However, I imagine that precise calibration would be essential for the laser's operation. I believe it's plausible, and I've noticed less expensive laser machines that use pre-cut, model-specific metal shields to protect the internals, rather than CNC. However, personally this falls outside my scope. I apologize for not being able to provide specific answers.

Can you see anything on the display when you lay the glass with the polarizer film (dark tint layer) over the top?
