Great videos man! With 4th ed AoS and Embergard I've been getting into picking my first AoS army (well, armies more likely 😅) and I appreciate these recent rumour videos for helping to know which ranges to wait a bit on and its kinda difficult to find this type of content for the fantasy side of Warhammer.
Thanks very much!! Haha, "armies" sounds about right. The hobbyist's dilemma. I think the AOS ranges are in an incredibly strong place, and there are many factions I *wouldn't* collect if I had the time and money :). Glad it's some help and welcome to the channel!! 🙌
The Nurgle rumor could be a remake of Epidemius, the tallyman of Nurgle which was a resin model discontinued from production the same time Beasts of Chaos were kicked from the online site
Thanks very much!! I do always go to efforts to explain where I'm getting this stuff :). If it doesn't turn up (entirely possible too), at least y'all know there's some rationale behind picking these rumours over other random comments/guesses online 😁
Stoked for a new Nurgle bunch! I love the aesthetic of The Wurmspat but man if they aren't expensive now... Gimme something like the Carnival of Chaos from Mordheim, characterful daemons with a weirdo wizard. Could even get into summonable nurglings!
@KhorgosKhul They sometimes crop up on eBay, but as above... Not super cheap :/. That said I'd hold fire. Sixteen warbands are getting a release to welcome the new edition in :)
It's nice to have come from a place where folk were questioning whether Underworlds still existed to a glut of rumour activity 😁. Here's hoping some of this pans out! 🤞
Are any of the rumours saying when the chaos dwarf warband might be released? I know the greater army of chorfs is said to be coming in 2025, but it would be nice to see that Underworlds tease before this year is done.
No word on when, and whether many internally have a good grasp of when this will be either... Last year's roadmaps went a bit out the window with Warcry's last warband arriving about 6 months after indicated, so I guess it's all up in the air. IF Seraphon and Nurgle arrive as suggested (there's always a chance I've been uttered duped by internet peep shenanigans), there's a stronger chance the Underworlds Dwarfs are coming. But when is another question... On a brighter note, we'll know this soon enough and hopefully have a roadmap to oggle :)
I wouldn't be surprised if there was some sort of Star-borne unit included in the warband - that was of the few things that were new in the AoS Seraphon roster (also given GW's track record with releases over the years, they really don't like giving hobbyist's DIY units)
Underworlds tenda to release warbands in semi-seasons comprising one of each Grand Alliance, and releasing with 4 warbands suggests the same may be the case with this edition. So I'd expect a Destruction and a Death (perhaps Ossiarch, as every other Death faction has as least two warbands) before new Seraphon or Burgle.
It was mention in the forums that the Seraphon warband is being lead by Sunblood Saurus which was the mini the old Gor Rok model was mean to be represent also the three heralds are Chaos dwarfs, Crone heralds daughter of khaine and one more which Nighthaunt never specify which of three options warband it was -kurnothi -Order of Azyr -Gitmob
Interesting... On the Herald front I wonder if it's Gitmob, as they seem to be getting a lot of attention? If the term "Herald" fits though, we'd expect it to be something new for that sub-faction, for which arguably all three have received something representing this previously (with Gitmob being Rippas Snarlfangs). Hmmmm
@@HobbyJackal *If* the third herald warband *is* Gitmob than we should be expect to see the warband to be shown off soon since the Gitmob box from the roadmaps is going to be landing around February-ish like the Kroot box We be seeing the Seraphon+Nurgle warband shown off soon (like maybe this week or the next) so the chances of the gitmob warband got to be shown off in the World Tournament preview (November) or we can cross that option of the choices
@@michaelsantamaria5295 Ohh, good point. :D The scariest thing about all these rumours is how much I love the stuff that's being rumoured... My poor poor wallet.
I do wish that the gloomspite got more spiderfang stuff it sucks that it was supposed to be the fourth type of model in gloomspite but they’re put on the side for gitmob stuff
Well, on the bright side this is still all rumours! We could see a surprise spidery revamp alongside Gitmob. I could be COMPLETELY wrong. Positively, they weren't part of the big AOS cull. If they stay in the next Battletome, that's a brilliant indicator that they're sticking around for future shiny revamp :)
Warboss Kurgan is also a wonderful person and a great Warcry player btw! We've had a game at WHW before and he was a proper gentleman! Speaking of, when are we gonna see you at a Warcry tournament?? ;)

I just need to find a reason to up sticks the family for a few nights in Notts. I hear they have nice caves. Everyone can enjoy that! :D
@@HobbyJackal The Pit Warcry and Southampton Warcry Club run very good events as well, and might be a bit closer! I flew down from Glasgow for the latest Southampton tourney and it was totally worth it!

Anybody else a bit down on Underworlds since the warbands have been taken out of main AoS? I always felt like that was a big part of the value in that system.
The models are still great proxies for characters or unit leaders. I've got 2 Kruleboyz Underworlds warbands combined as an alternative unit of Monsta-killaz
I'm feeling more positive now that they've popped one a piece into the Stormcast books, and still would probably pick up the sculpts for proxies .. to be fair that's where my Zarbag's Gitz live :). It'll be interesting to see if The Embergard and Zikkit's Tunnelpack get PDF AOS rules, as that'd set a precedent for all the new warbands too :)
I am so chuffed for Gloomspite. If they do not come out with a new Gitz mob to replace the old NightGoblins, we riot. They still hold up ok and arent bad models at all, but they really are beginning to look out of place next to the AoS updates they have received.
They are a bit of an outlier, but stronger than many core units... That said, I was kinda surprised the clanrats were updated as I always thought they were okay too (and think those models may be younger than the night gobbos?)
I dont think they would have brought back the 5th(?) Edition Night Goblins for the Old World if they had plans to retire the 7th edition ones anytime soon.
@@HobbyJackal the skinks have held up pretty well that’s true. It’s mostly the old saurus guard and the 1.5 version of the saurus scar vets and old bloods that look a bit jarring next to the pretty new ones. Lizards and dinos! Dinos and lizards! And Fat Granpa! Be still my corroded heart... we don't want to be fossilized before these rumours are realised... 😅🤣
I wish AoS didn’t bring back gitmob. It doesn’t fit the Gloomspite aesthetic and honestly the wolves look so out of place imo. New Troggoths (armored or ranged dedicated), new funny Squigs, more elite Grots, or just updated spider riders I would’ve preferred. Excited to see what Seraphon show up though!
They're a curious one... I both agree and disagree. They definitely don't fit and Gloomspite already has THREE clear visually distinct factions within it, albeit three which fit better into "dank" environs than perhaps the wolf riders do. ...but the nostalgic part of me just loves to see them! Really, a bit like Kruleboyz and Ironjawz, I kinda feel they may make a better separate grot army. But as it looks like the orruks are sticking together, it's even less likely grots would split any time soon....
Wasn't Whitefang behind the completely inaccurate AoS3 rumours (Beasts Vs Gitz box, Cities replaced by all-human Dawnbringers, Chaos Dwarfs etc.). I don't think he has any credibility.
Haha, potentially! This is one of the reasons I'm always lobbing my sources and rationale out there. Good to be open :). I remain a little unclear on *what* Whitefang has got right, but the community certainly hold him/her in high regard. To the extent that, someone who now does have a good track record of correct statements, has named themselves in parody "Whitefang back me up". ...I guess we'll see if any of this makes sense when grots finally arrive... :)
@@HobbyJackal I suspect it's simply a case of being prolific enough to have a high profile. It was someone on a post praising Whitefang, who I'd never heard of, that prompted me to look into it and the debunked AoS 3 rumour pile was the first that came up. My own complete guess on Gitz is that it won't be an expansion of the Gitmob range but a replacement of some of the kits still shared with WFB, as we've seen with other ranges - so new models for the Spider Riders and Fellwater Troggoths, maybe a new Arachnarok - and if we're very lucky finally updating the basic Night Goblin kit.
