-Would you like me to show you the door? -That's very kind of you sir, but I saw it on my way in! Love them so much. Especially Michael. :P Thanks a lot !
I want an outfit like Micheal's in the cycling tour. Definitely one of his best characters, and him and Terry's character would are perfect sitcom material
I can see why Monty Python has infiltrated our (ie British) culture, as well as that of a surprising number of other countries. So many things bring to mind MP episodes. Eg someone has commented that Clodagh Rogers has been immortalised by this episode. Likewise, I can never listen to the Gounod/Liszt waltz from 'Faust' without expecting to hear a sudden crash, followed by an inane voice saying, "August 18th, fell off near Bovey Tracey".
wow, i remember first watching this episode long time ago. i was like, thats it? that didnt feel like 30 minutes! One of my favorite Python episodes ^_^
Micah Newman Frequently. Squashed AND crushed.... and my bicycle pump often gets caught in my sock.... well, my trouser leg, at any rate.... happy days!
wtf is going on here? some vids play. some simply won't. it never happens when i use my wife's windows computer, only my macbook. i am ready to drop IT off a 2000 ft. drop.
Once again: The Pythons ruin a brilliant idea by making their usual Dadaistic nonsense! Instead of using this cycling tour nonsense as a mere pretext to explain why an average English person would come to believe that he is in fact the evil Marxist minion Trotsky and return to Moscow in order to defeat his Nemesis Stalin; which would have been a lot more funny and of course given the Pythons the chance to satirize Marxism in the why they did Christendom in the Life of Brian.
"Cycling Tour" is a masterpiece. Python's best episode. On to Part 2.
Loved almost every word of every season, but this episode-long sketch with non-stop laughs is a masterpiece.
my favorite python sketch of all time

Thanks a lot !
@malibudollparts So true. The charm's entirely driven by Michael Palin. See how young he was here.
Wouldn't mind buying her a bottle of Taizer... if it's still available.
(Seriously. Carol looks smoking hot in that bit!)
I remember seeing this on PBS in around 1975. Very memorable and one of my favorites if not absolute favorite.
The praise for Palin is justified, but to me this episode is all about Terry Jones at his finest! One of Python's best moments, thanks for posting.

Mr Pither was one of MP's greatest moments!

I stinking love this. It's so adorable! The man would likely be horribly annoying if Michael Palin's adorability wasn't so all-encompassing.
my all time favorite episode
Este capítulo es de gran lucimiento para Terry Jones. Gran actor cómico. Que expresividad! !!😆😂😃
The music is a waltz from Charles Gounod's 'Faust', composed in the late 1850s.
So many lines from this run through my head when I'm cycling!
Any sandwiches get badly damaged?
