As a former catholic, I can say this, the power the devil had over us has its roots in ignorance. None of us ever wanted to read the gospel for ourselves and relied only on what was indoctrinated to us through catechism or through the "priests" during mass. When the true gospel is preached, the veil of ignorance is torn and the light shines through. I and my family were strong Catholics. going for mass doing our regular confession and had a similar perspective as this girl that good works are the key to heaven. We never had any divine encounters, bible reading felt dull and stagnant. But then God gave us the grace to understand the bible through multiple people, as we repented and took baptism God started working in our lives. Our senses of perception increased and just like neo from the matrix we could see the world for what it truly is. We now organize troop churches which are a bunch of believers gathered together in one of the houses and we fellowship there, praising, worshipping, sharing messages, praying over others just like during the acts of the apostles. Every time we pray, we sense the Holy Sp[irit working between us, see visions, heal the sick, prophecy, etc. The bible feels so alive and the Holy Spirit teaches me deep meanings hidden in the verses. I thank God every day for removing us from the filth we were in and giving us this wonderful life.
I also used to be catholic, until I questioned why am I hailing Mary?
After that, I asked God to reveal Himself and I seeker Him and He showed me how wrong catholism is. Thank you Lord for taking me out of religion. I pray for those who are blinded by religion.

For the first 280 years of Christian history, Christianity was banned by the Roman Empire, and Christians were terribly persecuted. This changed after the “conversion” of the Roman Emperor Constantine. Constantine provided religious toleration with the Edict of Milan in AD 313, effectively lifting the ban on Christianity. Later, in AD 325, Constantine called the Council of Niceain an attempt to unify Christianity. Constantine envisioned Christianity as a religion that could unite the Roman Empire, which at that time was beginning to fragment and divide. While this may have seemed to be a positive development for the Christian church, the results were anything but positive. Just as Constantine refused to fully embrace the Christian faith but continued many of his pagan beliefs and practices, so the Christian church that Constantine and his successors promoted progressively became a mixture of true Christianity and Roman paganism.
Following are a few examples:
Most Roman Catholic beliefs and practices regarding Mary are completely absent from the Bible. Where did those beliefs come from? The Roman Catholic view of Mary has far more in common with the Isis mother-goddess religion of Egypt than it does with anything taught in the New Testament. Interestingly, the first hints of Catholic Mariology occur in the writings of Origen, who lived in Alexandria, Egypt, which happened to be the focal point of Isis worship.
The Lord’s Supper being a consumption of the literal body and blood of Jesus is not taught in the Bible. The idea that bread and wine are miraculously transformed into the literal body and blood of Jesus (transubstantiation) is not biblical. However, several ancient pagan religions, including Mithraism, which was very popular in the Roman Empire, had some form of “theophagy” (the eating of one’s god) as a ritualistic practice.
Roman Catholicism has “saints” one can pray to in order to gain a particular blessing. For example, Saint Gianna Beretta Molla is the patron saint of fertility. Francis of Assisi is the patron saint of animals. There are multiple patron saints of healing and comfort. Nowhere is even a hint of this taught in Scripture. Just as the Roman pantheon of gods had a god of love, a god of peace, a god of war, a god of strength, a god of wisdom, etc., so the Catholic Church has a saint who is “in charge” over each of these and many other categories. Many Roman cities had a god specific to the city, and the Catholic Church provided “patron saints” for cities as well.
The idea that the Roman bishop is the vicar of Christ, the supreme leader of the Christian Church, is utterly foreign to the Word of God. The supremacy of the Roman bishop (the papacy) was created with the support of the Roman emperors. While most other bishops (and Christians) resisted the idea of the Roman bishop being supreme, the Roman bishop eventually rose to supremacy, again, due to the power and influence of the Roman emperors. After the western half of the Roman Empire collapsed, the popes took on the title that had previously belonged to the Roman emperors-Pontifex Maximus.
Many more examples could be given. These four should suffice in demonstrating the origin of the Catholic Church. Of course, the Roman Catholic Church denies the pagan origin of its beliefs and practices. The Catholic Church disguises its pagan beliefs under layers of complicated theology and church tradition. Recognizing that many of its beliefs and practices are utterly foreign to Scripture, the Catholic Church is forced to deny the authority and sufficiency of Scripture.
The origin of the Catholic Church is the tragic compromise of Christianity with the pagan religions that surrounded it. Instead of proclaiming the gospel and converting the pagans, the Catholic Church “Christianized” the pagan religions and “paganized” Christianity. By blurring the differences and erasing the distinctions, the Catholic Church made itself attractive to the idolatrous people of the Roman Empire. One result was the Catholic Church becoming the supreme religion in the Roman world for centuries. However, another result was the most dominant form of Christianity apostatizing from the true gospel of Jesus Christ and the true proclamation of God’s Word.
Second Timothy 4:3-4 declares, “For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.”

I was born a Catholic and I became a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 36 years old. When I heard the truth of the gospel on the first occasion I rejected it because I was laden with sin and worries. As I was walking home from hearing the truth then the Holy Spirit comforted me and revealing the gospel. When I arrived home I fell to my feet in repentance and called on Jesus to forgive me and fill me with His Holy Spirit. I had decided to follow Jesus forevermore. God revealed to me that His word was true. I started reading John chapter 14 onwards. I’m now a disciple of Jesus while making other disciples on my journey with Jesus 24/7 I got baptized in the sea with my wife and 10 other believers later

Thank you for always sharing the gospel. It's so important to stand on the Word of God, the final authority, the only inspired and inerrant Word of God! I'm so sorry to say this but Ray's teachings are not the real teachings according to Gospel.
You can check that in the King James Bible ( don't believe me, believe in God's word ).
So, the most important question in this world is: "what must I do to be saved, for eternity"?

So, what must i do to be saved? Only one thing BELIEVE in Jesus Christ!
Put the absolute trust in his works on the Cross. He did everything for us.
He died for all our sins, was burried and resurrected after 3 days.
So we cannot do anything for salvation, because that would be our work if we can do something, anything. Only we can believe because when you believe that's not our work.
That's our decision to chose the right way. We make a choise because we have free will to believe or not to believe in Christ. Kids can understand this, it's too easy to be saved.
So, if you really believe you're saved and you become a child of God.
Simple as that. The eternal life is a gift. You just need to take it. Like a present for your birthday. You cannot earn a gift. It's yours, if you want. If you don't want then guess what God will not force you to go in Heaven without your free will. But, on the other side you cannot enter in Heaven on your way, with works, cause you're a sinner and God is perfectly just judge.
So, it needs to be on his way, through sacrifice of the lamb of God our Savior Jesus Christ.
You cannot lose your salvation. God promised that once you believed you're saved. When you receive your gift that's it it's yours.
You can only lose this life, God can punish you in the body if you do something unjust to others, but all of us will die so that's not related to salvation. If you're not saved then you will die twice and only that can be a real problem.
Ray is always saying you need to REPENT and believe to be saved.
So, that's work + faith for salvation. No! That's not biblical. You just need to believe, and later you will repent automatically, if you really saved. Holy Spirit will testify later.

Yeah it's imporant to recognise your sins i agree, but for example Muslims talk about that every day, and still they're unsaved. They understand almost every invididual sin, they repent every day, they believe in idol God, in Jesus, but wrong Jesus and they're still unsaved.
We cannot stop sinning cause we're flesh in this world. It's imporant to understand that. But when you BELIEVE then you're saved and Holy Spirit will come in you cause you're born again.
If you really born again then you have two persons in you.
The new guy who belongs to Jesus and who will be in Heaven for eternity, and you have an old guy who belongs to Satan.

You cannot stop sinning in general, in this world, because you're still flesh,
but you're not a slave of sin in general cause the new guy belongs to Jesus.
So, for salvation you just need to believe in Lord and Savior Jesus who died for all our sins, was burried and resurrected after 3 days.
That's it. That is a choise. Choise when you decide to follow him and believe in him. Not only ih his sacrifice, but believe in him in general.
We have free will and it's important to make that choise.
To believe or not to believe. To be or not to be. Life or death.
Faith is a choise, not work, not blind faith, faith is choise when you made that decision to follow real God and to go with him in eternity.
That is a moment when you take your gift from God.
Eternal life is a gift and Jesus will let you know that you're saved in this moment. You will know that, and you can enjoy in this moment cause you know where are you going for eternity.
It's imporant to know how to share a Gospel with unsaved persons.
For salvation they only need to believe, to make that choise to follow him.
Later they will repent automatically and later they will understand why is sin bad in general, and they will understand the love of Jesus and they will understand that love can heal everything and when you love others you have justice too.
But if they don't believe they cannot understand that.
And if you say you need to repent + faith that can be more confusion for them.
That's why is sooo imporant to explain just one thing.
Don't be proud, and self-righteous. You're a sinner, you're dying because of that, you need help , you need a Savior. You need unconditional love.
Believe in your Lord and Savior and take your gift. Just take it and enjoy in eternity if you want to live in eternity.

So, there is a place for confession among brothers and sisters (not to a Priest) so that we may come together in honest fellowship and pray. But the only one who may absolve sins is God through Jesus Christs death on the cross and resurrection.

Many people aren’t converted on the spot. That’s the work of the Holy Spirit. What Ray is doing is spreading the Gospel and planting the seed. You also have to remember he is speaking with random people.
Shane, the "pray the sinner's prayer" and you're in.......results in many false converts. At the time of Billy Graham's last "crusade" he admitted that possibly only 1/3 of the "converts" at his crusades had been true converts.

I listen to Alexander Scourby's version of audio Bible, here on youtube. He used to read audio books for the blind. I like his, because there is no distracting music. Only God's Word. I listen all the time, and to have it read out loud like that, really opens up the understanding of it. You will start to notice all of it happening in some way or another today. Another example is 2 Timothy 3. The first time I heard "Lovers of themselves", I instantly thought of selfies. People even 'kiss' themselves. Truly sickening, but so thankful the Word of God prepares us with what will be happening to recognize that we are truly in the Last Days. God Bless you, also.

@martin ramsbottom. So very true. Several years ago I walked out of a church I hadn't missed many sermons for years at. They flipped a switch and even the worship got mixed with rap, people bringing lattes in, and a lady in front of me once was even eating her breakfast. Unbelievable. They still send me text messages to what is coming up and they have begun what many across the country are doing and having summer at the movies. Their movie to preach lessons of the bible from a couple of weeks ago was (drum roll please), Mary Poppins!!! Um...Mary Poppins is witchcraft. I looked on their facebook and they had children posing for picks with Mary Poppins. It's pure demonic, but people aren't even waking up. We know what Jesus would do, popcorn would be flying everywhere. Not even joking. Anymore, if church isn't 'fun and entertaining', no one wants to go. What a demonic world we live in, when God's Word isn't enough. God help us all.
@JASON CHRISTIAN. 100 percent. The devil is really working hard these days, as you can barely see any man or woman without tattoos covering their bodies. It's a blood ritual to the evil one, but many aren't seeing it.

Ray does a wonderful job of explaining things to people in a nice way. He rarely incites violence or anger from people because he shows his compassion and love towards them. That's what Christians are supposed to do. They're not supposed to wear overzealous shirts, hats and clothing while waving a provoking sign around yelling into a megaphone, telling everybody that they're going to hell. That's what a lot of fake UA-cam street preachers do.
That is beautiful Ray.. as you softly bring people to the Truth.
We need thousands like you... who can share the gospel with MUCH grace.
