Imagine Miki being handled like Katy Perry or Lily Allen. She could have been a legend. But that would have wrecked this fantastic, rough, rawness. I love this clip, just as it is.
Loved this at the time. Thought the lyrics were really clever and the bright red hair caught my attention too. Ended up buying the album. Still give it the occasional play.
I was fortunate enough to meet Miki and Emma after their Lollapalooza show in New Orleans in 92'. They were sweaty and sweet and so very sexy. Cool experience.
I went to Lollapolooza '92 (or maybe '93) just to see Lush and Ministry. I also saw them in Denver about '91 at Rock Island. The Flaming Lips, who sucked, opened for them. Awesome. Miki was so hot then.
Its great Lush have come back. Stop wasting time in the US and start playing to us loving fans in Britain. Miki in a green mini how lush was that I wish I was standing close to get a whiff of her
this band will always be in my heart and i totally agree with @theragauze, programs like the one he/she mentioned are important to encourage good self-esteem and creativity.
@rowdymax1 - you guys are right on. these guys so raw which is awesome. they could perform there songs without any tricks or gimmicks. they didn't use auto voice correction software back then. todays artist are just record label puppets. bring back those days where musicians actually could perform without added gimmicks.
This is before auto-tuning. I kinda like some songs that have auto-tune but this is the actual shit that's live and sounds like the recording. PURE VOCAL TALENT SHOULD NOT BE DESTROYED BY A MACHINE!!!!
I follow you in a way but on the other hand I think you should read what Miki said about the band split on 4AD website, or on the "Under the radar" interview.
Young 'uns can still rock, you know. If you'd observe the world a bit instead of acting like an old biddy you'd notice that easily. Stop acting that way, you're young ffs!
I really liked Lush's tunes & that Emma was a sweet thing wasn't she? I just don't feel that the drummer offing himself should've been the band's demise. If he couldn't cheer up even though he was with the foxy Miki & touring with her doesn't mean we all have to suffer.
@girlie347 but you can do something about it. look up "girls rock ri" some local female musicians created a program to give young girls a chance to play rock music by partnering them with other young girls (often as young as 11-14 years old) showing them some basics on different instruments and then allowing them to write a song together and at the end of the program perform it on stage at a local club. just slagging off "nowadays teens" is unproductive, invest in showing them another way.
Hahaha Sky Scottish. Like that was ever going to work. Stupid. I remember going to a Scottish Junior Cup semi final at Adamslie Park Kirkintilloch around that time and it was live coverage on Sky Scottish with Gerry Mc Nee and Charlie Nicholas. I wonder how many people actually watched it at home..
Incredible band! Lush all the way!
What a great sound. Lush are sadly missed.
WE GET THE PIC-SHA!
진심 넘 좋음..러쉬는 지존최고의 갓밴드임
Yes, brilliant. Fantastic song!
Thanks for posting this #NCAA06!!

I saw them twice on that tour. Those were awesome shows. I MISS LUSH SO MUCH....
Ciao! should have been released as a single. Bestest love song ever.

She's super hot. Her parents are Romanian and Japanese and she grew up in England. I went to Lollapolooza '92 to see them and Ministry.
I heart LUSH! Red for danger, green for good luck...

I heard this when I was 12, it started a lifelong crush on all beautiful women with English AK-sents.
Holy...shit.
Well put. fatcatbuzz, a point well taken!
This songs about the bass player
RIP Chris
Miki is so hot. saw them in Frisco around '96. they were great.
God like
A lot of girls who went to their gigs felt sorry to have come with their boyfriend. This video shows why. The cries from the front rows too.
She is better than drugs :-)
Awesome song. Can anyone please post the actual video for this song?
@ZeeKat yeah I really call it rocking when kids are turning the gain knob to what? 2 or 3 at most :P

Amendment : Miki's father is Hungarian (not Romanian) and her mother Japanese, I still wonder how did they meet !
Yes, a huge Camden cockney accent !
I stand corrected. Yeah, Miki's very exotic looking and has an accent, too. Yummy!
They sound fine to me man. It's not like they're the Allman Brothers.
beautiful band..when was this?
lol
I get the picture..
So you met them ? Can you tell us more about it ?
I follow you in a way but on the other hand I think you should read what Miki said about the band split on 4AD website, or on the "Under the radar" interview.
What year of T in the Park is this from??
Hi Miki xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
something like that, Japanese/hungarian i believe.
Young 'uns can still rock, you know. If you'd observe the world a bit instead of acting like an old biddy you'd notice that easily. Stop acting that way, you're young ffs!
yummy
I don't know about that.I think her vocals are quite good actually here. She looks yummy.
british accent = mouth full of food

I have to agree. British BANDS are always better than bands in the states. The reverse is true when it concerns solo artists.
Is(was)there anything hotter than an Asian girl with a British accent playing guitar?
I don't believe so

Some people don't know good music even when it's right in front of them. Oh well...go look for some Fall Out Boy.
Yes. For one thing they are british. British bands have been and always will be better than bands in the states. This is a fact. Period!
I think Pearl Jam played that year, too. They were fucking awful, as always.
don't like this at all - abandoning their sound to copy elastica, why?
