Miami Vice came on NBC Friday nights at 10 pm. Great show. I loved watching it back then. The 80s were all about pastel colors, neutral grays, neon lights. Women were fit and toned. Nautilus was in, gym memberships soared and cocaine was king. Video arcades were a blast. Glad I got to live through the 80s as a teen. Class of '86.

Television really came into its own, neon color was like invented (or at least they started to do everything in neon, clothes, caps, shoes) Music went synth, dancing moves were fun, wearing shades wherever you went was cool, the hairstyle LOL OMG the hair. Hi Stevie, I was lucky enough to come into this world in 1971, and so I could experience the 80's magic. If I compare this decade with the current one, well...: I remember the bulk of people were by far cooler and softer with their next beings that they are today (not only in my country, France, but also in the United States, where I travelled 2 times in the 80's, and then more recently, what a difference !...), the hairstyle and clothing were both casual and inventive, and the musics were greatly melodic, with a lot of groups using the synths as genius (Scorpion, Genesis, Depeche Mode, Vangelis, Europe, Simple Minds, and so many others !). But thanks to the #NewRetroWave / #Synthwave / #RetroElectro artists there is now kind of a revival of that great vibe. So in spite of being born later, you can enjoy the best of that special vibe ! -:)) Enjoy and cheers from France

I remember once when a girl i worked with asked me what kinda music I was into, and when I played this song for her and that part came up, she laughed at me. Screw her. The 80s were a time for me to dream as a kid. I didn't know so much that is dark in this world and I think America was a lot happier back then. I think everyone dreamed about space travel and other amazing things that were ahead for us. Its just to bad war and politics messed things up. We could of landed on mars by now and possibly had better ways with treating our earth. Thanks for this track. It makes me happy. :)
