For Smith, I think the idea might have been to focus on Trump, and indict the rest of them later.
But as D.A. Willis was in fact doing a RICO case, I just don't know why McDaniels was not charged.
Unfortunately, the Propaganda by the GOP of this being a witch hunt has worked to some extent.
Smith and Willis can go after Trump and his campaign but they had to be careful not to go after the literal RNC head and not make this look too political to the uninformed voter.
It’s unfair but I agree with their strategy. Most people don’t even understand the indictments and they are confusing to the average voter.
