Main issue I see is people don’t make their builds with a playstyle in mind, make a “do it all build” and then complain when they aren’t skilled enough to actually do it all 😂. Gameplay was solid, only thing I wish they had was slightly better moves to create space so people aren’t running meta so commonly

Keeping it a bean. I don't play as much because my homies don't play as much and playing with randoms is soooo toxic! Only problem I got with the game is the pay to win aspect. It's not fun grinding and it's not fun paying either...

@@gabewright6603 they did, there should definitely be a better endorsement system. Compared to previous years though, the grind isn’t super crazy. I forgot the year they showed you how many points you needed to upgrade a badge. That year was brutal. I believe the endorsements should be more difficult to get but you should be able to earn towards them in every mode. Park, Rec, nba games etc. the payout should not be just one payment it should be a signing bonus and added on to your VC after every game.
@@gabewright6603 you tell him I used to be able to grind out the vc needed to max all my players all slots by grinding out endorsements weeklys and simulating NBA games now I can't simulate games because of "goat" moments endorsements are one time things and weeklys only give 3k and sometimes I can't Even do the weekly example my guard with 25 block 25 dunk gets weekly of 25 blocks or 100 dunks like why and how like how are making us make role players and then expect our build to do it all

I’m on the same 6,4 inside-out dining threat. Been a 1 build since 2k16
Almost the same for me, ran my PG build from day 1, made a better overall build as a SG, and I've been ballin out and running with that ever since, only use my PG for extra VC from the street Courts, Bricks gym, and the gym with the hotspots, shit adds up when you're no spend.
I agree that most do not try new animations so it's easy to say those who don't, do not want to adapt. The thing isn't that you don't want to try new animations. It's more so we are limited once you make a build. Who wants to spend $100 - $150 to make a new build that has different attributes just to try new animations. There should be a larger variety of effective dribblen animations, layup packages, dunk packages, shot animations ect... at every tier so we don't only have to choose between a few. Inalways felt animations should be cosmetic and player control of those animations (ie the way you combo them should determine the effectiveness. So should be the same for jumpshot animations and everything else. Then you will see more variety and more/longer replayabilty
There’s a lot of those moves but if you only listen to content creators you would believe there isn’t. I have about 8-9 builds that range from 6’4-6’10 none of my builds use anything meta nd I still can score against most ppl and shoot over 60% from 3. People don’t want to use different animations bc then you’d have to learn the game

It’s because once you see all 2k cares about is stealing your wallet, and added paid “seasons” which aren’t even a full season, it’s hard to see past that and enjoy the gameplay for what it is. It feels terrible losing to people who Pay to Win.

With the 99 build thing the gameplay was flawed in 2k21 next gen which was the first do it all builds. where u got dunked on no matter the persons defense. If you are gonna make us spend 100 dollars on a build make me be overpowered just make defense as overpowered simple. Last thing make dribbling fun again 2k19 and 17 had some of the best dribbling we have ever seen. That’s what I want better dribbling and better defense.

I think the point is they listen to the general pulse but dont figure out the real details, the meat and potatoes of what the people who actually have the pulse. Creators to me are a great source of info on subsets of different types of players and their exact wants and issues.
Agree 100% Brute. The gameplay really good even in early year getting my shooting from 30% to low 60s % on my big. It’s the trash rewards like a floor setter at level 40 that are just pointless. I honestly haven’t even equipped one yet alone even grind to 40 ( with consistent 80-90 win%) because my play style keeps my badges all maxed like the system was designed to. Switched to Xbox and been loving game pass so the lack of incentives drove me away and I live 2k. Best game to play with the fellas.

All they gotta do is bring back the season thing dnt buy season but the old season and instead of mascots at lvl 40 bring bk the extra badges and atleast 50,000 vc. Where as more PPL will be in rec and 50,000 multiply by atleast 10 seasons will give u atleast 500,000 k vc more than enough for a future rebirth build if u spend it right.
i wish they would actually make the top level players play to see whos actually the king of the court, would definitely add some fun elements to the game. If you wanted to be a top ten player for that season prove it in the first weeks, and then they have to play each other to prove if they are the HIM. Then you could add the insanely high level rewards if you win or are in the top 6 each season.....end of they year we get a champion....basically model it like the NBA season

I'm iffy on this. I think shooting too high of a percentage can negatively affect gameplay as well. Just becomes 3pt hunting

For all the stuff the game charges you for, to entice you to play especially for longer durations, you should get rewards. That's like saying nba players shouldn't get awards or production encentives.

2k is a great game today. I hope they keep improving on realistic game play. Yes award the players with boost and Gatorade for playing more games. All that upgrading badges and attributes for playing more games I disagree with. Leaving those unrealistic flips and other corny unrealistic animations after a shot I’m with. The balancing of my player build today is realistic. Steals and defense so far today is realistic. The game today is fine just the way it is

Gameplay was great until the patches came out, only thing I would say is MAYBE if they made all the dribble moves same speed and just make ball handling rating determine how fast you can chain them together you can see more diversity as far as different moves being used. Same thing with jump shots if they made every base start at a A and just made the releases determine if it’s an A+ or a C then you might get more diversity out of jump shots. But all in all I like the gameplay for this 2k it’s just the patches that can kill the gameplay itself

It’s sad that Sports games in general have become so bad. And that’s not the community’s fault. No I know asked for pay to win. Madden, 2k, FIFA, MLB, etc. ALL should be top games every year that are highly rated with as much money as these companies make. It’s unreal

I don't really get the whole rep system argument anymore. They gave us both, season and rep system. Rep has some high powered rewards compared to the cosmetic stuff in the season pass. It feels like we're talking more about 23 than 24. So by that logic, there's a long grind for the rep system but the game is still dieing out. Realistically, I just think people are bored with the overall outlook in the game so I agree with the incentive aspect but it's not about rewards. It's about how the game even looks and functions. I'm not a Park player so I won't touch on that but they have the same Rec. Not in an arena, in a small gym with a few people there. With no commentary, just game sounds. Just jersey changes and palm trees here and there.
Freshen the game up, same with MyCareer. It needs to be more immersive and make people feel like they're apart of some basketball hype. They added pro play as a big feature but outside of accurate jumpshots, has this even made much of an impact with the game? Still the same animations, the same way of playing, the same way people attempt to exploit. Same style city just with a different layout. They need to look towards a fresh approach to the game and advance us, same with Pro Am which is essentially the same from last gen.
the top 10 is a terrible rep system because it only rewards 10 people. so that killed the rep system instantly... if it was the regular rep system of past you would have a point...
@@brutalsim I feel it, that's a fair point. Though in the video you also brought up the idea that people want something no one else can have unless they grind for it. That's where it gets to what you said about people wanting something then not realizing what they have when it's there. They definitely can fine tune it to be better though, it is a 2K twist to the old system instead of just using that. I just know that a lot of friends I ran with aren't running Rec anymore because they're tired of the same factor of it from the arena to the teams you face so the idea of a 2K facelift to these modes appearance wise is fresh on the mind.

People wanted Battle Passes because Epic creates great cosmetics with brand names that are cool. Where are the SPACE JAM Monstar Mascots/Skins? Where are the Looney Tunes Mascots/Skins? Wheres the real creativity? Why isnt the level 40 reward the ability to select any reward/mascot so that I can actually get what I want. I dont want a team ball for every team in the nba. They develop around increasing margins and only get creative if it means it increases the margins. They dont actually work with 2kcreators/creators in general. There should be a polls every week for creators/fans. Not just surveys every month for casuals/hardcore fans alike.
My issue is the small things you attempt to do and get some other animation. Clearly the game trying to make it harder on us. Hate practicing/setting up moves to just lose control of my player
Only certain people were able to obtain certain rep rewards because they had the time to dedicate towards 2K. That percentage of people was probably not even half of a percent of people who played online or 2k in general. They still have good rep rewards (attributes boots, unlocked animations, etc) but SEASON rewards are readily available to anyone who wants to pay for it. I don't see an issue with that. Season rewards don't alter gameplay experience. Rep rewards do. People just want their cake and eat it too.
The issue with that is, what you see within the 2k community because the value was in the uniqueness and rarity of the rewards..Every Season I hear everyone in the 2k community say the rewards are trash when they really aren't, but because everyone knows, they are easily achievable, that's the mindset.. It's like everyone has a trophy whether you win or lose. It then devalues the trophy... it's simple human psychology. We always place value on rare items.. It sounds great to want to give everyone a trophy so no one feels like they're missing out but it also kills the motivation for competition... and the fact that they made the Rep system top ten, I think that was a bad decision for the rep system..
@@brutalsim I agree. I think it's still like that in terms of Rep rewards though. Top 10 is only 10 people out of millions who play 2K, and they get access an even more OP build. But if they take season rewards and put it behind rep, the issue would still be a disconnect on what's a "good" reward between the community and 2K.

I get 2K wants to hear what the community thinks, but they needa get back to the basics and just make the game and not listen to the community. Once they listened to the community, they wanted to please everybody and started things that didn't make sense.
The battle pass for 2k isn’t even bad. Specifically because they give you a free one. Yeah it’s just another thing for them to get money off of but you don’t have to spend money on it. It’s nice for the people who don’t spend all day on the game. They can grind a lvl or 2 a day and hop off and still get some decent rewards for it being free.

Contact dunking does not work. In nba 2k24 Micheal jordan cannot dunk on the shortest player in the game. In nba 2k24 a player with a 99 driving dunk cannot dunk a player with 25 block and 25 interior defense. It's ignored by everyone
Just don't know when it comes to the 2K Community which I've been a part of since day one they do not like to let go of the past don't get me wrong some of the most fun I had was in the past 2K games like 15 and 16 and 17 were some of the best 2K Games but I am all for change and have been enjoying the new games that have been releasing for 2K I've been having fun can you speak for everyone else but I have been enjoying the games this far🤷🏽♂️😁
Playing defense isn’t that hard imo, just press the player when they are behind the 3pt line and step back to bait them on a contest when they are in the key/midrange area. Stay on the side your teammate is on and force the offensive player to go that way. It’s common sense. Of course the latency and lateral movement is trash. But this method works on most players.
I think 2k could be easily fixed with the following small changes.
Get rid of the city and break up my career into game modes. (Pro am 3v3, 5v5, park (1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 5v5) rec (5v5 , no squads) theather, stage (1v1, 3v3) my team.and make all those random match making based on rep or win % in that game mode they can do it in tiers. My career should be separate (solo my career, and my career with friends where you and up to 13 friends can start a my career yall get drafted in the lottery and the only games you play are vs each other.
Rewards should be for the game mode you're playing and every game mode should have it's own level system. This way you can grind whatever game mode and reach level 40 accumulating rewards for that specific game mode.
Level rewards should be cosmetic or have no impact on a players ability to win.
Bring back the long term rep grind. Combinde this with goat points and make it something reachable but only to those who truly grind for it. Have it so players can earn goat points across multiple game modes. This way players who only play one game mode and those who enjoy playing multiple made modes can still grind rep. But scan goat points. Players playing solo my career should not earn the same as players playing 5v5 proam.
Rep rewards should be cool, exclusive and help you win. Ability to respec 1 player, additional attributes. Home court advantage in match making so you get the ball first if you're higher rep or have a higher win %. Emotes that effect the momentum in game. Hof floor setters. Ability to upgrade the ceiling of a badge. unlimited boost and Gatorades.
Affiliations should be eat vs west and be determined by your nba team that drafted you. Each one should have its own perk for home games. Simple ones could be west:jet lagged (when when playing against visiting east team affiliates opposing players get cold easier and you get hot faster. East: mvp chants. Playing well in clutch moments and late close games gets you chants from the crowd that boost your playing stats and decrease the opponents
Seasons should be 4 weeks. Then after the 4 weeks updates to courts and jerseys should be made. For park games should be 4 different courts per season teams when entering matchmaking can vote on which of the 4 to play on. In my career every season can add different jerseys and courts like throwbacks or new courts etc. Seasons should also change rewards these should not be repeated.
Add more player customization. Dragons dogma came out and had an amazing player customizer 2k can take notes
I know this isn't everything or addresses every issue but making a few of these changes will absolutely make a better 2k

@san2kkk if they put a long term rep grind people will play. If the rep rewards and legend rewards are worth it. I like the idea of levels and rep. People should get small rewards for playing and big long term exclusive rewards for grinding to legend like that casuals have something to play for and die hard fans have something to. I use to grind for legend but after 2k22 it's pointless

Most def community game was fine day 1 glitchy yes but the things y’all complained about gave devs the fuel they needed to destroy the game

This game is seriously flawed, especially the quest for the seasons. 200 rec games for 10k vc is outrageous in at 45 rn but 200 is pretty crazy especially when you don’t just play rec. for 3v3 10k quests it doesn’t get any better. On last gen the quests are way more probable to get. I truly hate the devs these dudes gameplay decisions are infuriating.
The communtiy deserves the blame the cheating the complaining i just want a fundamental simulation mlb game none of that unrealistic cheesy moves or animations if these nerds want that make a seperate nba streets game for them to enjoy and let the main basketball game be that about just basketball
The worst things 2k ever did was listening to content creators. No one asked for the city. No one asked a beach. No one asked for a gta type game. 2k started giving in the last 4 yrs bc of streamers. If you look at the OGs of 2k ( tyceno, nade, power, grindin, cole, badgeplug, daviss) they all didn't ask for theses things. It's the new gen kids who wanted theses thing and that's why 2k fails every yr. 2k needs to make a game for themselves. That's why 2k14-17 was so well.

Both parties deserve equal blame. The devs clearly listens but to who? The parrot fiasco is proof they listen but to the wrong people.
The community is toxic and doesn't know what they want. They want a city, they want tigers, they want rewards. 2k was much better when they had competitors like NBA live to push them. 2k went from being a b-ball game only to a skateboard, mech riding, jetpack using mess.
Battle passes were a dumb idea. Now they will never go away. SMH.... 2k, like Madden needs a competitor or it will plateau out.
I think they paid certain content creators to promote battle passes. Games were heading in that direction anyways they just had to have us believe its a good idea.
Just take away all the glitchy stuff and game will be good

It’s not about the extreme it’s about incentives to play at all levels should have rewards. As you keep climbing or playing there must be rewards that set you apart from the person that barely plays don’t you think?

Bottom line 2k should not be listening to content creators because they don’t know what they want. 2k should make their own game and put it out. You can not listen to people that never played real life basketball and sit in front of a monitor 12 hours a day. Sorry for the rant.
I want superstar builds back. I want my 99 dunk back where my player isn’t incompetent for having it. I don’t need a high shooting, or passing. All I need is dunks, dribbling, and defense. I don’t like how I am forced to place points on things I don’t want, or need. And I don’t want those patches that ruin the game every year.
And steals being strong ensures only the best dribblers can exist, or pass the ball. We don’t want broken steals but allow defenders to defend and be rewarded. Blocks are also too OP but I don’t mind pump faking, using floaters, going around or over the defenders.
It’s also too much body animations. If I’m a dunker with posterizer using the analog stick then I should have the advantage like irl. I should get a foul, and1, or the dunk, and the defender needs to be in proper position instead of warping over to me, or standing under the rim.
He should have to use his momentum to time the block, the same way I have to time the dunk.
The defender should have to hold and release the block button to time the block instead of just pressing the button and rng block, or I miss because the meter is too small. But people can shoot 3’s while smothered is unfair.
Got kicked last night 4 times in a row after making it to gold to times in a row
Spend money on stable internet instead of Virtual Currency
Fix the server from kicking people out I shouldn't have to grind constantly for a record that doesn't show that I'm gold or purple when I'm constantly getting kicked from servers that are broken then they don't give it back after all the time spent
