I'm a larger girl and I have started making vinegar/water wipes after using the restroom and they have really changed my life I feel so fresh and clean!
Same. I learned the vinegar wet wipes hack from Dr oz.
It's a game changer. It works on the feet too.
Does apple cider vinegar work too?
I use baby wipes
Yes i do the same !
How did you make it? id love to make my own as well, what's the DIY instructions
I use the L. Brand you can find it at Target. Pads definitely make a big difference!! I had fibroids and I would used always infinity pads with the foam but they are so toxic. I would bleed a lot more. There is a war on women’s feminine health that every woman should be aware of. I use sea salt to brush my teeth and in between I use a miswak stick. Coconut oil as lotion. Steel cut oats and honey to exfoliate. I use Dr.bronners lavender soap on my face and body. Then I rose water to tone the a vitamin c and magnesium oil I found at TJ max.
I love reading the comments, y’all so helpful! 🙌
Coconut oil works as deodorant. I've used it for about 3 years. I also use coconut oil, baking soda with a few drops of peppermint oil to brush my teeth. To get my teeth extra white. I use activated charcoal mixed up with coconut oil and scrub all my teeth. About once a month.
It's awesome to see us changing the way we eat and what we choose to put on our bodies. I made the switch to cherish pads after learning about the disgusting way always are made. And 8 months ago after watching What the Health on Netflix I went on a plant based diet and haven't looked back. Thanks for sharing @thechicnatural
Mika Isnt it amazing to see we're turning our lives around....Makes me so proud 😊
Yes!! It's so rewarding! I'm not 100% plant based. But I cut out all meat. Almost all dairy. I'm struggling a little bit with cheese, but I'm so glad especially for women of color, that we are taking care of ourselves and learning different ways of eating! Nutrition is so important. Like you too, I've always had a passion for health and Nutrition and fitness and after seeing what the health, cowspiracy, and other documentaries, I cut out meat completely!
Ms.Kandyce good idea thank you
Love her look
i used to get really bad periods and since i have used a menstrual cup my periods are less heavy. it's so suprising how changing your products can help you:)
APPLE CIDER VINEGAR WITH THE MOTHER!!!! My grandmother swore by a capful in the bath for baby soft skin.... also does all the pH balancing too. one of my natural beauty tips for the longest.
To enhance that, add a cup of goat or cows milk (goat is best full fat), and a cup of honey.
This is the beauty secret of Cleopatra.
I add 2 cups to very warm water, soak ,then shower for 5 minutes with Dove sensitive skin soap, fragrance FREE,and add baking soda 2 tablespoons to handful of baby shampoo for clean, Shiny ,Fresh Hair ,too !!!
I no longer use deodorants. I started off by using lemons. After about a month of using it. I was able to go 1 week without putting anything under my arms. After 6 months, I noticed that whenever I use my raw organic peppermint soap. I no longer needed it. I have gone now, 2 months with no lemons. I also use natural pads as well and maintain a vegan lifestyle. However I'm what you would call a Plantarian type of Vegan 😅😅😂😂. I only eat fruits, vegetables and nuts. No rice, no flour. Tysmfs. It's very important that women understand the importance of taking care of themselves great video.
Crystal Clear wow ur lucky I found tht lemons work, however the acidity broke me out after a few days. I wish my skin wasn’t so sensitive because I would have preferred tht over deodorant.
What about the lemon juice in those little bottles? Do you think that would be okay too?
Lashae Davis Yeah that happened to my friend. She had to go down to 3 times a week. But I heard Apple Cider Vinegar helps with that as well. Not 100 on it. Might wanna check into it. Best of luck girlie.
Crystal Clear I'm glad you specified your diet. It seems pretty rare that ppl without a plant based diet can successfully roam the streets with no funk 😊
Crystal Clear why do you not eat rice? Do you eat legumes? I'm a vegan too but am always interested in how other people eat
Not only are you gorgeous..you are intelligent, health conscious and you also provide us with amazing info! Thank you for this video..very informative. Also do you have a diy vid for the face scrub that you make? I definitely want to give it try..
I agree. Slowly trying to transition, starting with the food. Your hair looks amazing as usual!
Yes awesome!!! I can say if any ladies are struggling with feminine odor (down below) ...I would recommend apple cider vinegar (I use the Mother Nature raw brand )It works !!!
Omg that deodorant broke me out so bad. I prefer the Arm & Hammer aluminum free.
I thought I was the only who deodorants caused to break out. I have trying to explain it to people and they don't seem to under it. I use the natural ones now.
I use that deodorant as well...you have to let your body heat to soften it before applying it. Let it sit on your armpits a few seconds before rubbing it in.
I boil fresh sage and douce with it monthly. It's really pleasant and cleansing. Also a cheap way to exfoliate is baking soda and coconut oil. Hope this helps someone😊
I know u hear this all the time but u are very pretty... ALWAYS!! Thanks for sharing this video, it was very helpful.
I cannot even being to tell how ok how much of a positive influence you have!!! Honestly I’m transitioning into a cleaner health style and it’s tough but I alway come here to find ways and things I can do it help improve it and the pad girl omg!!!! Tonight you’ve just put me on seriously thank you for these videos!!!!
Apple cider mixed with water in a spray bottle is an awesome deodorant. You will not smell like vinegar☺
Girl, I can not tell you how happy I am that I came across your channel! OMG!
I say YES to the natural routines. I've been incorporating natural products into my skincare and hair routine.🤗
I use a menstrual cup and handmade cotton panty liners, baking soda as a deodorant (I can skip it and not even notice!), clay for my teeth(along with floss) and for facial masks. I really need to grab those natural soaps, I don't have a specific favorite brand though I like the Neutrogena anti-acne shower gel and exfoliant. Coconut and almond oils are great as body lotions!
Thanks for sharing your products! I always get something out of your videos.
I genuinely appreciate you and how you take care of yourself. I used to watch your hair videos and then started to dabble like hmmmm what’s this meal prep thing she’s doing. Now I’m going through a transition of trying to eat natural and non processed foods. Hopefully become vegan one day. Thanks sis! 💕💕
I switched to organic products too. Thus far I love it! False nails and nail polish are bad too. I switch to organic nail polish and you can buy it on amazon in addition to organic makeup products.
look at you with the consistent uploads! you are coming through this year. Thanks for the tips
I have been using baking soda mixed with coconut oil as my daily facial cleanser for the past year and it has made a huge difference with my skin. I also use ACV mixed with water as a toner, and my skin has never been better. I will be switching my deodorant and toothpaste as well, thanks for tips.
You gorgeous & classy, you have all your videos well made and you are a elegant person who i look up on ❤️💯
Thank you so much for sharing. I'm transitioning over to all natural products as well. I've started with my household cleaning products and now working my way over to myself.
Wow 2 day period!! Where do I sign up!!
Love your skin care routine. I make my own face wash and toner. I love it. It's waste-free, chemical free and very affordable. My skin has never looked better! Great to see someone else promoting a simple, healthful, natural hygiene routine.
When you said “stay dry down there, ya know?” I nodded lol
Vanessa Prescott
Ok. I feel ya!✌
😂😂 right!?
I just bought the Schmidt's deodorant and The Everyday body wash last night at TJMaxx. I used the deodorant this morning and I was dry all day at work. I think this is my new favorite deodorant.
Magnesium "oil" works great as a deodorant. You mix magnesium and water to create the oil. It's not really an oil consistency but that's what it's called.
There are definitely chemicals in the commercial brand products that causes you to bleed heavier. That's so that you would purchase more product. SMH!
That's exactly what I read and from my own experience the difference is night and day.
I use that same deodorant and to combat the hardness of deodorant just hold it under your arm for about 10 seconds to warm it and it's soft like butter!
Omg. I changed my diet and I have been wondering what happened to my flow this year-shorter and less painful. I’m glad I jumped on this video. ❤️❤️
I love organic pads and tampons! I got my whole life with them. I use the brand L. from Target! I dont have cramps or any kinda symptoms like i use to when i was using regular tampons and pads. Oh and thanks for showing the deodorant, i need to try it!
Love that brand and they donate some each time you buy a pack...
I use them as well when I don't feel like using my diva cup
Yes! I love that brand as well. My cycle did a complete 360 after using it. No cramps, no bleeding my life away or irritation. All those years I suffered. Smh 🤦🏾♀️
Now my cycles are just peachy and short.
Sweets Bun Are u serious?
Target run later today. Thx for the info!
This video came right on time because I’m in the process of switching all of my household and hygiene products to all natural products. Thanks for this!
Glad u mentioned deodorant! I have been looking for a good natural deodorant.
The Crow's Nest I use that brand and it’s the best natural deodorant I’ve tried.. it’s a little greasy tho
The Crow's Nest try Toms of Maine too
Witch hazel definitely keeps your skin clear. It closes the pores to stop irritation.
Great video! I recently stopped using any type of pads. I now use the Diva cup and Shethinx panties. I also experienced a lighter and shorter m cycle with change in diet (vegan 15 yrs) and even more so now that I no longer use the toxic pads/tampons.
Sherine Bonsu I love the shethinx panties!
Organic feminine products are awesome! I noticed the same thing when I switched immediately... my periods went from 5 days to 3 with little to no cramping 🙌🏽
I would use the Apple cider vinegar instead of that white one.
natalee3230 same the mother kind is wonderful
Love mother Bragg
Great video. I agree with your statement about feminine hygiene products. I've had issues too and identified my sanitary napkins and fabric softener as the two main culprits. Once I made some changes, there was a huge improvement. Also, baking soda works well as an extremely mild exfoliating facial scrub. I put a small amount in my hands along with 1 pump of Cetaphil facial cleanser and I love it. It's so gentle. Thanks so much for sharing these tips. I think I'll try the Rael pads and liners 👍🏾
Visually You’re Too Much For Me 💕 , You’re Super Cool For Saying What’s In Your Facial Cleanser I Definitely Would Have Packaged Them And Sold Them . You Look Incredible . Love Your Videos 💁🏾♀️
I do the vinegar bath as well, I add baking soda to my water as well. Been doing it since I was around 25ish.
Same here with the deodorants! I love that brand too but I think for some people the trick is to switch it often so it doesn't adapt to your body.
I’ve always had short periods and since using reusable pads my flow is so much lighter. Your not the only one
Honey Pot is a natural brand for feminine products and it’s Black Owned😊 We love to support Black business when possible in my household. Thanks for sharing all of this... that also goes for all of you ladies who have left comments that I feel I should go back and read!
It's called taking very good care of your body. Thank you for all inspiring tutorials you give.
This is why I enjoy your videos...super simple and not a lot of "over the top" products! I agree with the natural deodorants. I'm using an organic deodorant from Marshalls, but it doesn't last. I tried to make my own with bak. soda, but it started to irritate me. I have to use it sporadically...I've looked up Schmidt before, so I will have to research again. Also, if I knew then what I know now about flossing. Huge game changer for me. My husband and I make our own mouth rinse out of essential oils. No more bad breath for us! Regular bowel movements have made a drastic difference in the amt. of acne I use to get.
For the "V" area, I totally agree with you! Have you ever tried just splashing the area with ACV? I learned that from a friend, but I noticed more wetness...so IDK about that one...I don't have a tub, so I cannot soak.
I exfoliate daily with my diy brown sugar, coconut and tea tree scrub. It leaves my skin so soft.
I tried Schmidts and it irritated my underarms because of the baking soda, it worked but my underarms got dark and it looked burn. So I got the Jasmine Tea sensitive formula and it doesn't irritate my skin, my underarms went back to its normal color. HOWEVER, it doesn't last and now I'm on the hunt for a new natural deodorant. My best friend uses this brand called Lone and I tried her deodorant one night and it worked while I was out dancing and all so I think imma try that brand. They sell the Schmidts brand at Marshalls here in Texas that's where I got mines from, had to order the sensitive formula off amazon though...too bad it didn't work for me and my mom tried it and it didn't work either she had the Lavender scent.
You are on point with all of the products and parts of your hygiene regimen. Your are gorgeous and love your fresh down to earth delivery.
Thank you so much for this video! It actually validates what I have been feeling for the last two to three years. I also went on a journey to find skin care products that were more natural because my skin is so sensitive. After a lot of trial and error what I found that works for me is aloe vera gel and Shea Butter. And the summer time I switch from shea butter to coconut oil. I cannot exfoliate everyday because my skin is too sensitive but I live by shea butter and aloe vera.
I love schmidts deodorant. I apply vitamin e oil under my arms prior to applying the deodorant. It helps with the application process. I can't see myself using any other brand. My favorite scent is Snow Day (limited addition) I had to stock up. Besides that I prefer fragrance free.
jdj2237 do you experience any sweating with this deodorant? I have very active sweat glands and have not found any that keep me dry even if the odor is on point.
jdj2237 Snow Day is beautiful, smells like an olde fashioned bar of soap. I stocked up at TJMaxx too! 😃
Naturalbynature Blackwell No sweating at all.
Milofire :3 TJ MAXX...OOH I'M ON THE HUNT NOW 🏃🏾♀️. I USE ORGANIC VINEGAR. NOTHING WORKS FOR WETNESS!
Exactly sistar....non toxic...organic...all natural!!! Black soap and lemon grass soap is amazing also...👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 coconut oil! 💖 Schmidts! Keep it simple!!!
Coming through in the clutch with this video 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Suffering from eczema and sweat due to anxiety, ooohff underarms🙆, love the info bout the deodorant, have tryed almost everything, might as well give this one a try, if its hypoallergenic
...thanks for this, really enjoy the channel... stay greatful, may God bless you and all of your followers!!🙏
Try NATIVE deodorant! I am telling yall it works so well. It is a bit expensive, however, it is so worth it
Faithful2K9 Yes!! The coconut vanilla scent is my favorite!!
I use to swear by t but it stopped working for me
There was ONE deodorant scent that was not my favorite so I can understand. How long were you using Native?
For the deodorant, put it on your skin for a few seconds before rubbing. Body heat melts it a bit and makes it smoother to apply
This was so helpful! I tried the lime Schmidt’s as well and it turned my arm pits so itchy and black! I might need to try the rose one! I had given up on natural deodorant!
Yes! Def check TJ Maxx for the best price.
Y’all da best!
You maybe reacting to the baking soda in it. I like the vanilla rose one also took about two weeks to work my underarms had to detox.
I appreciate you mentioning that the soap keeps you feeling fresh and clean. It has been challenging finding a natural soap that doesn't just smell good, but keeps me fresh in hot weather. For that reason, I avoid soaps with lots of butters and oils. Method body wash (sweet water fragrance) has been my go-to. Real Purity deodorant is what I started using and still use when my body got used to the Schmidt's Calendula Ylang deodorant.
Instead of using white vinager, use organic apple cider vinegar with the mother. And you can also bathe in the baking soda.
Yes the schmidts 😍 the ylang ylang scent is amazing and lasts all day!! I swear by it!
Nice video! I am all for the simplicity. I use the Schmidt's deodorant too. I've stopped using tampons as well. So many harmful chemicals in them. I only recently found out that there is no agency (FDA, etc) to regulate most women's menstrual products. I'm trying to get use to the Diva cup now. I will definitely check out those liners and pads. Thanks for sharing!
I want to start the process of moving to natural products for more than just my hair. This video gave me extra inspiration to start!
In the words of my dentist, “floss the teeth you want to keep.” Lol
Quijuandas
If people only knew that flossing is not for clearing out meat but breaking up bacteria (plaque). You must FLOSS at least once a day. Been scared straight since 7years old...lol
This is SO true. I recently had to get a root canal for the one tooth I didn’t floss over the years 😩. It was always painful to floss that one, so I always skipped it. Big Mistake
Quijuandas
Girlfriend sooo true. Thanks for the quote/tip. May save many from the dentist's chair.😕
So true plus flossing eliminates that plaque that causes odor...I always focus on that and the tongue definitely the funkiest part of the mouth lol.
Hallelujah!
Schmidt's charcoal magnesium feels best in my axilla ( underarm) area. There is no roughness or bumpiness like in the rose vanilla scent. Most importantly, it ( charcoal and magnesium) works!!
** Advice with using aluminum free deodorant: Rub a small amount of oil ( coconut, olive, almond) inside the underarm BEFORE applying the deodorant.**
Natural deodorants contain many drying components like baking soda and arrowroot powder that will cause your underarm skin to dry out and peel. The oil will prevent the dry skin.
Authentic African black soap is a wonderful natural cleanser for skin, hair, and nails.
Organic cotton feminine products is the best way to go in light of the developments arising regarding the contents of store shelf feminine products. Many harmful chemicals and components inside store shelf feminine products.
That is also my fave deodorant!! You have to let it sit on your skin for a minute to warm it up and then it will glide on easier. The scent lasts all day too.
Great video. I swear by vinegar and sea salt baths. Many of your tips I already do but would love to add the deodorant you mentioned to my regimen.
Thats the only natural deodorant that works for me too!! The charcoal stained my clothes so I wouldn't recommend that one. I do love the lime one though, not to strong for me at all.
Thank you as always. Your videos give me life, faith and hope. Gotta get the word out there that natural is healthy. Chemicals are not only bad for the body, but the mental and spiritual health as well. Blessings girl.
i use almost all of these products & i also love using dr bronner's castile soaps you can use that soap for dang near everything lmao
Millennial Diva so true! I just started using for my body, hair and face! It’s amazing!
Yessss! It's done wonders for my skin
Millennial Diva I really want a Dr bronners
Thayers is the TRUTH! I love the Cucumber one its so soothing
Girl I agree about that Schmidt’s! I’m trying Native now too to compare
I swear I love Her, she’s so organized and conscious of every thing just like me lol🙌🏽
I use my magi mud and periobrite toothpaste, both natural, and long lasting freshness, and NO FLUORIDE!😭
*Deodorant: Lime Schmidt's is my fav! Sorry it's too harsh for you. Also, it says to hold it under your arm a lil bit before rolling. I put it under my arm, wet my toothbrush, put toothpaste on and by that time it's soft enough to roll on.
*Cycle: Have you tried menstrual cups? Life changing! Silicone a d you buy it once for a year.
*Teeth: Have you ever oil pulled or tried Neem oil? I put a drop of Neem on my toothbrush before brushing with the peppermint Trader Joe's toothpaste and then floss.
*Skin: I'll be trying that exfoliant recipe.
Thanks for the great vid!
With your cycle, the difference is because you’re using different products. The typical tampon, and pad, will have chemicals inside. Those chemicals will cause your period to last a lot longer than it would if you were not using them. With that said, that’s a great change.
Good old money hungry ‘merica.
Check out honey pot pads. They are all natural and have no extra chemicals. They add herbs to the pads like lavender and peppermint leaving you feeling super fresh. It is also a black owned company.
Have you tried the Diva Cup for your monthly cycle? No chemicals or toxins. It’s a game changer. If I could, I would purchase one for everyone for Christmas. LOL. Real Talk.
Yes, I tried it years ago and while I wanted to love it it just wasn't for me. I get why others do though!
It's made out of plastic so how is it non toxic? I also don't like the idea of keeping a cup of stuff in that was meant to flow out. All that said to each their own.
Update: Because I don't like to just run my mouth I looked it up and it is confirmed that menstrual cups can and have caused toxic shock syndrome...so just be careful that's why I stay way away from tampons.
Cutie Pie. I think you might wanna continue more research. The Diva Cup is not made out of plastic, its a natural silicone. They don’t contain latex, BPA, dye or any other creepy additives. They are also sustainable and eco-friendly. That means that they are not ending up in landfills and oceans. You definitely can’t say that about tampons or pads.
Omg Schmidts is the BEST! I've tried so many natural deodorants and that one is the only one that works for me too. Natural products are so much better than conventional ones, I love hearing people making the switch! :)
Schmidt's is the only natural deodorant that works for me. I use their sensitive skin formula because the regular formula irritates my skin.
I didn't know they had a sensitive skin formula, I'm gonna try it and see how I like it. Thanks!
I didn't know they had that either. The regular formula tortured my armpits. I have found a lemon or lime works pretty well even when working out. Right now I'm using a crystal but the alum content kinda worries me. I've gotten mixed info about it.
I Watched This Video A Few Weeks Back & Then Went To Purchase The Toothpaste You Mentioned Here & I Just Want To Say THANK YOU FOR THE TIP! After 2 Days Of Brushing Twice A Day I Felt & Saw A Difference In The Apperance Of My Teeth. I Could Even Feel Where The Plaque Had Been Lifted/Removed From My Lower Teeth. Thanks Kim💙
I really tried to go all natural with body care but I just couldn’t. Maybe I should try again but I love my Dove and Caress soap with my cocoa butter. I also got majorrrr irritation after trying some natural deodorants. But I am actively on the lookout for natural feminine hygiene products. I’m trying to go vegan as well 😭This video was right on time!
Omg thank you the natural deodorant actually worked! I've been trying for years to find a natural deodorant that would actually work! I hate using deodorant with aluminum in but a work a high stress job with long hours. I've had this for a while now afraid to wear it well today was the day...got up at 4:30am just checked at 6:30pm and literally still smell like roses I'm so excited!!!
Can we get an updated morning & night routine?
Thank you so much for this video. It was so helpful for me as I am doing research on natural products.
I love your hair 💁🏽♀️
Prxncess X me 2
Thanks for the tips!!! I will try the soap! Reach out to those companies for sponsorship...Your awesome!!🔥🔥🔥
I've been looking for a natural deodorant I or less harsh one, have to try it 👍🏽
Philly's Corner I use Lone Deodorant. Been using it for a year now and it’s so good.
Stacey M Schmidt’s is good, but Lone is definitely my favorite!
Girl...you are so motivating for me to do better ❤
So informative! It’s nice to see fresh recommendations of products to try. 💛
I'm glad you mentioned that deodorant. I was given a case of the rose & vanilla about 4 months ago, but I didn't read it and continued to use my Degree. I am shocked to see that it is a natural deodorant and is quite expensive. Thanks for sharing.
I really enjoy your discussion on feminine care! Especially the vinegar bath, I have some lady friends who talk about ACV douches in replace and it never seemed like something for me so i will definitely give the bath go :-)
Also I switched to using a menstrual cup for the past year and my cycle pattern has changed immensely too! Going to look out for those panty liners!!
Another really bullet proof natural deodorant is called "Primal Pit Paste" Ive been through many ineffective ones, but this one is amazing!!! PS: using non toxic products during our cycles does cut the time down for sure!!!
You are absolutely stunning, thanks for sharing your products/tips.
I really like the style your chair is in. Thank you for all of your ideas
I’m in the process of transitioning to nontoxic products as well! If you find hair products with nontoxic, clean ingredients that work for your natural hair please share! I feel like that’s my struggle right now
Yes. I discovered castor oil for my hair and face today! I love it!!
This video came just in time!! Thank you I will be trying these products! ❤️
