David Berry and Tim Braxl are two of the most positive men in the gay community. I love James and Henry in A Place Called Home. When Henry and James both jump in the river and make love under water, that is my favorite scene. Henry and James have a very special kind of love that can not be shattered. Two of the best men in Australia.

Jason Gibson - and excellent acting, as you know one doesn't have to be a gay man to portray one honestly in a role. For years gay men played straight roles. (Rock Hudson, etc). Now David is a straight man playing a gay man and doing it with beautiful results.

Thank you, for your kind words. I am a gay man and I am a fan of Henry and James, also I am fan David and Tim. Watching Henry and James falling in love with one another, melted my heart, because to it looked and felt so real. I am looking for autographed pictures of David and Tim, but ebay has very limited items that are about them. If you know how to get their autographs please let me know. I live in the US and I think our gay culture needs to know that both guys are positive gay role models Back in the late 1990's early 2000's I tried to be straight. I went to two ministers for counseling, but during those counseling sessions I felt miserable. I tried and tried to be heterosexual. I wanted go through electric shock treatment, but the people quit doing that to other people. In early 2000teens, around 2011or 2012, I slowly accepted my self as being gay .So, I relate to how James feels and David played that part so well. I think I have found new role models for my life and they are David Berry and Tim Braxl. Thank you for your time - Jason

Jason Gibson My youngest daughter is gay and I hope that she always knows she is loved and supported and doesn't ever feel the pain of open discrimination or hatred. I have no doubt that David will be doing more public appearances in the US in future due to his work with Outlander. This video was from a convention in Rome, but he'll get to the US soon. In the mean time you can also usually send a self addressed stamped envelope with a photo or item to sign and a letter explaining your request to his manager's office. It may take a few weeks or months, but they usually reply as time permits. Good luck! And always be yourself and proud of who you are!

I am gay and I watch A Place Called Home, because of Henry and James. As a gay male I am attracted to James and Henry. They both show that being gay can be positive and happy. Queer As Folk, showed a bunch of gay young men being bitter and unhappy most of the time. I thought the best thing about that show was Michael and Ben. Also, David. David was only there for one season on Queer As Folk. If had to choose between Queer As Folk and A Place to Call Home. I am always going to choose A Place to Call Home. Season 5 has already been filmed and for people in the US we should see season 5 release in 2018. Thank you for your kind words. I would advise you as a parent to see Queer As Folk by your self first, then if you feel it is a positive show for your daughter then both of you can watch it together. But there not many positive story lines in that show. But at the time my generation loved that show. To me, it was okay, it really showed people being gay in a bad light, I hope the producers realize that now.

Jason Gibson I'm in the Customer Service industry. So a high percentage of the folks who work for me have an alternative lifestyle of one kind or another. It's just always happened - I didn't consciously make that decision. I think I'm drawn to hire people because of the empathy and passion they have in helping others. It's a beautiful quality to possess. I also volunteer on the weekends at a local theater. So at the risk of sounding cliche - some of my best friends are gay. But yes, the shows you mention are excellent. I am happy to see more LGBTQ characters on mainstream shows. And not just as a token non-demential character. My daughter and I have watched shows together, including some excellent Discovery channel type documentaries about the science / brain chemistry that debate nature vs nurture, shows that follow gender reassignment surgery candidates through their journey, etc. John Barrowman had an excellent show a few years back. Fascinating stuff. And I'm sorry, but therapy won't change orientation any more than therapy can convince my eyes to change color. 😕
