I drove exactly the same route 17 years ago! It was my very first visit to the US and the landscape left me quite impressed. We made a bigger roundtrip through California, Nevada and Arizona. I still have some very fond memories from that time and returned a few times in the last years. Thank you so much for bringing this back with your amazing videos. Greetings from Germany
Nothing beats spending time moving around with different places with you. Really appreciate all the time that you've put into making these videos and sharing it with everyone! Thank you!
Always astonished by this gorgeous sceneries , I really appreciate the great work u do and the effort ur pouring into it to put us in this real-time trips you are doing.
Oh yes the Kingsbury Grade..... I remember my dad having to stop and adjust the carburetor on our 1970 Chevrolet Impala so we could get up that steep grade. Loved our trips through the high desert and into the Sierras. I have many photos of Lake Tahoe but haven't been back there in 30 years (!) Thank you again for memory lane and the work that goes into doing this presentation.
A friend lives in Carson City and he once slowed me the Kingsbury Grade. It is definitely much faster than taking highway 50 in to South Tahoe from CC. However, it is much steeper and tighter than it appears on the video. I've always wondered how tricky driving that stretch or road is winter snow on it. Especially in the downward direction!
Very nice ride, thanks for posting this drive. I honestly need to stop building a favorites list with all the drives you post. Makes no sense, because I love all of them. Since you do them without any comment and music, just the driving sound they all are great. The states are breathtakingly beautiful and your routes are all on my trip planning list. It will probably take my lifetime to drive them all once I make it over to you. The region around Lake Tahoe is just a dream. I have relatives just north of the Tahoe Lake in Floriston/CA up on the I80. I hope I can visit them anytime soon. Thanks again and always safe travels. Looking forward to the complete Lake Tahoe drive. Greetings from Switzerland.
Back in the earlier decades of 80’s there were several areas on these narrow cliff roads without any bumper rails at all. I came down Hwy 50 from LA all the way 8 hour drive!
This is really a sc enic area 🤩⭐ I hope that I can also drive there sometime. Thanks for the video with these great impressions 👍 Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭😀
Definitely. I spent a lot of time around there ... lived in the Sacramento Valley in California for a few years after my family moved from Southern California 500 miles (800km) north to Chico CA, about a 3 1/2 hour drive from Lake Tahoe. Tahoe is the gem of the Sierras indeed. I've been all over North America (USA, Canada, Mexico) and I haven't even hardly gotten started. Haven't seen Alaska, Hawaii, the vast majority of Canada or Mexico, and I'd say I've missed seeing a large percentage of the USA. This continent is a truly stunning one, with every climate from tropics to tundra and landforms from hot deserts to high mountains and everything in between. "Travel the world! Why don't you Americans go anywhere but the US?" "I've been to Canada and Mexico!" "But...other places...." "Yes, I'll get to them when I'm done exploring my backyard. At this rate I will be ready to travel overseas about 2093." 😆

Which month did you take this video? Thank you, beautiful.
This drive was filmed in the month of May
Is there dangerous (snowing and ice in the road) for driving in May on those paths I drove? @@AdventureEveryDay
When was this filmed?
This drive was filmed in mid-May
How long does it take for you to upload your 4K - 50 minutes video? I tried that before and it took several days for the video to be fully loaded.
All depends on your internet speeds and how large your file sizes are.
It's an amazing scenery and very nice video footage. Which camera do you use?
