my son is sailing as a deck cadet and it was very fortunate i started following ur series now he is about to complete his contract but ur vdos has always kept me with the job he is in and the tasks he has to do on board . I am very thankful to u sir great job ur doing sir

Im also Second Engineer on LNG and i dont like the idea as a master to come down to my Engine Room to "check" whats wrong and whats not wrong...starting that the Captain have no idea whats the principle and the role of each machinery in ER ..thats why we have Chief Engineer, i dont go to the bridge and tell the guys what i dont like there thats not clean and etc what so ever..just my opinion...thats why we have head departments, Chief and Captain...everyone has hes own responsability on hes own sector.
First of all its not "your" engine room, if the master wants to do rounds which they're required to do they can, normally they'd be with the chief eng anyway. If the engine room is dirty the captain can tell you it needs to be cleaned as he is the master...
Its captains ship bro. So if he wish he can go anywhere and order to do anything u just have to obey the orders
True .. correct!! Everyone is assigned their own responsibilities. The captian has no right to interfere with the engine room ..n first of all PPL who say if "he is the captian ..it's his ship" then what about the owner of the ship ?Voh chutiya hai kya?Then what's the duty of the chief engineer?..is he called chief just for name sake ? This is the most disgusting thing what I hate in shipping.(interference in responsibilities)
you don t even know the head department officers! chief officer and chief engineer! that s why they are called CHIEFS! and its not captain its MASTER! master as you prob dont know is the fucking company's representative on board!
His name is attach to the ship log..he is the master of that ship..he is responsible for the whole ship not just the bridge. If he want to come to the engine room, the engine room better be ready for him.

Jahaz meh do Jan ka hi chalta hai. Chief engineer and Master. But all this peace and enjoyment is when the ship is sailing or at anchor. As soon as the port is reached. All hell breaks out, starting with PSC inspection and other trouble
Are you taught the commercial value of shipping like Bills of Lading, issuance and its various arising problems etc

Ok but on my ship Capt Mohan Lal Juneja used to do all maintenance work on deck ,valve overhaul extinguisher maintenance, cargo planning discharging loading, all drills safety round...

Whats the ship name!? I sailed as a cadet back on a ship called NCC Tihama back in 2010, looks very similar! Now a second officer with Princess cruises!

Once in a while it’s okay he will get a reminder call from watch keeping Officer , on a regular basis it’s not good and captain will take actions to ensure that u turn up on time - he has his many ways to ensure discipline onboard bro
