The reason blast furnace is better than the others is bc it charges ur specialist, if ur training tight for example on soe waterfront it consistently kills the whole horde
Which is why I didn’t rank them, because on SOE, Blast Furnace plays a major role in high rounding. But that’s the only map where it truly has that specialist advantage. Sure, The Giant, Verruckt, and Shi No Numa have no dead wire charge for specialist either, but the specialist is the Annihilator so it doesn’t matter much. Only thing that’s different on those maps are powerup drops, which is still up for debate whether Blast Furnace is worth using compared to the others. For some people, it is. For others, it isn’t. Mainly just a preference at that point. But for the majority of maps, it falls short.
I believe fireworks vary so much because its basically spawning a copy of your gun in which its bullet penetration is factored so snipers are gonna be able to punch through multiple zombies while pistols will stop on the 2nd
Phenomenal video. As someone who is still reminiscing abt BO3 and couldn’t care for the newer zombies this is perfect, shocked you don’t have more viewers
Super underrated. I didn't know about drops being map specific also yes, thunderwall on shotguns is so satisfying. I've also heard that the Shieva has a shorter AAT cooldown although that might've just been my friends trolling me. I know some guns have quirks in bo3 like the rpk killing the panzer faster because they forgot to code it's damage reduction. Maybe it's fake, maybe it's not. But I think an interesting video idea would be an overview of the attatchments availible in weapon kits and ranking them least to most useful. Also, what mic do you use?
Shieva: Have not heard anything about a shortened cooldown RPK: Heard about that but have not seen factual evidence that supports it (although it’s probably true) Attachments: Could happen, I’ve got a friend who’s putting scopes on his SMGs so a video like that could happen. Mic: I’m just using my phone lol
The stats really help, best alternative ammo type video by far. Also explaining that fire works work better on rifles, thunderwall on shotguns, all that stuff really helps.
I prefer to use stats to give better info rather than just approximate data. That way we all know exactly what we’re dealing with because lots of stuff gets overlooked.
something also to keep in mind double tap 2.0 lets you use your double PaP abilities more since you get double the chances to proc it thanks to it making you shoot 2 bullets for every 1. Also with turned, it works best as a secondary, like if you had turned and then switched to dead wire for killing, increasing your damage output since the turned lets you cover 2 angles.
I reckon why power ups don't get dropped by dead wire on SoE, The Giant, Verruckt and Shi No Numa is because of the Wunderwaffe existing (And for anyone else who don't know, Wunderwaffe DOES exist on Shadows of Evil, but it cannot be obtained without mods)
I agree with the thunder wall thing completely, in general people forget how useful it is to have a gun that's just a panic button while training or running around the map. It's why I don't particularly like wonder weapons like the Wunderwaffe which kill kinda slowly or inconsistently
Also worth mentioning that blast furnace recharges the sword faster in shadows of evil and deadwire recharges the dg4 faster on every map where it gets an appearance, also deadwire does not give any drops on any map that the Wunderwaffe-dg2 appears, and the reason it doesn't give drops in Shadows is because the DG2 is programmed for the map but never used.
some other mechanics: 112+ snipers stop killing with fireworks. no one uses snipers for fireworks for high rounds anyway because there aren't any good wallbuys for the drakon and that's the only one worth considering, better fire rates and mobility are more important even though snipers technically get more kills on average (pecking order is snipers > lmgs > ar's > smgs > sg > pistol, but really it's just AR supremacy overall). The reason dead wire doesn't give drops on SOE, Giant, Verruckt, and SNN is because the waffe is in the weapon bank in those maps (even though the waffe is unattainable on SOE). This also makes it so dead wire doesn't charge specialists, so dead wire won't charge the sword. In coop there are global cooldowns, where even though the AAT cooldowns are the same as in solo per-player, there is a global cooldown where, after an AAT is used, it can't be used by anyone else until the global cooldown timer is finished counting down. The global cooldowns are as follows: Dead wire - 2s Turned - 8s Fireworks - 10s Blast furnace and thunder wall, 0s each This actually makes thunder wall really good for coop, and fireworks is also really strong since it can be proc'd every 10 seconds with good timing by the players. Me and a friend strat tested and camped through the full round 70 on the catwalk on giant with only AAT's, mainly abusing fireworks timers and making sure our turned procs were good. Dead wire is still really good in coop, but people can get easily annoyed at the other player stealing their dead wire procs. in high rounds: 112+ all AATs break except dead wire and blast furnace. Fireworks follows the "torsos" broken pattern (on some rounds zombies damaged before being affected by fireworks will leave 1 HP torsos, it breaks like the storm bow; on all other rounds, most zombies hit with fireworks will survive as 1 HP torsos) The fling for thunder wall and turned follows the "frozens" broken pattern (on some rounds zombies damaged before being flung will survive as invisibles with 1 HP, it breaks like the ice staff; on all other rounds, all zombies flung will survive as 1 HP invisibles) This is pretty useful because thunder wall and turned can still give a drop and a specialist charge to the player even if the zombie that gets flung survives as a broken zombie, and the broken zombies themselves will also give a drop chance and a specialist charge. This means that on a fully broken "frozen" round, you can get 12 kills toward the specialist from 1 thunder wall fling (or 6 from 1 turned fling). This is why thunder wall is used on SOE for high rounds, because the health is capped on 162 to avoid the instakill bug from bo1 occurring, and 162 happens to be a "frozen" round; this means every round 162+ thunder wall will yield twice the kill count toward the specialist. It can be considered on other specialist maps as well, particularly Revelations, and because it doesn't have a coop cooldown, it's very useful in coop games on all maps. Fireworks, on the other hand, doesn't benefit as much from the torso mechanic, as 162 is not a "torso" round, therefore all rounds 162+ will have very minimal torsos to abuse; it wouldn't even be very abusable anyway, it's more annoying than anything. Can also use this on moon to manipulate drops a bit better, cause thunder wall can give a small amount of kills and then give invisible zombies to kill individually for drop chances. On moon to make the most of your drops, you want them to drop one at a time, so each one can become a max ammo. So getting kills this way is extremely useful.
When making this video I was not aware of the round 112+ stuff with the AATs because I usually end my high rounds at 100 and all the research I did there was no information regarding it. But it’s so interesting to see how things can change in that later part of the game.
The reason for no Power ups from dead wire on those maps is definitely because of the wunderwaffe (just a guess) and just so everyone knows the code for the wunderwaffe is in shadows of evil.
I always loved Fireworks and Blast Furnace. Its a shame this mechanic never came back. Thanks for covering a more niche' theme there. But Thunderwave really is underrated. Its essentially a free Thundergun blast getting you out of a potential zombie gank. Always thought turned was pretty OP, but i disliked it sometimes shoving zombies towards you when its standing around.
This is a really good video! Very informative and the topic is super interesting! I'd say the only info that's missing is which AATs will and which won't charge your specialist. Also, I never realized that Dead Wire makes drops on some maps but not others, I just assumed it couldn't make drops at all. And lastly, I'd say the reason Blast Furnace is so overrated is that when the game originally came out Dead Wire was broken and would only kill a single zombie at a time
1. Thank you 2. Charging specialist will be apart of the video going over special weapons of Bo3 3. Blast Furnace on launch was also ridiculously OP as well as Dead Wire being bad. So that’s another factor to take into account.
The reason many high round players stay away from thunder wall is that once you get to 120+, thunder wall (as well as that thunder wall effect when turned activates) can make invisible zombies more frequently. Also, round 112+, fireworks won’t always kill zombies. Instead, it’ll make instakill floating torsos. This is why most high round games don’t use fireworks or thunder wall past 100. Exception being using Thunderwall on SoE as it charges the sword while dead wire, fireworks, and turned does not!
for they way your describing why you like thunderwall so much, you are just describing the thundergun tbh. But I get it, that;s what the gun imitates. Most wonder weapons are instant killing and clearing space. So since that's your wonder weapons job, you can just use turned. For those that dont know proper use of turned can very greatly speed up your goal to high rounds. A good example would be using ascension spawn only for high rounds. There is a far barrier on the ground level that zombies take time to get to you. You have the thundergun for emergencies and dead wire on your second gun. So you can use the turned to speed your game up by covering farther away spawns that slow down your strategy or basically let you cover 2 angles at once
I've noticed that it seems like Double Tap reduces the cooldown time in AAT's by 1 or 2 seconds. It doesn't seem to work 100% of the time but it's most noticable with Dead Wire, since the time between activations is already so short
Not true and I’ve studied VERY closely. Double Tap from all the research and play testing I’ve done makes the percentage of activation increase, but does not effect the cooldown in any way. Same goes for Lucky Crit.
@@Eazy_P_40A long time ago I had tested the number of shots to activate a PaP upgrade and I had the impression that it could take up to 4 shots to activate (I ended up not testing manually-operated weapons)
I will say a few things you didn’t touch on, another huge positive in blast furnace is it gets you lots of points when I don’t think any others do. Also some guns suck with fire works, like the rift e9 and other guns that don’t shoot regular projectiles, the fireworks miss really badly so I recommend sticking to bullet guns for fireworks. But anyways great video
1. Blast Furnace is decent with points but so are Dead Wire and Thunder Wall, I didn’t touch as much on points in general but yeah, all three of them are solid for points. 2. You’re right on the fireworks on specific guns which is why I talked about them, however, they fall into the same category as the others depending on their class except for the Banshii. The Banshii does not work with Fireworks at all, it’s completely broken. The Rift is about the same as other pistols, and same with the Mauser. ARs, LMGs, Snipers are good with Fireworks. Pistols, SMGs, and Shotguns aren’t very good with Fireworks.
Heyo, long time BO3 player here, who likes digging into my favorite games. I have multiple questions about how AAT's work. Firstly, How do the cooldowns work when you have multiple weapons with alternate ammo types? I feel as though you know much more about this subject than I do, so I wanted to ask you before I spent a while testing it myself. There are two ways that cooldowns could work, and both raise interesting questions: 1. The cooldown is per weapon. If this was true, you could swap between three weapons with different AAT's (with mule kick) to constantly trigger AAT's. 2. The cooldowns somehow effect each other. Maybe activating dead wire on one gun resets the cooldown for the rest of your weapon's AAT's, so they have to recharge again? I also have two more questions: Firstly, when you say that the cooldown is 5 seconds, it doesn't mean that the AAT actually happens every 5 seconds on the dot. What gives? Secondly, I'm also curious about double tap's effect on all this, because people say it reduces the cooldown of AAT's, but I've never noticed a difference. Thank you, and thanks for the great video! Edit: I've been using fireworks on shotguns for multiple thousands of hours...never even considered thunder wall. I feel as though fireworks has a much larger range than thunderwall, even on shotguns, which is why I prefer it. I'll certainly have to give thunderwall a shot though! Oh, and regarding Blast Furnace, Blast Furnace was nerfed multiple months into BO3's life cycle, which is probably why people remember it being much better than it actually is.
1. They work per AAT, so if you have Dead Wire weapon get activated, the cooldown for that AAT will start. If you have another weapon with a different AAT such as Blast Furnace, it’ll be ready from the get go. 2. The cooldown being 5 seconds means it’s available to be used after 5 seconds of waiting after it was previously used (Dead Wire in this case). 3. Double Tap does not reduce the cooldown, it just makes the % of activation increase.
For me, Blast Furnace is my favourite. I can see why people don't like it though. I'd say, if you aren't playing the following maps: Shadows of Evil, The Giant, Verruckt, and Shi no Numa, then just use Dead Wire. Grants XP, kills a ton, insanely short cooldown, and drops Power-Ups. If you are playing one of those 4 maps I go with Blast Furnace.
I stg that fireworks only activates when you headshot a zombie. While blast furnace, turned active more frequently with body shots. Also I personally love fireworks idk why, but it’s my favorite & thunderwall is pretty over hated. They’re probably my favorite since I got to round 60 on moon super easily solo with them. Also the reason why I say fireworks only activates via headshot is because I’ve used it so much.
Not sure if anyone has said this but the maps that deadwire DOES NOT drop power-ups are the maps with the Wunderwaffe-DG2 and then you'll say something like "what about Shadows of Evil" they were going to add it but for some reason they decided not to
Only thing wrong with thunder wall is that your mainly using dead wire right, so you second weapon (not wonder) will be something that you don’t really use like turned as that effect stays longer and you don’t have to keep switching weapons same with fireworks, the reason blast furnace is better than thunderwall is because its a substitute on those 4 maps without drops while thunderwall cant be used in soe because you get too overcrowded taking out 6 zombs at a time.
This P Eazy 40 fella is a very underrated UA-camr, content like this should be hitting the top of the algorithm at all times, sort it out YT. #UA-camIsRigged Anyway thanks for the analysis. I'd like to see maybe some training tricks and tips/high rounding on each of the maps, similar to when you tried to stream you playing solo a while ago, just edited in segments.
All of the maps that dead wire can’t get drops on are the only maps that have the wunderwaffe on them. I wonder if that’s related somehow; I think they reused some of the wunderwaffe code for dead wire, so it would make sense. Edit: I forgot to say that Shadows of Evil does technically have the wunderwaffe on it, but it’s unobtainable without cheats.
Idk why u say fireworks is bad on snipers. It’s honestly the best with snipers because Fireworks only activate per kill instead of per shot. Turned is terrible with snipers tho
Something you didn't mention about turned is it can be useful for killing zombies at the spawn point furthest away from your training spot. Sometimes the spawns outside your line of sight.
Nothing like shooting at a horde of zombies with Thunder Wall, only for the Thunder Wall to activate on the zombie all the way in the back of the horde.
I don’t use it on full hordes unless I’m looking for a powerup drop. The activation on the zombie in the back is usually with non-shotgun weapons which is why I prefer shotguns with thunder wall
I thought Dead Wire was like a D tier because I didn't know they had different cooldowns. I still think I'm gonna use Blast Furnace, Fireworks since those 2 hit the hardest, but I'm not gonna discount Dead Wire nearly as much as I was before anymore.
Great video, I am having trouble finding whether or not there is a damage increase from repacking in BO3. I know you can increase the damage up to four times in BO4, but is there a similar concept in BO3? Or is the damage of your gun capped after the second packapunch and anything after is just a different AAT?
For Training Blast Furnace is quite good because it leaves a lot of drops, far more than the other do!? A combo of Dead Wire and Blast Furnace is "best", with a third weapon i would add Fire Work.
i always wanna get thunderwall but i usually never use shotguns i play de alot and it doesnt allow me to get stuff cause i use mr6 and upgraded bow and i dont get mule
Fireworks on shotguns aren’t the move unfortunately because of the inconsistencies on short range weapons. If you’re using fireworks you’re better off using an AR, LMG, or Sniper due to more consistent, and efficient usage.
Blast Furnace was the best within the first few months of launch where it could consistently kill groups of 24. Dead Wire was awful back then, as in the late rounds, it wouldn't chain to multiple zombies and only got one kill max.
I dont see how fireworks isnt bare minimum top 2 for everyone. Being below turned is insane lol. The only advantage dead wire has is that its cool down is a lot shorter. Fireworks will kill a entire horde as long as theyre in view
@@Eazy_P_40 Dead wire literally makes it harder since you run out of ammo faster. Also you don't get points which is important for setting up. Dead wire is a good get-out-of-jail-free card ever once in a while, but any wonder weapon would be better.
i prefer blast furnace over dead wire mainly bc blast furnace nearly kills an entire horde with 1 activation... dead wire takes multiple but i prefer just 1 activation
I actually think Fireworks is the worst one unless you are max level. The kill from the Firework effect don’t actually count as kills. So you don’t get any XP from the zombies except for the first one and you can’t really level up your guns with it. I was completing the Firework kills challenge again recently and in one game I got 500 Firework kills but since they don’t count as real kills on the score board by round 25 I only had about 300 total kills.
@@Eazy_P_40 The wunderwaffe and dead wire aren't the same, I barely even use it. It's not worth a gun slot because a wallweapon with dead wire can do the same thing with a fuckton of renewable ammo.
@@Euro.Patriot they aren’t the same, but when treyarch programmed the waffe to not drop powerups, it became like that to dead wire weapons on the same maps that the waffe was on.
Blast Furnace isn't overrated it just got severely nerfed. It was absurdly overpowered when the game came out to the point that blast furnace Vesper was considered better than the Servant for high rounds on shadows
I don't think dead wire drops power ups on revelations. Got zero drops during a couple of rounds today. Changed to blast funace and started getting drops immediately
For reassurance, Fire Works has a 20 second cooldown (the info sheet in the video said 25 seconds which is not correct)
Why not in bo4 maybe the fireworks don’t fit the zombies theme should be replaced with like a dark purple Smoke

@@Eazy_P_40 oh good stuff bro. You’re knowledge is crazy

Wasn't expecting to hear Sonic 06 music on a zombies video aha, great choice
Shhh you’re exposing my background music choices 😂
i subbed. hoping for more content like this
Yup, there’s stuff I’ve got planned already for the next couple of weeks.
Very, very good video! I'll definitely have to use these in mind since I don't use Double PaP as much! Thank you.
There are two ways that cooldowns could work, and both raise interesting questions:
@@Eazy_P_40 Thanks for the helpful info :)
Not sure if anyone has said this but the maps that deadwire DOES NOT drop power-ups are the maps with the Wunderwaffe-DG2 and then you'll say something like "what about Shadows of Evil" they were going to add it but for some reason they decided not to
Great video!! Thanks so much for the breakdown!
#UA-camIsRigged
Anyway thanks for the analysis. I'd like to see maybe some training tricks and tips/high rounding on each of the maps, similar to when you tried to stream you playing solo a while ago, just edited in segments.
If I can get streams to work I’d be glad to because it’s lots of fun tbh.
Wow , “camera man” really is invincible lmaoo
3:03 That transition tho 👌
BURIED GAMEPLAY FROM BO2 THATS WHAT I WANT
Good video man hope u have a great week
Ive always loved thunder wall on the haymaker as my always in hand weapon. Defense only. I use turned to thin bad spawns with a wall AR for training
only 90 kids will remember the pre patch blast furnace and dead wire
That intro was brilliant XD
Nice video dude, subscribed👍🏼
Now do the same thing for bo4 ones, because I get so confused with the cooldowns there. Good informative video!
I will at some point but I have other videos planned beforehand
Such a nice video what a beautiful game
That intro made caught me off guard 😂
Great video. Thanks for explaining it well and giving your own personal perspective to bounce off of.
It is because of the waffe
Idk why u say fireworks is bad on snipers. It’s honestly the best with snipers because Fireworks only activate per kill instead of per shot. Turned is terrible with snipers tho
If you get the train super condensed, you can kill 24 zombies, has only happened to me once tho lol
Something you didn't mention about turned is it can be useful for killing zombies at the spawn point furthest away from your training spot. Sometimes the spawns outside your line of sight.
turned is the king ✊
ive been training a lot on DE and Giant and ive got to say i like fireworks a lot. it usually kills like the the entire hoard
the joke in the intro fucking got me. Sub
i always thought dw was useless, great vid!
Deadwire is the best, but honestly, Fire Works is probably my favorite. It just looks so awesome and can destroy an entire area of zombies.
Blast Furnace is better against Panzers. Other than that, Deadwire is my favorite.
I love turned cause it saves me hella ammo at the end of high rounds
0:14
Deadshot : guess who’s back?? Back again? :D
Just found your channel. Great video dude. I'd love to see 2 separate videos for the gobblegums. Megas and classics.
5:10 you also don't get points when it activates.
Nothing like shooting at a horde of zombies with Thunder Wall, only for the Thunder Wall to activate on the zombie all the way in the back of the horde.
I don’t use it on full hordes unless I’m looking for a powerup drop. The activation on the zombie in the back is usually with non-shotgun weapons which is why I prefer shotguns with thunder wall
good shit, would like to see a bo4 one
I thought Dead Wire was like a D tier because I didn't know they had different cooldowns. I still think I'm gonna use Blast Furnace, Fireworks since those 2 hit the hardest, but I'm not gonna discount Dead Wire nearly as much as I was before anymore.
Great video, I am having trouble finding whether or not there is a damage increase from repacking in BO3. I know you can increase the damage up to four times in BO4, but is there a similar concept in BO3? Or is the damage of your gun capped after the second packapunch and anything after is just a different AAT?
In bo3, there is no damage increase from repacking
You should do an elixir ranking for BO4 Zombies please 🙏🏼 🙏🏼 🙏🏼
For Training Blast Furnace is quite good because it leaves a lot of drops, far more than the other do!? A combo of Dead Wire and Blast Furnace is "best", with a third weapon i would add Fire Work.
Fireworks is underrated, idk why nobody uses it
i always wanna get thunderwall but i usually never use shotguns i play de alot and it doesnt allow me to get stuff cause i use mr6 and upgraded bow and i dont get mule
Hey! Just something you forgot, Dead wire & fireworks both have global cooldowns, meaning it can only activate in the map for everyone every x seconds
Wasn’t aware of this, do you have a source?
Good video, I'll give Thunder Wall on shotguns a try next time I play.
good video
Ah the days at launch where dead wire wouldn’t work or would kill 1 zombie, thunder wall was OP and fireworks/blast furnace was the meta
Make one for bo4 aat please. Awesome video
Main weapon blast furnace or dead wire. Blast furnace is amazing early game for points. And for the shoty fireworks or thunder wall
Fireworks on shotguns aren’t the move unfortunately because of the inconsistencies on short range weapons. If you’re using fireworks you’re better off using an AR, LMG, or Sniper due to more consistent, and efficient usage.
Blast furnace got nerfed it used to be my favorite one to use
Blast Furnace was the best within the first few months of launch where it could consistently kill groups of 24. Dead Wire was awful back then, as in the late rounds, it wouldn't chain to multiple zombies and only got one kill max.
Great video
As a casual I'm fully about fire works
I dont see how fireworks isnt bare minimum top 2 for everyone. Being below turned is insane lol. The only advantage dead wire has is that its cool down is a lot shorter. Fireworks will kill a entire horde as long as theyre in view
if you use a mod that uncaps how many zombies that can spawn at a time to like 50, i find it consistently kills a 50 horde
Blast furnace is the only way to go if you want high rounds.
Not at all, Dead Wire is far superior.
@@Eazy_P_40 Dead wire literally makes it harder since you run out of ammo faster. Also you don't get points which is important for setting up. Dead wire is a good get-out-of-jail-free card ever once in a while, but any wonder weapon would be better.
@@momobobo5430 dead wire does give points the same way that blast furnace does
i prefer blast furnace over dead wire mainly bc blast furnace nearly kills an entire horde with 1 activation... dead wire takes multiple but i prefer just 1 activation
If you're doing EE runs:
-Dead Wire
-Fireworks
If you're doing HR runs:
-Dead Wire
-Blast Furnace
If you're Camping:
-Turned
-Fireworks
-or Dead Wire
My List would be
Deadwire
Turret
Blast furnace
Thunder wall
Fireworks
I actually think Fireworks is the worst one unless you are max level. The kill from the Firework effect don’t actually count as kills. So you don’t get any XP from the zombies except for the first one and you can’t really level up your guns with it. I was completing the Firework kills challenge again recently and in one game I got 500 Firework kills but since they don’t count as real kills on the score board by round 25 I only had about 300 total kills.
I looked more into the just the pure performance of them so that’s why I didn’t really take xp into account
more videos please. anything zombies related
I've gotten power ups on Der Riese with dead wire.
Dead wire on wallweapon closest to where you camp and a shotgun with turned.
It’s impossible to receive powerups with dead wire and the wunderwaffe on The Giant. Treyarch made it specifically like that in development.
@@Eazy_P_40 I remember getting drops.
Do AAT’s contribute to special zombie and boss DPS? Like would fire works on a brecci affect the time it would take to kill a panzer?
Unsure, I’ve heard it does but never found any real evidence
Great vid, maybe wonder weapons ranking next??
Will happen eventually but I got some other things that are already being worked on
Blast Furnace isn't overrated it just got severely nerfed. It was absurdly overpowered when the game came out to the point that blast furnace Vesper was considered better than the Servant for high rounds on shadows
I’m not talking about pre-patch versions, I’m talking about current versions
I don't think dead wire drops power ups on revelations. Got zero drops during a couple of rounds today. Changed to blast funace and started getting drops immediately
Dead Wire actually does make drops on Revelations
@@Eazy_P_40 ok, I'll try later
