Gibraltar is at the forefront of making cleaner fuels available in its bunkering services, according to the new Captain of the Port.
John Ghio told GBC that Gibraltar has taken the first steps towards this, but also highlighted that change can take time in the industry, with ships needing to be retrofitted or rebuilt.
He said the level of interest in LNG bunkering in Gibraltar has been good, including interest in more suppliers setting up to offer the service.
