Qri is absolutely lovely looking - smouldering slit eyes, narrow waist paired with flaring hips, her butt movements easily capture the attention of male and female eyes alike.
Hyomin's prettiness is arresting enough to look at - but when camera pans on Qri, she's drop dead gorgeous in comparison.
Qri's beauty alone would have easily put the other girls appearance in the shade. Remember, she is also a model. Thus the Dance Director very smartly place Qri to anchor audience interest towards the rear corners. If they haven't done that, audience interest would focus only on Qri and the group would become only famous by only one member. That might cause the group's novelty to die out quickly.
T'ARA was very successful because the Dance Director was acutely conscious - they must develope EVERY individual's talent to the max in order that the audience can appreciate differences of talent for each girl.
If you analyze each girl carefully, you'll notice their elaborate hair-do never gets in the way of their dance movement. That is talent in the hands of their make-up artists AND the hair stylist. The hair of every girl is styled differently and look healthy and lustrous. I'm reliably informed the fees for each girl's hairdo cost over $1,000. For 6 girls, that's over $6,000 just to prepare their hair !
And the costumes ? They are way over the top in terms of quality, fit, materials and style. In their early days, years 2009 to 2010 T'ARA costumes were budget-quality but after they went viral, the Company could afford top-notch designs for everything seen on stage.
The icing on T'ARA's cake has always been the songs and music. It's like ABBA's songs; very easy on the ears, infectious and addictive.
The Koreans are very thorough and that explains why success breeds success.

I think I know her story but I still don't quite understand it. She spent a lot of time in the background, singing very little; she really came forth only in their last songs. As far as I can tell, there was never anything wrong with her voice and singing. As for her looks, she seemed, not surprisingly, rather immature in the early videos, but that quickly changed. And her dancing skills were certainly au pair with others'. So what was the problem?
