There is 1 big thing I'd mention, which is that Infinity Orb and Lichbane each have unique passives for 5% movement speed buffs, so they stack for 10%. It helps to compensate for the lack of boots and helps you traverse the map without sinking gold into just boots.
Keep in mind this is in 3.4 patch game.... In 3.5 you can pick new buffed Pathfinder rune to compensate for boots even more and also have faster regeneration rate.

Lich bane and hunter genius already give you ability haste, and with 1100 gold you are gonna be dealing twice the damage. Also I think you should pick sudden impact instead of gathering storm. Also 4:30 you can't do that anymore. Yeah, I know that sudden impact and short ranged monsters didn't exist when this video was recorded
I would say this is viable on karma support too, because her third ability gives movement speed anyway and most of the items you buy for karma give ability haste. 1050 for the first half of ludens echo over ionian boots = you stay in lane much longer, finish ludens echo, push the turret and potentially get boots to if you manage to get a kill or rotate. Even if the enemy duo goes back and gets boots, you're coming back into lane a full item ahead 😵💫 I used to always rush boots after first item, or get first half of second item on some builds and some champions. But I'm seriously going to reconsider this from now on
Evelyn is the Darius of jungle where your success(snowball possibility) depends on how much your opponent knows about your champion ( strength & weakness)
I was hoping this would be an updated way to play Eve on the new patch, but it's just all the stuff I used to do :( Btw I did a lot of damage comparisons and infinity orb is a better starting item than rabadons as far as I can tell, lots of passives and comes online faster which is absolutely huge on Evelynn

Talking about baron attack button.... Actually, the minion button targets baron with basic attacks, not sure if it focus abilities on Baron too... Smite is automatically focused on Baron and Dragon..... I think they should add focus icon like there are champion focus icons you can toggle in the options.
Smite auto targets the objective but I think he means some way to target lock on to the objective (other than dragging the attack button) so he can use a skill and then smite (secure)
Guys a sneaky little tip on eve is that if ur near and u can’t reach the enemy and ur teammate is about to kill the enemy u can just use ur 2nd and you will get a assist(prob more of a tip for beginners but I have seen so many people not use this trick)
Bread and butter Evelynn trick : go behind them cast spell 2 they are afraid and walk back BOUM S1 AA S3 AA ULT deead (Hitting AA is sooo important in the mid game coz the leach bane damage is INSANE)

Also Rengar. I was steamrolling yesterday, and realized, because I never bought my boots. I think there’s no button to target drag bc if you’re not targeting a specific enemy, you’ll automatically target lowest HP, so the key to smiting is to cancel your target, then burst down the drag.
Also viable on pyke to get boots last, his items and runes give him plenty of ability haste and movement speed as it is. You can rush your items then build boot enchant last

The new horizon Focus (I think thats what its called) works with all of her abilities as there not targeted, which boosts her damage output and her aoe output as most of her skills hit multiple times! I think it would be very cool!
Get infinity orb first then go rabadon and build into lich bane. Evelynn main too. You need you gank 24 7 after the new buff where you get stacks for gold. If you see opponent overextend anywhere, gank them. Ps. I have 60% wr on her
since this video is now outdate cuz new patch illed green book i think a good new item is the soul stealer also btw hells using th turrent button or minnion button one of them targets the baron and dragon also one targets frits and the jumper plant

I'm really prefering either soulstealer (for more penetration and ulti CD reduction) or at most Cosmic Drive. Going Morellonomicom only when behind, cant oneshot, and then I support my team with grevious wound

I play a lot of eve. But I do miss the protobelt if you dont buy boots.... A lot of times you need to flash in en ult out. But you f has a long cool down comped to ult. So the protobelt is a great buy...

It’s more competitive, I feel like smite is good as it is. You have to separate skill players form non skill players that’s the whole point of ranked and trying to make it better
Should new phase rush be viable on her since u don't have boot and you can get out quickly and also a sudden impact. I am just asking maybe mine might be better or worse.You can't know.
The electrocute damage is just too necessay for her to take any other run. Sudden impact isnt necessary if ur getting full charms, however, it could be good earlier on if u use ur 3rd ability first. I havent played her in the new patch yet tho.
Reworked souls soulstealer would be better than morels imo, unless they have heals ofc but ud be spamming ults like crazy with that, I see an Evelyn with that I'm alrdy scared to walk alone🤣

I'm not a jungle main, but I'm pretty sure as long as you're not locked onto anyone, the smite automatically goes to dragon/baron/rift herald

For me Hells, the basic boots is would suffice. The extra movement speed is crucial in ganks and responds.
Tog can clear 6 camps in 1:39 and has a smite for scuttle crab that's incredibly fast
