Great video. It helped me create a flow this week. Small difference, for the recipient, I was using a public group. For this I had to use a « get record » element to recuperate the « Group » object, then specify the developername field equals the group api name. Thanks again!!!

Your video is great - but I still unable to get it to work. I was trying to case it where when a case is assigned a case user --- a notification bell would pop for that user. Any ideas of where I might of gone wrong on the steps? The ONLY difference is the object = case. and under Collect recipient the value is "record ...case user". I'm not sure where to look next. Any help is appreciated.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble getting it to work. It can be frustrating when things don't go as planned. It is very difficult to guess where it went wrong without looking at the actual flow. I suggest you to double check all steps, you can refer this blog to cross check all conditions step by step. www.cloudwaale.com/post/simplifying-communication-a-guide-to-sending-custom-notifications-in-salesforce

    Hello,
Thank you for this video. The notifications are going to desktop but not mobile. How can you send to both?

Hello, while creating custom Notification Type, you need to select Supported channel Desktop, Mobile, follow these steps- Setup> Custom Notifications.

@@cloudwaale Thank you, do you know how you if users can receive an email alert when they get a push notification?

Hi, If you are talking about standard notification like chatter tag or chatter post, yes, we need to set preferences in My Setting and as per new release we have to provide email address and from name in chatter > email setting. and for custom notification we can create logic in flow to send email alert. hope this helps you.

@@cloudwaale thank you for this great video! I've followed everything and I get Desktop notifications. Those same notifications don't appear in the mobile app even though I checked the "Mobile" notification type you suggest here. Any clue why that might be the case?
