OTB Bootistan. The are just perfect, I wear them third year and absolutely love them. Summer, winter, sand, swamp, rocks - tough as hell. Bad news - they are discontinued by OTB, I still sorry that I missed to by another pair on the final sale.

I think the gaitor should fit with the top of the gaitor over the calf on the back of the leg just under the knee. And if you can lookf for boots with the D-loop at the bottom of the laces that is for the hook on the front of the gaitor. :)

OR gaitors are the best. I got a Large pair locally and I use them seldomly in the winter here in the worst conditions. They are very warm and with two layers of wool socks in your boots they can get quite toasty, down to -20 -25 degrees. IIf you are using Mountaineering boots you probably need the largest size to go around the boot properly, I'm thinking of getting a second smaller pair in Medium for lightweight hiking boots. They are excellent. The only thing is that Amazon does not carry the camo ones yet. :)

11,5 US, the boots also have a EUR 44,5 mark on them, as well as "Made in China" (at least it's honest, have no problems with this), the insole length is 30 cm. My civilian boots are sized 44. Thank you again for the link on Botach shop, just received the second pair of Bootistans (3 week from LA to Moscow), they are totally the same as the previous pair.

Well, they honestly said that these boots were intended for the A-stan campaign. As for "stan", believe me, these countries had this in their names far before USSR and even Russia existed :-) As for British Ebay - thanks for the hint, bro. Велико Хвала!

How do you think these would go with Snake bites? I'm from Australia and have had a few close calls, most snakes here are deadly and I'm looking for some Multicam gaiters that will give me a bit of extra protection from the buggers

Oh... I never considered the gaiters from that angle. Cordura that they are made of is relatively dense material and snake fangs, as far as I know, are not like needles, but more of a triangular shape. It will also depend on the strength of the bite. I may assume that gaiters in this case at least will add chances.

Do you think the size Large will fit with a size 12 boot?

I use Large gaiters with 11,5 boots and they fit just fine with enough room to tune. Do not think there will be any problem with half size larger boots.

Those are 'Alpine Gaitors" Why they make them in camo is beyond me, my thinking would be marpat snow. :)
