Where have I been, all those years, during my life in Austria (even born in Tirol)? Never too late to learn though, isn't it? I am very glad to have discovered this remarkable composer ... Thank You for this wonderful performance ... and, hello from Canada!
Thanks, John! There is another CD from the same museum with his Symphony in F Major. I have it at home somewhere, but I need more information on the work before I could post it.
Why have I to get 81, listened whole my life to classic music and than discover a marvellous composer whose name I never heard? Not my fault but scandalous
I believe the score for this work can be found at the Tiroler Landesmuseen Ferdinandeum in Innsbruck Austria. I believe, if I recall correctly, the music curator's name is Dr. Franz Gratl. Of course, that information is years old, but the museum has a website wherein you could inquire.
hey, there, another discovery, we're always checking out the off the wall comps. my 2 cellists and me. Just getting into Lennox Berkeley, I'm just ecxtactic over our discoveries of Koechlin Brettones Chansons. delirious pschedelic masterpieces. Douglas Viola, piano etc
here we go again.. another unheard of master composer. how about a good key Bm for a cello concerto! here's the wiki link...thanks....en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josef_Pembaur Douglas Gunderson viola, piano, organ, guitar, recorders and poet of SD CA
What a masterful performance of a Composer I knew nothing about. I love the Cello and what a soothing Concerto!
Just got done listening to Pembaur's symphony. Thought I'd click on his cello concerto. Why is this composer not more well known. Good stuff.
This channel is great because it also has info on where to get music as well as composer info

Who are you and how do you find these gems? As a passionate cellist who’s constantly looking for lesser known cello rep, I’m indebted to you.
