. He's a promising player that needs development. Most young guys come into the NBA very offensively skilled, but playing team defence in the modern NBA is a hurdle he has to over come.
I don't think he's as bad as you suggest but for sure defensively he needs to improve, that is what will ensure him more time on offense to show what he does best
i think If we just talking about offensive yup, he is lit. maybe those game still lose and other than scoring n offensive for a game maybe he not putting much effort defense or he doesn't pass or rebounded ?that's why still benched i guess? I don't know, just purely my pov...
Like I said, I don't think he's that bad on defense and in other areas, but he's a great scorer, so he should at least be getting a consistent 20 minutes
is he just jacking 3's? if they dont fall, it kills offensive rhythm of the rest of the team.....same with not passing while driving, one man shows stagnate the offensive ball movement, rest of the team cant get in rhythm

I completely agree, he's actually an alright defender, and for damn sure Joe Harris and Seth aren't any better
@@LoadManagementMedia Yeah, his defensive problems are overblown. And his offense more than makes up for his defense.

Glad you like it so much! I would prefer if you called me Alexander though😂, love brother🤝

Preciate you
it was weird... watching those 40 points were crazy... and then he disappeared
It's just the way it goes sometimes, the coach don't rock wit you as much anymore

I never said he was an elite defender, but the guy can score, vaughn was playing seth curry and joe harris, not exactly all league defenders

Its pretty ridiculous hes barely playing. How many stars dont play defense? Luka, kyrie, harden etc. Thomas went crazy for a while!
100%

He isn't just jacking 3's but sometimes his shot selection isn't the greatest
