Fun fact: Tencent being the sole investor in the Devs' Team GameScience and the game, acquired a mere 5% stake in the studio's future profit, but 100% of decisions are left up to GameScience. From the game's content to its development; to its production to marketing, are all at GameScience's sole discretion with zero interference. A fickle mistress😂😂😂
@@snakejazzProbably how it’s based off chinese mythology which is extremely rare to see in video games. Plus the character designs looks super unique as well.
Really? There was absolute bangers throughout the decade, from GOW to Elden Ring to Red Dead Redemption to Ghost Of Tsushima, FFVII Remake and so on
Um we have gotten some of the most incredible games of all time over the last decade idk what you've been playing lol. Across all platforms as well
Finally!! I've been waiting on this game for years. Ever since that very first gameplay video was released. Can't wait to see how the whole game is
Don't be afraid of postponement, as August 20th, 2024 is the birth day of the Chinese lunar calendar's Great Sage of Qi Tian
The original JTTW tv show theme 😭😭😭 this is greatness, so nostalgic
A release date finally!!!! Been waiting 5 years
I’m gonna temper my expectations as cool as this is, I’ll be all the more grateful if it lives up to trailer
This game could be the next GOTY. Incredible 🤩
Yea, this or Dragons Dogma 2
@@simonlow0210I love dragon dogma but this is the full story of wukong 500 plus hours this gotta be goty 2024
@@GoCrazy69 nah it's impossible one game has more than 100 hrs walkthrough in the world
2024 is the best year to release game, if you want GOTY award. GTA6 in 2025 gotta kill all competitor
@xenxx1192 What if both Black Myth and GTA6 drop to the next year.
Already on top of my wishlist for months now. Can't wait
been on mine for years since the first little gameplay thing dropped. Im so excited! Insta cop for sure
This game sooo overdelivered. A GOTY without a question. Nothing comes close.
The mere appearance of the enemies is amazing
2:10 that giant turtle just like Jormugandr
I've loved reading mythologies as far back as middle school, and Journey to the West had me absolutely captured. Wukong is my favorite character in any mythology, I'd be absolutely thrilled to play him.
YES, a release date! and there's an English dub? Double YES!
Chinese dubbing can better showcase the stories and philosophies of black mythology, and perhaps it is also worth trying.
@@akk-y7y You're right, I'll give both a listen if they give us the option to change audio languages.
Wow it’s releasing on my birthday! And the year of the dragon! 🔥
提前祝你生日快乐,几把猫🎉
such classic story finally brought to the modern audience. Even has that timeless music at background. Can't wait.
Finally we have the release date! I'm so excited🎉🎉
So excited! One of the games I'm looking forward to most
As someone who is part Asian, my blood is pulsing through my heart at a sonic speed over this type of Rpg.
YES!!! I'M EXTREMELY EXCITED FOR BLACK MYTH WU KONG MY LEVEL OF HYPE FOR THIS GAME IS INSANE!!!!
LOOKS INCREDIBLE
I'm seriously hyped up for this game, it looks amazing.
Ghost of Tsushima also looked amazing in the trailer, but if you play it, most locations are generic and only some are beautiful
Bro fromsoftware needs to reach out to these guys creative department rn
Finally an official release date!
Tencent gave the team so much money they were able to build their own standalone studio in Hangzhou.
Tencent also owns 40% of EpicGames, the maker of Unreal Engine. The joint venture is benefitting both companies greatly as Tencent also possess many gaming technologies which they've shared with EpicGames to improve UE.
Tencent finally know how to investing game teams
Tencent did not give them money, it was Heroes Entertainment that gave them money
VERY COOL
Finally my childhood character coming to life in his own game!
We recommend playing the game with Chinese voiceovers for a more authentic experience. This game will feature a large amount of Chinese cultural content that you may not have encountered before, with a significant portion derived from Chinese mythology. It may be challenging to understand at first, but you will discover the stories behind them. Additionally, please refrain from comparing this game to Japanese games. It's important to understand that the entire East Asian culture originated from China, and the promotion of Chinese culture is still in its early stages. And,fk ign

1:45 sounds like Vegeta freestyling tbh
Dear IGN, you might need to check on your Southeast Asia team for Sinophobic and Overreading tendencies regarding Black Myth: Wukong. You might consider replacing this kind of writer with someone who isn't biased and doesn't overread or distort facts. It is affecting your brand.
Im so excited about China getting into the creation of games, so much potential there. Just by seeing what Japan, Europe, and the US create, and now Chinese developers. This is a win for all gamers.
OK CCP wumao
This is gonna be game of the year! The wait is almost over!
The trailers keep getting better and better
Sounds better in its original language IMO. So hyped!
The monster models are based on two weird books from around 4th century BCE "Classic of Mountains and Seas" and "Bai Ze". Kind of like ancient guidebooks on DMT along with a cryptozoology Pokedex section.
