Anyone want to define what a short-teack distance is? I used to think short track was under 1-mile. Superspeedways were over two miles. The average NASCAR track is an oval, more than one mile but less than two miles. At least that's what I thought Charlotte is 1 1/2 miles in the oval track.
Hi. There are always discussions about the definition of track types. I think you have understood it very well. The “normal” ovals, like Charlotte, are referred to as Intermediate by NASCAR. NASCAR provides lists of tracks with their respective track types -> www.nascar.com/tracks/
