I wasn’t able to resolve the issue using this video. What actually helped is to choose the second option to manually search for drivers in the laptop and install it again.
Just thought I would post my experience. I have the E5-575G and I tried reboot, driver re-install and letting the battery completely die. I used an external USB keyboard and launched the command prompt as an administrator. I ran sfc/scannow at the command prompt. When the verification finished it told me no integrity violations were found, but then my keyboard started working fine. The other thing to note is that my power key would work, but no other keys worked.

Ok so I literally tried everything to get the keyboard to work again on the internet and nothing would. What I did was let the laptop completely die and restarted and it worked. Was just something I wanted to try since literally every 5 videos I watched about system settings to uninstall predator sense did not work. I played a HD video on you tube so my laptop died faster. So grateful I decided to experiment. Hope it helps who ever has done everything and nothing has worked .

(Code 10) {Device Timeout} The specified I/O operation on %hs was not completed before the time-out period expired. i also tried using a system restore point, took it back 2 weeks and it worked. HOWEVER on turning my laptop the next day at the login page i was unable to type.
My trash of a laptop decided to do the blue screen when Im working on my school stuff and my keyboard is working but the keys on the left side are not working specifically W S X keys and further to the left
Absolutely nothing works. I've tried every software and hardware route I researched from various sources and the keyboard still doesn't function. The ironic part is that I use an external keyboard and barely even touched the built in one. My next laptop definitely will NOT be an Acer.

i have a problem on my brightness. When i plug my charger to the laptop, it is fully bright, and if i un plug the charger, it darkened a bit im using acer swift 3
