  • A remix I was asked to do by Simon @ spandangle selection, a rare 93 release called Hard Drive - My melody, that's getting a re-release with new remixes.
    The vinyl will be released early October, along with a 4 track Ruff Jam ep.
    I added my own sounds and melodies from the korg m1 and Roland Juno d to add my own stamp, while keeping the original vibe of the track.
    All produced just like back in the day.
    Audio fades throughout the track, as requested by the label.

      The bottom rack is the alesis 3632 compressor,
      It's connected with a Y audio cable to the insert on channel 1, and the second part of the compressor to channel 2, which are the breaks.
      It can also be connected to the send and return on the desk, with the option to compress any channel.

    The Atari... Back in the days when I just got my 1st PC I wanted to use Atari so bad I downloaded ST emulation program and tried it with Audigy card loaded with sound fonts... Now I use LMMS and I think it's got something of that oldschool hardcore approach... Just bare essentials, no bolloks. Paint your notes and make ruff jungle as it were way back when...Peace.

    I Just bought me a Atari st but how do you use al the hardware while there is only one midi output ?

    • @ruffjamhardcorejungle
      @ruffjamhardcorejungle  2 роки тому

      From the out of the Atari to the in on the sampler, then from thru to the in on the next midi device and thru out to the in of the next device etc etc, the thru is similar to the midi out, it carries the data from each device to others.

    wicked riddim, I really love the authentic nature of your sound, sounds fresh out of '93/94, the era of darkside and then melodic Jungle matched together, a match made in heaven.....great use of the Soul II Soul vocals. You and Pete Cannon are 2 of my favs in making music that sounds like it was done pre-2000s, with all the right ingredients, rawness of sound and nature with fierce driving beats and excellent melodies and breakdowns; some brilliant accomplishment if you ask me! You've got the tools to get the job done and you sure as heck don't disappoint. Strong in the vibe my man!! :D

      Thanks col,
      I really appreciate such nice comments.
      To be mentioned alongside Pete cannon is awesome, as I put him and phineus ii at the top of my favorite modern day producers who still use the old gear.
