This is the sweet spot. Depreciation is almost finished and soon will be appreciating. For 2 simple reasons: 1) V12's are extinct; 2) S-Class Coupes are extinct. It's irreplaceable.

An S65 Coupe is in better condition, has more power and a 7-speed transmission for quicker acceleration and fuel efficiency vs the CL65's 5-speed. Apple CarPlay is also onboard or can be upgraded to. Some even have convertible tops and refrigerators lol. Mercedes improved the big V12 coupe tremendously. S65 Coupe > CL65.

Cabrio cant have a fridge, cramped rear, cant have high end speaker system... Fuel efficiency matters for longer the convenience of driving ranges. A quick price check shows S65's Coupes still priced over US$100k. No CL65 is priced even close. S65's depreciate slower. Even with the same miles. It's just the facts not competition.
Saw an S63 of this gen once and curious enough to look up. Yeah V8 and 4 doors must've been sedan not coupe. Love the metal buttons in lieu of the current gen's capacitive. The dash always had me lapping up its sumptuous look. The clock is classy Today is an ipad and on the passenger side the PLAINEST; dull dash imaginable. Today's V8 electric hybrid electric with sweet engine noise revs pumped into the cabin and in the far corner V12's purity.
The pre-facelift grill is the classic design DNA from all of the previous S-Class convertibles going back decades. That's the one for me.@@rorypond9117

I removed the mufflers. Sounds much better without be to loud. I just did brakes and rotors up front and it cost me $500 did the labor myself.
