    I look at Bob we make 1000 of this 500 of this and this. Come up front his pile 100 hives. Pouring on numbers ......I made 180 hives two years ago. And have a lot of head ache. 😂😂😂😂😂😂. But I did it by my self 😂😂😂😂. Well done Bob! Seems big expansion and sales for next season

      Thanks. Throwing out numbers probably sounds good but it's relevant to the situation. I probably made better stuff when it was just me making only equipment for myself like you're doing.

    Seems like for that quantity you might save time by wax dipping them rather than painting. It would provide a higher quality finish, also.

    Went to the hive life conference 2022 and it was great. 1600 people at the conference in 2023 will be good and bad. It’ll lose the small feel.

    Bob, you never really said what the notch is on the deeps ends on the pallet you are talking over? The ones for the queen breeder box. I presume this is for the entrance, of your special bottom board you make for these.

    Love your page. I am 74 years old ,had bees most of my years.
    Make nucs with my on queens, have 80 hives.Like the 2nd round of Nuc,s the way you made them but lost the page , would send the name of page? Very hard to make a 2nd round of nucs with my queens.

    i used 2 sided MDO less warpy. i spent a lot of years in the sign industry we used MDO for signs and i used scraps for makin some bee equip.

    Hello Bob. I will be coming to the hive life conference. I really like the migratory lids. I will pic up some more at the conference and some bottom boards. I wish the t-shirts had a pocket. I need some nuc bottom boards and lids myself.

    Ha Bob in a resent video u share on you tube u talked about u treating with oav in Dec u said u were going to treat 3 times if u do not mind how many days in between the treatments are u going to do what I am trying to say every 5 days 3 days I hope that I am making since thanks and have a blessed day

    How much "slack" to you build into the length of the migratory covers? I've been experimenting with building some but have found that with the summer humidity the boxes have expanded to the point that the lids no longer fit. Thank you.

      We make our covers 21-3/4 inch long. With the two end strips being 3/4, which equals 1-1/2, and a proper box at 19-7/8, it leaves 3/8 inch.

      We use pine or cypress and 3/4 inch or 19mm.

    Hi Bob - QUESTION: where did you buy the observation hive from and any tricks/advice on keeping them alive? We had a difficult time keeping ours going in the retail store. Thanks in advance!

      We actually made ours. Nothing special. Most years we have to replace the bees with a fresh nuc. Occasionally they will last more than one season. Sorry, I don't have any special advice on that.

      Our current nuc boxs are 9-1/2 x 19-7/8. If you order nuc bottoms from us they would be 9-1/2 inch wide and probably 21-3/4 long. The strips would be cut for a box 19-7/8 long. @@williambates6811

    I'm curious how you measure 1/128th with precision....is that for all lengths of cuts, can you explain what calibration tools you use for that or make a video please. I remember when you were talking about when you yourself were first hired and learned that kind of precision in your boss's carpentry wood shop.       We have 12 inch calipers if we need to do something like that but thankfully not many cuts like that are needed.
