  • Got my 1977 Lawn Boy 7024 Bricktop out for a little golden hour mow. She has been sitting for about 2 years so she was a bit hesitant to start but we got her up and mowing again!

I have that same lawn mower and still use it every week. I've had it ever since I can remember.

One of the best lawn boys ever, both the engine and deck style

Yours looks much nicer than the one wife pushes. I just keep replacing broken wheels with used ones. Hers has little paint left but won't give up on it. I fix mowers but won't use any other till fall. Have a crafty with a bag.

I always thought the placement of the wheels on the deck was kind of strange. When you see it in action it is a great side discharge machine. Thanks for the clip.

I agree. I always liked the fact that they were two stroke but they were always a little hard to start and the bag set up on the side made it more cumbersome and it limited your ability to cut close to fences, etc.

Nice, Still have my 1986 model that I bought new. Don't use it much, I have someone doing my yard now.

Those old Lawn Boy 2-strokes with the magnesium deck are tough to beat. They run forever and because they are 2-stroke, there is no oil to change. I have this same mower and have been using it continuously since 1985. My father has been using it since about 1976.
