Where do you want to travel to? For hidden beaches, perfect blue waters, stunning landscapes, luxury accommodations, delicious foods and unique history, you should consider this remote paradise island off the south coast of Vietnam.
Con Dao island is relatively undeveloped compared to mainland Vietnam, and has the very chilled-out vibe of a small town. Con Dao’s main attractions are in the day-time, with a multitude of beautiful beaches to sunbathe on, a lush National Park to hike through, and some cultural and historic sites to visit to learn about Con Dao’s history as a French prison island. There are several luxury accommodations on the island if you want a boujee escape, or for the best of both worlds, you can buy food/drinks there (like us) and enjoy their amenities without the price tag. We stayed at Villa Maison, well-known on the island for its gourmet food, for ~1 million VND/night. Even during COVID time, prices throughout the island were affordable for food, accommodation and attractions.

Con Dao isn’t easily accessible, requiring a short 45 minute biplane flight from Saigon’s Tan Son Nhat airport (~3.5 million VND / $150 return) or a bumpy 3 hour ferry from Vung Tau (~1.5 million VND / $65).

You left out what I thought was the #1 most interesting thing to do in Con Dao which is a trip to the war memorial cemetery at midnight. I highly recommend it. Just be respectful of families when taking pictures or videos

Nice vid again! Not Con Dao related, but if you love watching planes close up, head to one of the "aeroplane cafes" at the northern end of Tan Son Nhat Airport. Tons of fun!

It seems like traveling by motorbike is the best way to travel all around Vietnam. The island looks like a wonderful retreat and I like the way you delivered this with a top 10 list.

Dang! Your way of presenting everything in this video is so professional. Yes, here in Vietnam you can find so many good cafes to have Instagram-able pictures. Those in Con Dao are beautiful too. And you're right, here in Vietnam it's the best option to explore by motorbikes.

Great video. You should check out the beach in Sint Marteen in the Caribbean. The planes really come in so close to the people on the beach.
I may have seen that one already, where people are literally getting blown over on the beach?! I'll check it out. luckily only small biplanes can land on this runway 😆

I've heard both ScubaDiving and Free Diving are good in Con Dao Island. Any advice?
I can def believe that's true but I don't have any personal experience with diving I'm afraid. Search some facebook groups or reviews for reputable diving centres would be a good start
