Asian Americans are sometimes stereotyped as the “silent model minority” in the United States. But some Asians are not willing to settle for this cliché. By doing stand-up comedy and telling jokes on stage, they are able to gain attention, fame, and stardom. How did they make it? What are their styles of comedy? Dayday talks to Dang Peng, a Chinese stand-up comedian who is an up-and-coming comedian in Texas.
