What a voice, what a personality, what a man, he is phenomenal. Notice how he keeps the mic down a lot lower towards his chest rather then his mouth. That’s how powerful his voice is and doesn’t wanna over power Lisa’s to much
Elvis used to do the same. For example, when he sang American Trilogy & You Gave Me a Mountain (From Aloha From Hawaii) look how far away the microphone is from his mouth. John does the exact same thing! The fact that the microphone is so far away from the mouth, is a testament to the raw power of their voice!!
What I love about John is the fact that what you see is what you get. No pretentious BS. A man with a natural talent and a loyal person to his fans and sadly a great mate he lost. At the end of the day his love for his wife and his boys is the back bone and always will be.
You’re absolutely right. He is humble and generous, never arrogant or self centred. This is a beautiful song.
John's vocal range is incredible. like ... you could give me free tutoring from the worlds best vocalist, but I will still never be able to reach that range, it's a physical impossibility. So, John "The Voice" Farnham really is one of Mother Nature's best rolls of the dice

He loves to have fun on stage, he's not just a singer he's an entertainer. This song just shows that Mr Farnham can sing anything and Lisa complements him beautifully. He has a unique, one of a kind voice give him the telephone book and he will nail that as well.
Pure talent,John has never had singing lessons or coaching,and smoked for many years,he is just absolutely brilliant.
I have been to many, many farnham concerts, and without exception, he always makes his audience feel special, part of his family. He is humble, a bit of a clown and in love with life. He always lifts you up .
Hey Big Guy - thank you for doing this one. Not only does it show John's playful sense of humour but also features a stripped-back ensemble and the lovely Lisa Edwards. Lisa has been with John for eons. Notice how she phrases the unison in the verse precisely - slightly behind the beat - with John and then soars into the harmony on the second chorus. Magic.
He has an incredible voice , and he's an incredible human being .
Lisa is his back up singers and he does let his band and back up singers shine he doesn't just hog the lime light just for himself.
This is why JF's concerts are so phenomenal. Not just a mind blowing voice but a great entertainer.🥰
Yeah John Farnham is probably about the most humble and down to earth famous guy you could meet! The type of guy you could just have a casual conversation over a beer with. He’d probably not only be down with it, but suggest it. True Aussie legend.

It always amazes me how he switches between mucking around to delivering a beautiful line then back to being silly. Also how Lisa holds it together, there is a clip of her getting John back!
You are now getting good insight into John Farnham and his music. Yes, he does exude joy when performing. Joy is a quality of the Soul or Higher Self. I believe John is quite spiritually attuned, and I'm not meaning religious, here. He does emit "wholesome love", as you expressed. I believe his Soul purpose mission in this lifetime is to do that through his singing performance. He is humble and appreciates and gives credit to his musicians and backing vocalists, such as the lovely Lisa Edwards, in this song. She has been singing with him for a long time.
You can see why he is loved so much in Australia , his concerts take you from tears to laughter and every emotion in between.Please keep them coming just love them.
Look at where he holds the microphone - he is simply the greatest. Lisa compliments his voice beautifully. She is an amazing singer too. But John, he is without peer and a beautiful, generous soul.

Lisa Edwards, is no pushover as far as a singer goes, but she, as most people, cannot compete with John. I am sure he was born with 2 sets of lungs. They both did a beautiful job with this live performance

John's manager and his very dear and close friend of many years
( Glenn Wheatley) passed away very recently with COVID complications.
I wonder iff we'll hear or see him again, he and his family are devestated by his passing and they are supporting his family.
Time will tell.

Please believe that all is forgiven! I love watching your gorgeous expressive face. I think you nailed it when you said "He exudes joy". I'm catching up with your posts, and not just JF. I have sons to whom I introduced music and theatre at a young age, and they share with me their musical journey, which I consider a great privilege. I look forward to sharing yours. Music is constantly evolving and we should evolve with it.
Past 700 subs already, that was fast Congrats! There's a big audience down here in Australia, I think if you branch out into a few more Aussie artist you'll see even more growth. Looking forward to Jimmy and some Cold Chisel.
Mr. John Farnham NEVER EVER disappoints you. It only gets incredibly better each time you hear him sing, you will see that in all his performances. His band and the members of it are his closest friends. He has said that numerous times at the concerts I went too. He always tells his fans that he appreciates us and to keep safe. He’s a true Gentleman. Now you know why we ❤️ him so much.
With a voice like his, he has nothing at all to prove.

I saw John say in an interview that he likes the cuddle his audience . He just has the most wonderful , warm personality ever.
He sang with Olivia Newton John on a duet during the opening ceremony. An American accused him of lip sinking as he held the mike down so low. He has his mike tuned a certain way because his voice carries so far. Not many singers can do with their voice what he can. That's shear talent.
You are correct.. John in another lifetime could have been a comedian.. I met him once on a jetty in Queensland after his yacht had broken down, he came out for a chat.. Such a humble guy & very funny.. Out of respect we didn't ask for a photo but i bet he still remembers that chat.. I wont say why but it was a funny hour or so haha..
HeavyMP, you are one of very few reviewers who watch him and not look at the camera. You never take your eyes off of him, and I don’t blame you lol 😊. But I love your honest, not overdone looks for attention when watching John, as a few do. Your watching and listening from your heart💞. Gotta find you more John comedy, he’s nuts lol. Mother in law jokes and all. He loved her, and she loved the jokes. His interviews are funny too, he just can’t help having fun lol.

Hi mike. You must listen to John singing when the war is over 2003. Also a must watch is an older jimmy barnes and joe bonamassa doing stone cold. Also you should look at jimmy Barnes’s daughter Mahalia barns and joe bonamassa doing riding with kings. Mahal ya man really sing.
Hey hey how are ya buddy? So I love your reactions n thought I’d give you a bit of low down with farnsy. John was actually the keee singer of little river band which you may know they are American he took over the original lead singer you can check out the lrb version of reminiscing if you’d like. Johns version of help was actually the way John Lennon wanted it and Lennon actually said that himself but the recording company wanted it poppy.
Farnsy is actually a plumber by trade besides singer and he’s done plumbing though out his singing career as he loves his plumbing n even today I believe he still does plumbing as well as singing.
Queen, when Freddy past, as some point they actually wanted John to become the lead singer for queen as they and John especially Brian are very good friends they spoke about it but whatever they said was whatever they said n of course got who they have know.
Now this will excite you, queen, the fire fight concert that you watched your the voice from, the reason Brian was there is because queen also performed at the concert, now, here’s where you’ll get really excited, Fox and my9 or which your form of my network tv is they put on a highlights special of the concert but they didn’t air the queen part to which I think queen wanted to realese it on there you tube channel. Now ready??? What queen did at the fire fight concert was they reprised the band aid performance sooooo I’d love for ya to check that out and react to it when ya can tho I think you’ll react to it pretty fast lol.
But yeah, John is the voice and he is one of the most down ti earth guys. He has and does sit ina pub having a beer with ppl.

Oh p.s, with your the voice, back then mtv wouldn’t actually play the music video as it was about the war and other things but mostly cause of the war. He did step into the American market with lrb but after that he did say no to the American market n also the American market was a lot closed of to other countries back in the day especially australia it’s only been in about the last maybe 20 years that the American music market lord opened up to other countries
