Ok I love this. I didn’t think they would do like a third evolution to all these abilities. This is good and I can’t wait to see what they do when Friday comes. I feel like this is a reference to 64 where you can combine abilities, some of them in this game reminds me of that. But other then that, it’s good to see them trying new things like evolution. I’m sure no one has saw this coming. Also with the Meta Knight Sword if you look closely, Kirby is doing the three slash attack meta knight does, so maybe as you said we may get it by defeating meta knight. Also is the colosseum part of the story or is it like the arena/true arena? Also the fact that Kirby can now stop time makes him very overpowered. You think the evolution to the copy abilities may have happened due to the portal?
probably part of the story, i don’t think any boss aside from the ex versions of the final bosses get a new or unique cutscene in any of the kirby games. also unless they changed it in this game, all main bosses in the arena modes just take place in their normal areas, only the miniboss rushes have taken place in an actual coliseum afaik
I mean it wasn’t like Kirby wasn’t already overpowered in game, in many games you have abilities which allow you to spam invincibility frames as well as a hitbox, like hammer Also with time stop you are giving up most ways of attacking enemies

I think they might add more abilities if they do dlc perhaps? Maybe new or past abilities can comeback. Don't think it'll be to many maybe 5 but it's still gonna be good if they do
So if it's one Rare Stone per bonus level, and they seem to need 2 per evolution of an ability, and there's two evolutions each.... that's 48 bonus levels. I'd say... four per area, so 12 areas with five regular levels (one being boss), means.... A LOTTA LEVELS. :D I'm excited

What i think the two drill ability is that you can drill into the ground like normal, but when you pop out, the two drills continue underground and curve into eachother creating the small earthquake move. Just a guess but that's what it looks like
another possibility for the meta knight sword ability is that it is unlocked via the meta knight amiibo. i feel like they wouldn’t restrict a gameplay feature like that when the game doesn’t have any unique amiibos released alongside it, but i could see it being unlockable early via a meta knight amiibo. i’m not sure if they’ve said it has amiibo support, but if it does i feel like it would be a missed opportunity if they had amiibo support but didn’t let you use one to unlock the ability early, especially when you consider that amiibo functionality in modern nintendo games is usually just going to be a small bonus or an easy mode of sorts, which fits the meta knight ability pretty well.
7:08 I think meta knight sword has a faster attack speed then normal sword, because A, in the overview trailer, the narrator says that the abilities can allow you to attack faster when showing the meta knight sword, and B, it would add nice contrast. slow and strong with the gigant sword, fast but weaker with the meta knight sword, and balanced stats with the normal sword.

I still dont get why they didnt add beam... I would love to see beam! And I would love to see spear, but bandana waddle dee already has that but stil... the flying green bird copy ability (forgot the name) could also be very cool in the game. But my favorite abiltity has to be fighter kirby. I am gonna be so happy if they add that ability!! (I also love cowboy)
There's a copy ability in Kirby and the Amazing Mirror called Master that gives Kirby some of Meta Knight's moves. Meta Knight sword could easily do the same. Also, Auto Bomb could work like Bombchus in Zelda games
When get Kirby and the Forgotten Land this Friday I am going to find all the evolution copy ability scrolls so I evolve Kirby's copy abilities search for waddle dees and beat the game and I'm sooo hyped for this

Wow, seems like there are hardly any copy abilities in this game compared to the last few Kirby games which all had over 25. I guess the evolving sort of makes up for it but hopefully there are more we haven't seen yet.
i think it’s about what one should expect from the first 3d kirby. i imagine it would be difficult implementing, differentiating, and making a lot of the previous copy abilities actually good in 3d, especially when their moveset can’t be nearly as complex in a 3d game. i think this is a solid line up, every copy ability looks unique and the evolutions will add a lot to the variety, plus there’s mouthful mode
Now I know this is a weird comparison,but when I think about Kirby games I think of them like Sonic games. Kirby has had great games. I consider both Crystal Shards and Kirby Yarn to be classics!🤗 However Kirby has had trash games as well like Rainbow Curse that only focused on gimmicks. Star Allies was a step in the right direction,but it was too short.

I think having a smaller ability pool than other games but having multiple variants of those abilities is a good compromise.
Might be how they do things going forward.

Storm Tornado looks absolutely amazing
Ice kirby can freeze enemies and bosses. While fire attacks can burn enemies and bosses causing them to take damage overtime

The third stage of the Ice power I feel is called Glacier Ice as Needle already Has crystals on it already
Kirby usually gets an extra special ability during the final boss battle.
The only ability that I wish they had was water, that was one of my favorite to use along with yo yo
