i think the Hermitcraft UA-camrs did a really good job with this. they're thumbnails are somewhat Mr.Beastified, but they're not too extreme. they also take their time to get into their videos, and they make jokes which people of most demographics could understand (the aha joke from Last Life and the -ad bois joke from Limited Life are good example), so if youtube was still alive decades from now, people would still find them funny. Also, they're just making content because they want to, not because of fame. HC feels like a fun vlog of 20-something people just having fun together.
I absolutely Agree, Hermitcraft and the Life Series are basically the only saving grace of modern Minecraft Content to me. Hermitcraft has stayed mostly true to its roots of ''Bunch of friends messing about in a Minecraft server, being collaborative and having fun.'' Sure, the concept has advanced and adapted over time, but it has NEVER become the victim of the abysmal Mr.Beast assimilation that most of Minecraft content has. There's a very good reason why they're thriving upon the competitive, capitalistic dumpsterfire nature that Minecraft content creation has become.
I like hermitcraft and life series because most of the time they are pretty chill and not flashy Minecraft content. They also keep PG most of the time so it even better.
I really enjoy watching these guys for a reason, they've stayed true to themselves even as both the Minecraft *and* UA-cam community evolved. They never cared about the algorithm, they just wanted to hang out, mess around and have fun.
I love that you mentioned flowstate, been watching him recently & you can automatically tell its unique content. Don't copy - be unique, I only made it to 1 million subscribers when I decided to do things differently & bring something new to the table.
It was always been like this even before Technoblade death. I can’t pinpoint when it first started, but I do know it was before his death. Regardless of the outcomes Minecraft content would have still changed. Techno was just one of the fewer UA-camr’s that didn’t change their editing style

Good video. I'm probably not the only one who is getting annoyed at other UA-camrs who try to appease the so-called """algorithm gods.""" We do not make videos for algorithms. We make them for people. Also, an ironic thing about people telling me to use clickbait titles is that these days, using a clickbait title only makes the video blend in with the rest of the videos lmao.
I still feel weird when a famous UA-camr actually makes good content, even tho I only watch UA-camrs with content (and I don’t have TikTok). Thanks for sticking to the good old yt style Now where is divine journey episode 2? I need it
I feel like there are a lot of smaller content creators, who have ideas that are completely different to the norm that people will love. I just think (myself included) need time to hone out craft to make something great, but I definitely believe that once that idea or craft has been perfected it will blow up its just a matter of time.
Its a MUCH harder problem to solve than you might think It is _not_ MrBeast’s fault, it is the fault of the many creators willing to trade their artistic character and personality for a proven method of growth. It is also the fault of the algorithm for being designed without a perfect measurement for audience satisfaction. Watch time is not the best representation of satisfaction, but unfortunately, it is the best the UA-cam team could find as of now. BUT the algorithm isn’t the god of views as many people believe. It only promotes good videos, and they measure that by watch time, ctr, etc. SO, it is also our fault for watching these videos even though we _know_ its bad. (Sorry if grammar is messed up or smthn im tired)
This was a super well edited and put together video, especially for a channel of your size. And it's true, I've found a lot of new minecraft content really boring and repetitive lately, it's the same premise over and over again. I think there is probably going to be a resurgence in popularity of some of the older hermitcraft and etc. youtubers because of the multiple new life series's run by grian. It still is pretty similar to other videos in the sense that it involves players competing in a challenge, but it does so using interesting twists, storylines, pranks, and etc. and it doesn't feel gimmicky at all. To be honest, I think all the Mr Beast style minecraft content is slowly dying out anyway because people are getting bored of it, the same thing is gonna happen to those videos that happened years ago from 2016-2019 when everybody kind of forgot the game even existed for several years because it all got too repetitive
The thing is that every popular right now minecraft theme was invented by someone which no one knew. The power of noname is the fact he can make mistakes. Mrbeast was noname before. But now he and many other people which got success are now stuck in a loop of content and the only way to get out of this loop is to not following it. But the problem is the loop has all the riches and success. But once you leave the loop you can't get it back. Unless you get into another loop.
I personally hate the Mr Beast effect, as it raised the standards and expectations of a "good video" too high. Previously you could become famous by doing random things like doing let's plays, now you are expected to do over the top or almost divine stunts, otherwise you'll be left in the dust by the youtube giants, who have the resources necessary to keep pulling stunts like that regularly
Just a quick note, Hero's Journey is rarely considered a ruleset, it's primarily vague guidelines that is often just used in pieces rather than using it as a story's clear foundation (A New Hope is of course a notable exception that sticks to it very closely)

It feels like no one makes content just to make content anymore. Everything is so over-saturated and Mr-Beastified. I have been doing YT for YEARS and only recently have started doing okay and it's because I've started subtitling my videos and making them fast-paced. Kind of a shame
This kinda thing is why I, as a Minecraft youtuber mainly, have told myself when I started that I would never do that. If I start caring too much about the views I notice it about myself and I tell myself to not worry. Because that wasn't my goal and still isn't. I'm just having fun. I know that "just having fun" isn't enough to get very far with it, but I don't need to. It'd be a nice bonus if I ever make an extra buck from playing games but it's not my goal. And it feels like a lot of these Minecraft youtubers do have that goal in mind. It's like they're just there to get views and make money and in turn lose all their originality and unique personality. I guess i just felt different from each anime i watch, i'm picky when choosing an anime and commiting to it fully
hermitcraft: keeping it real since 2014. No but seriously it’s great. Stressmosters new video is literally titled “ABSOLUTELY NO PROGRESS”. No flashy idea, no big storytelling, no progress on anything. Just a UA-camr hanging out on a server with her friends.
It's good for the creators, by what about the people who watch it, do you think we are just a number in your view count or real people who think and feel things
I don't blame MrBeast for the downfall of Minecraft cantent. He's the original maker of the Minecraft ideas and he got famous for it, and since he's so successful, it makes sense that others will try to copy him in attempts to attain similar success.
IMO it's not MrBeast who's the problem, it's the content creators who are the problem. They are the ones copying each other for money. MrBeast has nothing to do with the "beastification" as I believe MrBeast just makes videos.
I'm definitely doing some anime character analysis in the future, but I probably wouldn't do rants just to shit on other groups of ppl unless there was some way I could incorporate irony into it
Am i the only one who thinks it is sad to use "quotes" of an anime character insted of ones said from a real person in the past.Someone who is a real life hero and not just a drawing with character. I know i am going to get lots of hate for saying this but i think it is really fcked up to do that.

I got an Example. Make a Video about ExplodingTNT and how he carried Minecraft Content even further
Subbed for knowing what carcinisation is, be glad you included that
Jujutsu kaisen? Beserk? Chainsaw man?
Nyanko day?
I don't know, i just felt different when i was watching new anime and i'll alway tries to find the difference between them, so far jjk, chainsaw man, nyanko days are the one that give me the most different thing to observe and enjoy. Highly suggest you watching nyanko day. It make my stomach feel tickles
Also suggest jjk, it make me wanna sing 'specialz' after a tragedy happen
Also chainsaw man? I dunno. I guess i just felt different from each anime i watch, i'm picky when choosing an anime and commiting to it fully
im working on it bro :)
4:55 why is mrwhosetheboss on there? U obviously dont know what u are waffling about
He's a MrBeast clone in his own respective niche, not a Minecraft MrBeast clone
hermitcraft: keeping it real since 2014.
No but seriously it’s great. Stressmosters new video is literally titled “ABSOLUTELY NO PROGRESS”. No flashy idea, no big storytelling, no progress on anything. Just a UA-camr hanging out on a server with her friends.
luke the notable was the start of it and is still the best one after 4 years
It's good for the creators, by what about the people who watch it, do you think we are just a number in your view count or real people who think and feel things
I don't blame MrBeast for the downfall of Minecraft cantent. He's the original maker of the Minecraft ideas and he got famous for it, and since he's so successful, it makes sense that others will try to copy him in attempts to attain similar success.
I do basically the hive and bedwars/skywars for my content now and I try to make original content but my imagination is very small… :/
we chillin with video essays 😎
where's madoka magica video
sorry maybe in a few years, I need to gather a more consistent following before I start making video essays about anime
unique content is simply harder and harder to do with more and more people making that content
You prove the point fast, good explaining, earns a sub!
It all started when avernus got buffed
I think Squiddo is a example of a youtuber that isnt Mr.Beastified
4:55 uhhh, last i checked Mrwhosetheboss is quite different
I don’t know how you don’t have more subscribers, this is amazing
Btw i want to hear your opinion on the bendermc guy, i think he’s great
one of the only actually underrated in the exact meaning of the word in this website
IMO it's not MrBeast who's the problem, it's the content creators who are the problem. They are the ones copying each other for money. MrBeast has nothing to do with the "beastification" as I believe MrBeast just makes videos.
11:41 correct make the vidoes you wanna make not the ones to succses because that might be the key to your succses❤
Mrbeast is just trying to do his own thing yet people blame him on yt getting worse for no reason 💀
Well i mean hey there's still forge labs i would say he's content is pretty unique or distinguishable from others... I think.
U should make anime review or rant videos
I'm definitely doing some anime character analysis in the future, but I probably wouldn't do rants just to shit on other groups of ppl unless there was some way I could incorporate irony into it
@@ChunkyNosher ok great ur channel have mad potential too good luck
It sucks ty for covering it
hanging around just one commmunity in minecraft SMP not DSMP but rather SMPs like third life hermitcraft new life...
I think we just wait people will get sick of the trend
Bro socks @socks is breaking the mrbeast-ification circle
He makes Minecraft video in @socksfor1
you mean this fnaf real life video?
Mr Beast is a good UA-camr but people just wanted a slice of that meat.
These videos are really good. I might do my own channel of this cause I really like this type of content.

key example of this is the youtuber called aphmau.
jimmy still the goat
Wow this is really cool
My skibidi-rizz is also cole
@@rollinontheboardshut up seriously
Am i the only one who thinks it is sad to use "quotes" of an anime character insted of ones said from a real person in the past.Someone who is a real life hero and not just a drawing with character.
I know i am going to get lots of hate for saying this but i think it is really fcked up to do that.
