Thank you! I just watched all your baby basics videos and they were very informative. I do wish the links included opened in regular UA-cam app format. I just had to search each video individually.
Thank you so much for this simple and easy to understand explanation. I was worried about introducing yogurt to my 8 month old granddaughter. I am a new subscriber and love your site!
My baby is constipated . She is 7 months old . I will try yoghurt . It's got good bacteria helpful for gut. I don't wanna visit the doctor for every single ailment and make her dependent on medication. Thanks your comment gave me encouragement.
As an infant. My family owned a dairy. In the 50s, all us babies were raise on a formula of whole milk and Karol syrup. We all survived. Commercial formula? Can't imagine. I would think you'd ask your doctor.
Hi! I totally understand your point, my recommendations are based on recent studies on babies that my pediatrician suggested me knowing how passionate I am about baby food & health and that you can find on the American Pediatric Association website. There is also a wonderful section on the Canadian Pediatric Association and Canadian Health Department about when/how to introduce solids (and dairy) in a baby's diet. Thank you so much for watching BuonaPappa!! ciao, b
Hi BuonaPappa very helpful video. What kind of yogurt would u recommend ? The normal kind of yogurt I would buy for myself or baby yogurt ? Also does it have to be plain or can it be flavored ?
What about butter? Would it be alright for me to put a little bit of butter on a sweet potato I am going to roast? Or should I hold off until a certain age for that?
+Amanda Arce Hi! Butter is a dairy product and your little one might be sensitive to dairy up until 12 months. I'm not against butter, but I think it is not necessary to a baby's diet as from a nutritional point of view it only contains fats. I would wait up until 1 year. If you want to give more taste to the sweet potato why don't you sprinkle few drops of Extra Virgin Oil of Olive on top. Still a source of good fats (babies need fats to grow!!), but 100% natural, not dairy and not processed.Ciao!!! b
Animal fats in your diet = inflammation of your vessels = high cholesterol and clogged vessels = erectile disfunction, hearth diseases and many more... Number one killer in USA
Pasteurized means that the cheese has been made with a process that cooks/boils he milk, thus making the product safe for consumption and improving its keeping quality. Avocado. yes, it's an amazing first food for babies: easy to digest and rich in Omega 3 fatty acids (they help the brain development). Thanks for watching!! b
Hi! good question. I gave my babies cold yogurt since they were 6 months. It's ok to give it cold. Do not warm it or the good probiotic bacteria will die. Suggestion. Place the yogurt amount that you need in a cup and remove from the fridge 5 min before serving it: the temperature will increase enough not to be super cold! Thank you so much for watching!! ciao, b
Hi! considering his young age I would start with easy to digest and delicate cheeses like ricotta, cottage cheese, cream cheese and, for more taste, aged cheeses like Parmesan, Fontina, Pecorino, Asiago, Gouda, Cheddar, Machego. My recommendation is to buy a good quality cheese, check for the ingredients. I usually buy my cheese from the Deli department and not in the packaged food one. I hope I was helpful! ciao and thank you for watching BuonaPappa!!
Hi! Yes, in the process of making cheese there is some salt added. The suggestion is to choose cheeses with low sodium content (ricotta, cottage, fontina..) or to use cheeses high in sodium (Parmesan) with moderation (I only add a bit for the whole recipe). Some cheeses are not recommended for little ones up until 12monhts like Feta cheese as they are too high in sodium. I hope I was useful. Thank you for watching!! B
@@Buonapappa thanks For your suggestion. My baby is 9 months old and breastfeeding.I only gave him a very little amount of cream cheese once from our meal and he loved it. I was just concern about the salt. I’m glad that you replied 💖
Mam I m from India .... today first time I Watch your vedio and its very useful and informative , mam I have a question my baby is not taking formula he was taking mother feed from last 10 months but now it's not appropriate for him so which kind of milk should we use for him. Whenever I give cheese to him he starts vomit
Hi! welcome to BuonaPappa. The recommendation is to give either baby formula or breastmilk up until 12 months. You can introduce cow's milk after 12 months. Yogurt and cheese can be given starting from 6 months of age. Why don't you try some delicate 6 months baby foods and see if he likes them? Here some ideas ua-cam.com/play/PL9B6ikaZmAO-8-8tFQyR4qKyMyB8bQ17-.html
Hallo dir.. Wie geht's? My question is which cheese and Joghurt we should give to baby in 7 month .. home Made or from market if market the pls suggest the names of them .. Tschüss
Hi Nancy!! The very first cheeses should be easy to digest and delicate in flavor like ricotta, cottage cheese, cream cheese, robiola and, for more taste, aged cheeses like Parmesan, Grana Padano,Fontina, Pecorino, Asiago, Gouda, Cheddar, Machego. I suggest to buy a good quality cheese, made with organic milk. I usually buy my cheese from the Deli department at the grocery store (I really like Trader Joe's). Always check the ingredients list and try to buy the less processed one. At the farmer's market there are also amazing cheese vendors!! I hope I was helpful. ciao, b
Hi! I really like Green Plain Yogurt from organic milk (no hormones, no antibiotics). I like the plain one and than I add some natural sweetener like honey (for babies older than 12 months) or dates syrup or fresh fruit (a mashed banana is sweeter than sugar!!). Yes, you can give flavored yogurts but they are loaded with added sugars :-( Check for the one with a minimum amount of added sugar. I hope I was helpful!! Ciao, b
you are so sweet talking i m mom my baby 8th month old he is nursing and what kind of milk use good for my baby healthy pls tell me and cheese good for baby thxs
HI! as your baby is younger than 1 yr I would suggest to use coconut/cashew/almond milk for cooking his baby food (not as breasmilk/formula substitution, simply for cooking). OR you can use breastmilk of formula milk for cooking too if you have abundance. As first cheeses for babies I would suggest: ricotta, cottage cheese, mild flavor pasteurized cheeses or aged cheeses like Parmesan, Pecorino, Gouda, Manchego. I hope I was helpful, ciao! b
HI! sure, you can start giving yogurt and aged cheeses from 6 months of age. During the production of yogurt and cheese (culturing) the milk proteins are reduced or even eliminated. That’s why a baby’s digestive system can easily process both yogurt and cheese. If you want to know more about when to introduce dairy in your baby's diet, check this post: www.buonapappa.net/when-to-introduce-dairy-in-your-babys-diet/ Ciao and thank you for watching BuonaPappa!! b
Yogurt has healthy good bacteria that help the gut and digestive system. Also, yogurt is useful for brain development as it makes brain cells more "flexible". I would suggest plain yogurt with a teaspoon of local honey to sweeten it. Flavored yogurts are loved by kids as they are loaded with added sugars. I usually prefer plain yogurt and I add honey and fresh fruit. I like greek yogurt as it's very creamy. If your son doesn't have any allergy try one variety and see what he likes the most! I hope I was helpful, thank you for watching!!! ciao, b
Thanks for reply .in winters four months before my son thoart is too much disturb because of viral and fever is come so I don't give Jung and oily food even I don't give citrus fruits also .now summers starts im confused I can I give yougrt ? Which yougrt is better Greek or plain plz give me ans my English is not good I hope u understand what I mean
Hi Sana! I would suggest giving him yogurt, good bacterias are always welcome :-) I like plain yogurt (either Greek or regular one) as it doesn't contain added sugars. You can sweeten the yogurt with local honey that will also help his throat. For an extra dose of probiotics you can also offer him plain kefir (with honey too to sweeten). I hope I was helpful!! ciao, b
The block cheese can be considered as a gouda/fontina cheese and can be introduced before 12 months. I only suggest to check the ingredients of the block cheese to check if it is a good quality one. ciao! b
Hi! here you are a post about giving eggs to babies. www.buonapappa.net/steamed-frittata-when-to-introduce-eggs/ Let me know if you have any more questions and have fun cooking!!! ciao, b
Hi! You can use either breastmilk or baby formula or coconut milk to cook your baby food. For the cheese I would suggest any company that makes cheese with certified organic milk. It's the only way to be sure that the milk/cheese doesn't contain hormones/antibiotic. I live in Southern California and I trust Trader Joe's products. I always check the labels and the ingredients of the cheeses that I buy. Also, I really like the local cheese vendors at the Farmers' Market :-) I hope I was helpful!! ciao and thank you for watching! b
Hi, I love your videos, you have given me a number of great ideas, and questions to my pediatrician(jk)...My baby was first diagnosed with a premature intestine, and no formula milk would work for him, in the beginning my breast milk was very strong in his tummy, after a while it worked, and after the first meals, everything started to work,(his premature intestine switched to a lazy digestion..) and he is no longer experiencing the same trouble. My question would be if you recommend introducing him to yogurt, milk and cheese? he is 7 months old, the reason I'm asking, is because the pediatrician indicated to start using protein, stews and beans, which I found more strong then dairy products. thank you in advance, and have a great day....
Hi my dear! so sorry to hear all the trouble you have been through with your little one. There is nothing worse than seeing your baby not feeling well. I'm glad things are getting slowly better. yes, starting from 7 months of age proteins are essential in your baby's diet. They represent the bricks of his body...and he needs to build a strong and big one! That being said, some proteins are easier to digest than other ones. Yes, you can give yogurt and some cheeses. No to regular milk up until 12 months (too difficult to digest). I would not suggest Greek yogurt, too heavy. Try with a low fat yogurt. And, as for any other new food, follow the 3 days rule. Offer him few teaspoons of yogurt, see if he likes it and wait 3 days before adding any other new food in his diet. If his intestine will not tolerate yogurt you will see and you will know that the reason is yogurt and nothing else. Cheese. a light one like ricotta or cottage cheese might be a good start. You can also offer him eggs, a lovely source of protein. I hope I was helpful and thank you so much for following BuonaPappa!! ciao, b
Hello mam .. i m from india .. my question is .. can i give dairy product like cottage cheez ,butter, prossed cheez, curd.to my 8 months baby ... on" daily basis"
Hi! good question! I would not offer dairy products on a daily basis, I would recommend three times a week max or every other day. There are so many non dairy options you can pick up from. I think that a balanced and diverse diet will be more nutritious :-) I hope I was helpful, thank you so much for watching!! ciao, b
Hi! yes, cow's milk can be introduced at 12 months of age, when the baby's intestine is developed enough to digest it. For kids I usually recommend whole milk, not skimmed. Kids need fats too to grown healthy. Ciao! b
you talk so sweet and thank u for this informative video...It is really helpful....and one question.... how long I can store cow milk once i boiled it...
Hi! I always suggest to use fresh ingredients when you cook for your baby but I understand that sometimes it is not easy. Frozen chicken can be used, just check the quality of the chicken (organic, grass fed, no hormones, no antibiotics is better) and remember that you cannot freeze any baby food leftovers if you have, as you cannot freeze the same food twice. I hope I was helpful, ciao b
Very informative about how to make your child sick or dead - giving her/him cows milk with hormones which raising risk of many cancers in humans and can cause problems with fertility...so more milk = more cancer and less grandchildren
Hello my dear! I checked the ingredients for amul cheese and it's a bit too processed for a little baby. I would suggest less processed cheeses like cottage cheese or ricotta or cream cheese that you can also make at home in few steps. ua-cam.com/video/QQOdv0kWVMk/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/8Ejz3_lDTRA/v-deo.html Let me know if you have any question! ciao, b
Very Informative Video. Thanks a ton. I am from India and just shifted to US, so bit unaware of the good brands available here. I bought 'Heinen's Organic Mild Cheddar'( Shredded Cheese) for 15months old twins. As I can see it contents are 'pasteurised organic milk, salt, cultures, cellulose (total chlorine free)' , will this be safe for babies ? And as I will be introducing cheese first time to them, could u plz suggest in what ways ( on toast, egg, etc) I can give them ? TIA.
Hello! From the ingredients you listed it seems that the cheese you bought is appropriate for babies. I also like aged Parmesan cheese for little one (any aged cheese is easier to digest) and ricotta. How to cook them? You have many options: you can add the cheese in an egg frittata, or on top of the pasta. You can also add cheese in the meatballs or...easy way, in a cheese sandwich or spread on a multigrain toast. I hope I was helpful!! ciao, b
Hi! yes, using cow milk as an ingredient for your baby food is fine, as you are going to cook it, making it more digestible. Or you can use alternative kinds of milk (coconut, almond, rice), easier to digest. Ciao! b

I hope I was helpful!!! Let me know should you have more questions!! ciao, b
+Florine Madhura Hi! Sincerely I would not recommend it. I would suggest less processed cheeses. I checked the ingredients list of their basic cheese and contains added sugar (not recommended for babies) and the quality of the cheeses mix that they use is not the top ;-) Ciao!! b
Hi! cheese can be offered starting from 6 months of age. Pasteurized. So, yes, Cheddar cheese is fine for a 8 month baby. Sorry if I was not clear in the video, Thank you for watching! B
cheng seng tan Hi! Yes, after 12 months. Goat milk is easier to digest compared to cow's milk and contains lower levels of lactose. Indeed, it is still an animal milk, that means that the animal milk proteins cannot be properly digested by a baby's digestive system (under 12 months). Also, like cow's milk, the amount of sodium, potassium and chloride contained in animal milk can harm your baby's kidneys. I hope I was helpful! ciao, b

Hi my dear! so sorry to hear all the trouble you have been through with your little one. I hope I was helpful and thank you so much for following BuonaPappa!! ciao, b

I hope I was helpful, ciao b
thanks

Can give cheddar cheese to 8 month old?
Love your accent
Thank you!! 100% Italian :-)
Very informative.😘
thanks!!
Very informative about how to make your child sick or dead - giving her/him cows milk with hormones which raising risk of many cancers in humans and can cause problems with fertility...so more milk = more cancer and less grandchildren
Mam I am from India amul cheese is gud for babies?
Hello my dear! I checked the ingredients for amul cheese and it's a bit too processed for a little baby. I would suggest less processed cheeses like cottage cheese or ricotta or cream cheese that you can also make at home in few steps.

Which cheese can I give to my baby
I would start with easy to digest cheeses like ricotta or cottage cheese and mild flavor ones.
I hope I was helpful!! ciao, b
@@Buonapappa thanks a lot.
I m giving them with egg n toast right now.
Have bought pastina, will try on it too.
That was really helpful, tks!!!
plss which type of cheez and yoghurt are good for 6months baby
The very first cheeses should be easy to digest and delicate in flavor like ricotta, cottage cheese, cream cheese, robiola and, for more taste, aged cheeses like Parmesan, Grana Padano,Fontina, Pecorino, Asiago, Gouda, Cheddar, Machego.
I suggest to buy a good quality cheese, made with organic milk. I usually buy my cheese from the Deli department and not in the packaged food one. At the farmer's market there are also amazing cheese vendors!! ciao, b
Can i give pudding to my baby using cowmilk?
Hi! yes, using cow milk as an ingredient for your baby food is fine, as you are going to cook it, making it more digestible.
Or you can use alternative kinds of milk (coconut, almond, rice), easier to digest. Ciao! b
Can we give cheese everyday
Hi! It will not hurt but I always suggest a diversified diet with a rotation of protein every day (fish, egg, poultry, meat, cheese...) Ciao, b
I'm cooking baby meals

Which yogurt and cheese can give to baby???
The very first cheeses should be easy to digest and delicate in flavor like ricotta, cottage cheese, cream cheese, robiola and, for more taste, aged cheeses like Parmesan, Grana Padano,Fontina, Pecorino, Asiago, Gouda, Cheddar, Manchego. I suggest to buy a good quality cheese, made with organic milk. I usually buy my cheese from the Deli department and not in the packaged food one. At the farmer's market there are also amazing cheese vendors!! I would wait to give blue cheese/gorgonzola and camembert or brie up until 2yrs as very often these cheeses are not cultured (made from raw milk) as they might contain bacterias too strong for a delicate young digestive system. I hope I was helpful!!! Let me know should you have more questions!! ciao, b
Plant based... otherwise it is very unhealthy for humans
is laughing cow cheese is good for baby?
+Florine Madhura Hi! Sincerely I would not recommend it. I would suggest less processed cheeses. I checked the ingredients list of their basic cheese and contains added sugar (not recommended for babies) and the quality of the cheeses mix that they use is not the top ;-) Ciao!! b
CAN I GIVE MY 8M BABY adams company CHEDDAR CHEESE? he loved once i gave him now i am cofused to give ?
Hi! cheese can be offered starting from 6 months of age. Pasteurized. So, yes, Cheddar cheese is fine for a 8 month baby. Sorry if I was not clear in the video, Thank you for watching! B
I always breastfeed my children for 2 years best for babies
Can I give my baby goat milk
cheng seng tan Hi! I hope I was helpful! ciao, b
but in India the people are preferably cow's milk alone
Hi! I totally understand.
