Hi James - now that it's been a few months since your trip, on reflection which trip out to the Great Barrier Reef do you remember more deeply? Ocean Safari from the Daintree or the full day trip from Cairns? I've done the full day ones 3 times but I'm taking my extended family who are from the UK and they will only be able to afford either the Ocean Safari or the full day from Cairns. The Ocean Safari one looks really special but I haven't experienced it first hand so it's hard to choose for other people!
Hi Lee, it’s the Ocean Safari from Daintree I remember most fondly, 100%. The reef is much closer to the surface (only about a meter), so you can get much closer to it without having to swim down. It also gets a lot more sunlight, so you can see all the colours more clearly. Plus, it’s only 20 mins from the shore (compared to hours from Cairns). If I could only do one again, I’d definitely go from Daintree. Hope you and the family enjoy!
Loved this video James! So glad we bumped into you both at Mission Beach. We’re missing our pommy mates ☕️🦘
Cool video ! I enjoy the journey !
Lovely video and please do the West Coast of Australia . They say the west is the best .By the way , your under water filming is amazing !
Thanks Louisa, really appreciate your lovely comments. We'd love to visit WA next time we're in Australia, there's so many places we want to see!
West Coast is wonderful indeed.
