I, think defective batting line - up selection. Imam - ul haq is not made for fifty over match, in 2019 world cup he was opener, he wasted , " power play ", time he is not made to make big hits , he slowed Pakistani run rate , in many T50 and T 20 games.
In, T - 20 world cup, Iftikhar and Azam Khan were wrongly selected. They, destroyed Pakistani batting.
In , super over against USA, it was blunder to send Iftikhar.
Defective, batting line selection and many years giving Imam ul Haq , responsibility for opening, when he is not capable of making good hits , are responsible for Pakistani team downfall.

Well I would just say one thing and that is fine if you're changing entire team but for GOD sake don't abandon players like Rizwan and Babar - don't give them captaincy while Rizwan for now can be a good option for captaincy but these two particular players are your spinal cord doesn't matter how much you hate them but this is s reality that when these two players made runs, Pakistan did dominate and because they didn't make enough runs in this WC which is one of biggest reasons Pakistan struggled
They should not be in t20 team.

I think that no one has the ability to do captaincy at big stages except Babar Azam. Sarfaraz Ahmad was a good captain of his era but now we have seen his captaincy in recent PSL editions. So, Babar Azam should remain the captain. In fact the changes in middle order is required we should have at least a hard hitter or a finisher batsman in middle order and a good spin attack
