Working with dogs is not at all easy, no matter how friendly they are. It was obvious they puppers knew a dog lover when they met her. Thank you Queen Camilla, for your hard work for a family that is going through difficult times. I never thought I would turn into a fan, but you've won me over with your wonderful good works as well as withstanding years of dreadful attacks by grifters.

Camilla IS the queen consort, but that is not her title. It is the descriptive name for the king’s wife. It distinguishes her from a queen regnant such as Queen Elizabeth II. But Camilla’s style/title is Her Majesty The Queen. Every king’s wife has that style/title. It is enshrined in common law. Charles has nothing to do with it.

I am sure knowing the queens love of dogs she wasn't upset in the least to be upstaged by the dog, as indeed most people wouldn't be - dogs and children are very good judges of character and the both love Queen Camilla and also Princess Catherine and indeed it does seem to be the case for most if not all of the senior working members of the royal family .........

I have to admit at the beginning I did not take to her being married to Charles but I have a different opinion of her now. Dogs are good judges of people. They either take to you because they recognize a kindred spirit or choose to ignore you. At worst, if they understand you don't like them then they bite, a last resort.
Dogs only bite if they feel threatened or scared.

When I was seven, I was sat in the drive playing with my 4 year old brother when a neighbour's dog charged up the drive, leapt at my brother and ripped his face open - not unlike in that famous video of the toddler on his trike that the dog attacks and his family cat runs out and body slams the dog.

@@shirleyswaine4701 I understand your point. I will tell you the story of my cousin and his wife. He had two dobermans. He and his wife bought the dogs as puppies from the same litter. The dogs went to obedience school and lived in the duplex with them. The wife fed the dogs, walked them, bathed them, and sat on the sofa every night watching tv with them. When the dogs were almost two, one night the dogs just went crazy. They were lying on the floor in their beds, and for no reason they went at the wife on the sofa. One ripped into her face and neck while the other took chunks out of her arms, hands, and shoulders. My cousin had to run in the bedroom, get his handgun, and shoot the dogs. There was so much blood that it seeped into the downstairs apartment! When the EMTs and police came, they were shocked----they didn't think the wife would make it. She survived, but she could never work again with the gravity of the wounds, the extensive plastic surgeries over years and more. I would go and visit her once a week and read to her in the hospital and then the nursing home. It took years for her to regain any mobility in her arms and hands, and when she went out in public she always wore a hat with a dark veil so that people couldn't see what her face looked like. Her hands were covered with gloves, and she wore long sleeves all the time. I can understand exactly where you are coming from in your post. I can't tell you how many infections the woman had over the first five years post-bites. She and her husband are long gone, but the brutality of that dog attack still resonates in the family. I am sorry for you and your brother----you that you had to see such an attack and for your brother who had to endure all the pain and suffering. God bless you both!
