Thanks for sharing this video. I'm from buenos ayres born and raised . The last street you entered is call Puerto Grande. It's been 30 years since I left Trinidad, and never came back. However it was great seeing all new developments. I use to ride box carts on those streets, have many scars to prove it 😂. Yes the roads was in good condition back then believe it or not. At the dead end there use to be houses which I are reclaim by the sea. I came from a big family I that area so it was good seeing their houses which I still recognize.
The Fyzabad /Siparia backroads introduce us to a fascinating area. Pure magic!. Mind relaxes, the imagination runs on steroids. There is a peculiar charm beauty -and character - even in the little imperfections of places which have evolved naturally, formed from simple dreams, communal solidarity, shared troubles and pain , love for the neighbour. i have always felt that there is something insincere, almost dishonest, in that which is constructed to impress. Those roads are some of my favourite places. Will be on them soon. Thank you for what you do. We may learn to see again a beauty we have lost sight of, the one in in the simple things , and people, around us.
Thanks for all your input into this road trip. I appreciate your perspective and look forward to your comments on my other videos: jbsmancave.com/trinidad-and-tobago-road-trip-map/
Goodnight JB , my sister and I are enjoying the ride now and listening to you talk about the stress that you are dealing with. We can relate as we ourselves have been dealing with loss that comes with a degree of stress and grief. We turn to prayer and our faith in a living Christ to comfort us.
Hi good night JB It’s really wonderful what you’re doing, showcasing 1 Trinidad as it is, no frills added. I am familiar with all the places you passed through. As I mentioned before I grew up in penal, went to siparia jr & sr sec Even went as far as Santa Flora lots of memories for me. So thanks for the refresher 😂😂. South still looks and feels like country side to me especially when you are travelling from up north going down south,it’s very noticeable especially if you are a foreigner ( all good though,I am used to it but my son pointed it out to me) the difference that is. Thanks again🙏🥰❤️🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Shamilla, thank you kindly. Keep watching... lots more to come and look at my other videos you have not seen: jbsmancave.com/trinidad-and-tobago-road-trip-map/
Thank you for showing the area I grew in Penal and it has developed so much really is breath taking one thing I can remember I didn't hear you talk about the bus shed which was near the laundry mat, my siblings and I walk those street many years ago but it's beautiful make me feel to come back to my area to live. When I left the market was now developing and we just got the police station I'm so excited to see how advance we came , Thank you so much. Well done

Great video of the south, I grew up in St.Augustine and most of my family is from north, so never seen that area. Trinidad was really nice in the 70's & 80s... Not sure I will be visiting with the current state of the country. I am currently residing in North Fl. Keep up the good work!!
Roads of penal and to other areas is one heck of a trip...The lack of highway involvement makes the trip a lot longer and it does look the same. Thanks for showing us around JB.
What advice you have for someone who recently got there license and practiced with instructor prior on highway 3 times and now wants to start driving on highway by myself? I know my regs, i know about rd safety but I'm a little nervous to do it by myself completely but i need to start soon.
Shernade, if the highway is a fear then I would practice on it often until it is no loner the case. I would start at a time when no one is there or a highway that is not frequented often such as the new one that goes towards Point Fortin (depending on what is closest for you). Disclaimer: these are my personal tips -- I do not know your personal situation and cannot give any professional advice. Just adding that there for coverage. 😉
Hi, yes I agree with you, I'm doing as much practice as possible before I go out there completely alone. I usually drive it on Sundays. The more practice the more confident I am but I don't rush things. i always listen to my gut. It's my car it ain't running away lol people always want to force me to drive all over by myself but I don't listen to them I watch too much of your videos to know that there's alot of stupid drivers out there.
Radoin, I cannot say for unskilled labor. However, there is always a need for medical professional. Some companies may need very skilled personnel in specific jobs involving oil / gas and engineering.
How many of you have never seen these areas in South TRINIDAD, an island in the Caribbean?
Me. For example. Just i Know Port of Spain and Chaguanas. Too i travel near Icacos, Port Fortain and San Fernando
Only parts of Penal.
Thanks for being more definitive i.e. describing the areas and significant buildings, keep up the good work.

Hello, Trinidad is as it always is where people try to make the best of it all.

Hi JB

Hey Steve, what did you think of the drive?

Radoin, I cannot say for unskilled labor. However, there is always a need for medical professional. Some companies may need very skilled personnel in specific jobs involving oil / gas and engineering.
@@JBsManCave Thank you. I mean, a man who does not have an academic or educational education does not find opportunities
Radoin, there are many immigrants in the country now doing unskilled labor so I believe it is saturated at the moment.
Erin beach is where we go to purchase fish
