I visited the Land of Israel once and I had the overwhelming feeling that I had come home when the plane landed. When the day arrived that I had to return to the States I felt so sad. So far I don’t think I am Jewish but I have a longing to return. I was a Christian but thanks to Rabbi Singer I am now a Noah-Hyde and I am so home sick for the homeland of our Hashem. My prayer is that people will read the Hebrew Tanakh in context and compare it with the Christian Bible.

I have the same longing and I am Jewish. I think that it has nothing to do with who you were born, it has to do with a spiritual longing. Don’t forget that the Tanach never mentions ‘Jews’ they mention the. Nation of Israel which is open to all the righteous people, according to a Kabbalah expert in Israel.

Toda Raba Rav Singer for guiding me out of christianity into noahidism and now to Orthodox Judaism as a Korean-Canadian convert, ger tzedeck, hoping to join Schara Tzedeck Congregation in Vancouver, BC, Canada, when HaShem allows, and eventually to make aliyah and live in Yerushalayim as Eliyahu HaNavi and Moshiach ben David are revealed, the Third Temple built, eternal Shabbat Isaiah 2:4 fulfilled. When I realized I was a Jew, I started to give donations to Rav Singer and help Israeli charities. If King David was PM of Israel now, and was battling out Psalm 83, Ezekiel 38-39, Zechariah 12/14, simultaneously, I would give everything I could to support the brave warriors of Israel, the IDF.

This is completely off topic, and I apologize for the long comment. I used to be a Methodist Christian. I have not fully went to Judaism. When I found out my daughter had disabilities I lost my faith in God, and I was studying to become a Pastor. I challenge God daily and tried to become an Atheist. Jesus I could disapprove. Hashem i couldn’t. As I was going through my UA-cam channels of religious fanatics I came across your page in the hopes of destroying your ideology but yet as I listen to you, I felt influenced by God to listen to you. I continued to listen to your messages for years this comment will go unnoticed but if by any chance u see it, I want to say Thank You and Praise Hashem for leading me to you and reawakening my Spiritual Enlightenment. Is it normal to pray and to just stop and realise that God is so big that it is better to keep quite before Him. I know God said to be still and know that I Am God but is this normal to just keep quite before God as I am sure He knows me and my thoughts better than what I know myself?

That probably has a lot to do with *who* the atheist is talking to and *how* they are acting. How someone treats you has a lot to do with how you're treating them. If Tovia isn't going out of his way to *solicit* negative attention, he's not so likely to get it.

    • @somexp12

@@Oneamongthelegion I don't have any context for these other cases, but (in addition to things varying by personality) there are more ways than one for religious people to be inflammatory, and not every way may be immediately apparent to everyone. For example, some reasonably decent religious people have a tendency to, more or less, "butt-in" whilst an atheist is dealing with the problematic ones. Also, some religious people have a way of saying the most insulting things about nonbelievers but with the most angelic of countenance.
And then there's also just differences in personality.

    • @somexp12
      @somexp12 27 днів тому

@@Oneamongthelegion I wonder if the interview you have in mind is the interview done by that MythVision guy (Derek Lampert)? Since this is Tovia Singer's channel, I imagine that could be what you're thinking of. If so, I'm about 99% sure that's personality. Lampert is a former heroin addict. Having met several, they're often lovely, but can be talkative and impulsive in a way that'd be rude to some people. But that would be a temperament thing more than anything to do with religious belief or lack thereof. He would've still been that way back when he was an Evangelical.

I have enormous respect for the rabbi and his wealth of knowledge. I would not argue the custom of being a refuge in a Jewish family and being considered part of them.
What I see is that in leviticus, the Jews were given instructions as to whom you could enslave. It was the heathens that surrounded them. They were given instructions as how to treat them, how much to punish them and they could be passed down to their sons.
Maybe what the rabbi was talking about was for the jews. But the heathen slaves none of this kind treatment.

I very much respect Rabbi Tovia and his videos. In this case, his interpretation of the Hebrew word AR(U)R being same or similar to A(U)R (light) is interesting.
As he pointed out correctly, the Hebrew word for curse is KLL not ARR. But still, the term ARR is definitely negative. Meaning negative light. We see this word used multiple times in the Torah in conjunction to negative themes.
The passage indeed tells us that Ham "revealed his father's intimate parts", and then told his brothers.
Generally, the bible uses clean language to describe intimate relationships. As seen clearly in similar passages in the Torah of the same context.
So this passage is purposely ambiguous.
The following passage relates that Noah awoke and saw what his youngest son had done to him. Which implies that something was physically done to him.
The Talmud brings two traditions, one , that Hams sin against his father Noah, was that he castrated him (to prevent further reproduction). The other, that he sodomised him.
Another tradition indicates that it was Hams youngest son Canaan who actually did the bad deed, interpreting "his youngest son" as referring to Hams youngest son (at the behest of Ham).
The main theme here is exploiting the vulnerability of the father (who has saved them from the flood) , as a means to dominate and reverse the natural course of authority.

To Paul Sandberg. You said "no one has to keep the Law any more." That doesn't explain why in Acts 15 the Jewish-Christians were debating whether the Gentiles had to keep the Torah (including circumcision). This means those who were Jewish continued to do so (in the year 50 CE). Also, Acts 21:24 has James saying to Paul, "You yourself live in observance of the Law, but as for the Gentiles who have believed...." No indication that Jewish believers stopped observing the Torah.

I love watching the Rabbi's videos, as I was brought up in the Christian tradtion and have gradually come to the insight that Christianity corrupts the Jewish Scriptures. His presentation of those is quite interesting. However; I have also come to the insight that the Jewish Scriptures are not what they are purported to be. An archaeological view on the Jewish Scriptures, as presented by prof Israel Finkelstein, brought me to the insight that the Jewish Scriptures are not divinely inspired, but more of a product of political ideology and religious spin. I love the Jews as a nation however. Their cultural history is also part of my own. I just do not take myths like the creation narrative, the deluge and the exodus literally. In the end of chapter 47 in Ezekiel the prophet writes that the converts will inherit the land with the Jews - among the tribe they have dwelled with. So, basically you get adopted into a tribe. Even though born into people have a tribe identity, they don’t live in tribes at this time. Born and converts are all Israel and that’s what matters at this time. Everything will be restored when Moshiach comes.
