She always loved him, but Wiliam betrayed her with abusing her son behind her back, that made Clara loosing trust in Wiliam, because of that she wanted him to suffer for what he did, so she can protect her children..I know what she did was wrong, but dont forget Wiliam is not a saint either, they are both evil and not only Clara..Wiliam too!
