If you coat the corrugated iron with linseed oil, it'll help protect it from rusting more and make it slightly shiny. Same with the raw timber. Where your shower is, you need to tuck the small sheets of corrugated iron under the high sheets to stop water entering behind them.
Love your build it has so much character. You're doing a fantastic job 👍

You can get VHT hight temperature clear coat for fire back to keep that good patina. Love your rustic van. I had a TK Bedford similar interior

Nice one it’s looking great! Love the burner we just installed ours! And I got a video soon too! I would say go with building your own compost toilet! And love the idea of not relying on gas! Keep it up man can’t wait to see it finished!!

I have gone all electric, no gas, on our build. You need to be really careful, and mindful of the amount of amps you need on the DC side to power the inverter. I have a 200hah lithium battery powering a 3500 watt continuous sine wave inverter. By example my 6 liter 240v water heater draws 10 amps on the AC side but 150 amps on the DC side!! My induction hob on full power will draw 200amps on the DC side!. If you go this route you are much better off having a 24 volt battery set up with a 24 volt inverter. This will halve the amps on the DC side. Step down controllers are really cheap. This will convert your 24 volt back down to 12 volts for lights, water pump, chargers ETC. Again think about the amps. As you come out of the controller to your 12 volt fuses the amps will increase so good cable sizing reqired. Loving the build so far, good luck and keep going. .... Ged

We're not running out of gas pal we're surrounded by it however by using electric cooking storage etc if you hook up the power stations use combination of horrible resources to provide that power

How much did you pay for it?

Pay for the truck originally? £7500 I think I overpaid though considering the work it needed

@@peacebethejourney6978 oh wow- yes definitely overpaid. Something like that would sell for as much as £3500
