Thanks so much for your real world review of the Mission 2, it has influenced me to purchase this computer. However I am having trouble understanding how to get the computer to log the dive entry and exit points (especially the exit points, can you describe how to do this? I know you have to make sure GPS is acquired on entry but how do you do or know that it is acquired on exit? Thanks
New to diving, I’m looking for a decent dive watch/computer that won’t break the bank. I heard about the mission 2, and then found your channel. What a great review you may just of sold it to me.
Welcome to our expensive lovable thing of ours. I currently have a Oceanic 2.0. I’m going to be upgrading to a Shearwater Peregrine. My advice would be: get a computer that can grow with you as you advance in your Dive career
@@gavinwood8431 well, first decide what kind of Diver you wish to be. Personally I’m a warm weather diver who wants to get into tech. May you’re a cold weather diver. I would say this: research the gear you want, try it out, and make sure it’s what you want before throwing down hundreds of dollars on something that you may not like
I searched for a long time to select a dive computer that has a reasonable price and a long enough battery. I have a Garmin fenex pro and it’s awesome so I was looking at the Garmin decent G1 but the issue I had was it’s size. I use glasses to read and the face was just to small. I saw the Atmos Mission 2 and the screen is larger and as a beginner diver I don’t need air integration and I still wanted to use the watch everyday. I am very impressed with the functionality and there are 3 new watch faces you have with the new firmware upgrade (Aug23) The tide is very close to real-time and the weather feedback is great. In my opinion for the price it’s a fantastic first dive computer that I can use for at least a few years and will grow with me as I progress through my dive journey. I payed $780 (AUS) but I believe it’s worth it. It’s a great dive computer that can be used as a smart watch.
Talking about fitness journey! Dude you radiate, wow! Looking good mate. It's been a while since I've dropped by more than a thubnail on your videos and I can immediately spot the change in you. What ever you are doing, it's working and I'm sure 2023 will change you completely for the better. Good job!
Holy Moly Justin, I had to look twice I've been busy it's really warm in New Haven , CT. But your looking vantastic . You must feel great !! Oh boy I'm so happy for you, your beautiful wife must be relieved because I was worried about you so I know she loves you sooo much she never cared about your weight but the sress on your heart ♥ was not good . God Bless my young friend I've missed the Critter hunter. Stay Safe and happy , healthy with the love of God .😇🙏💙❤
Mission One user here, love it and it does enough for me. Had a Garmin Fenix to track above water activities but the heart rate monitor was so inaccurate it wasn't funny. After some googling I wasn't alone, and many said for accurate heart rate you need a chest band. I would be interested in the Mission 2 if it works better than the Garmin
I bought one, and it's a buggy P.O.S. i should have stuck with my Cressi Neon and miband pro. Edit: I was a bit too hasty here, the bugs are (relatively) minor and related to the app, the hardware is solid (i.e. no problems using as a dive computer although the metrics differ slightly from, for example, Cressi) . It's the only watch I've found for android users that has both smartwatch and dive computer features, and I look forward to more improvements.
Hello! Thanks for the good and simple review! I bought my mission2 also because of you! Just a question about the compass. When u start the dive u set up the arrow in the direction you want to go and than come come back following the opposite green little sign or when u start the dive u point the red arrow facing the boat/shore/exit point and than u go for a dive and when is time to get back u follow that? I know is basically the same thing, just wondering which way is the more correct 😅🙌 thank you!
Please tell me, do you still use this computer? Can you give an assessment after a long time of use? How reliable is it, are there any software glitches? Are you satisfied with this or do you want to buy something new?
You said with "everything on" the battery life is 3-5 days. But Atmos on their website say " Sport Mode (GPS & Heart Rate on): Up to 7 hours". Can you clear this up?
Thanks very much for this comprehensive review. How much have you used your mission 1 and how is it holding up over time? Would you say it's robust and reliable? I'm currently looking for a dive computer/watch and I kinda like the mission 2 even though it's a bit higher than my budget. My other choice would be the peregrine. Of course I'd prefer the Garmin descent Solar G1 but it's another php10k.
Thank you all for so much support! All of your help keeps me going, to bring ton of videos you want to see! www.buymeacoffee.com/critterjustin

Sold! Thanks dude. Glad I found the channel. New sub my guy
Awesome show thank you for sharing it. Great looking watch. Have a great day.
Thanks, you too!
Nice review. its display is nice, sapphire glass. Designed for recreational divers. Simple and long battery life.
Ya I should of mentioned display, it looks great and easy to read underwater. And light turns on when I twist wrist

I can't answer that, but it is cheaper
Damn bro ! Came to get a look at the M2 and was floored by how much weight you've lost ! That Filipina food ain't no joke lol grats bro !

Awesome review Justin 🎉
Wow!!! Nice review for that🥰
hmm.. got a question here! Does the Atmos app connect to strava (the running app)?

Thank man
Thanks for the review 👍
Interesting information! Thanks Justin!
Thanks Cyndi!
does it say how much air you have?i like your review i hope you do more view of this watch underwater.
Can you mark GPS spots? Even marking them at the surface would be fine.
Also, do you know how the sleep tracking compares to the Garmin or Fitbits?
It does do GPS, not sure about sleep
Good information. Appreciate it.
Please tell me, do you still use this computer? Can you give an assessment after a long time of use? How reliable is it, are there any software glitches? Are you satisfied with this or do you want to buy something new?
Yes. We have a few of them for students at the shop
So should I go for mission 1 or mission 2?😢
Mission 2
@@CritterHunter thanks for the reply! Just wondering if it’s between a mission 2 and Garmin descent g1 , which will you choose ?
@@ivychewy look at the Garmin price first
If price is not much different , which is better ? Garmin G1 Vs mission 2

👍😎🤿🇵🇭I like but I unfortunately just bought a new dive computer and I do like that one!!
You said with "everything on" the battery life is 3-5 days. But Atmos on their website say " Sport Mode (GPS & Heart Rate on): Up to 7 hours". Can you clear this up?
That must be a mistake because I have those on now, and it definitely last more than a day
If I would look for DC I would still get shearwater even do I do already own 2 Perdix I don't think there is anything better
Sure it's good, for a dive-only computer. Not a daily wearer

How far from Manila are you? I’m going there to Dive in November and would like to Dive with you
An hour flight
Does it have GPS and can you use it for navigation on surface?
Yes and yes
