This looks like India is an emerging musical creative world power. This is what happens when trained classical artistes, including virtuosos, take on Western rock instruments (along with carnatic instruments) and interpret all the Indian classical works! Wow! It was coming when L. Shankar and L. Subrmaniam began this exploration together with the firstr waves of Western rock and jazz (and many sub-genres in-between). After a long gap (punctuated by people like Indian Ocean, Colonial Cousins, Vedic Chant), a wholly new generation in the 21st century is just exploding in creativity down the path trod by that first generation of fusion. Am blowing my mind. At age 66 yrs, I am hearing things I only fantasized about when I saw the trends in my youth.
